The sound of marching suddenly reached the window from the street, that horrifying synchronization of well-trained, Type IA soldiers, prepared for full-blown war at the sound of a whistle. Marketa snapped awake at the sound, looking down at the baby in her arms as if to merely ensure that she was still there. She was. Mar let out a small sigh and leaned into Skoba's warm embrace, listening to the sound of the city outside. The sound of children playing went silent with the rhythmic marching of the soldiers. At least the snow had stopped; it even looked a bit sunny out, the glare off the freshly-fallen stuff blinding. "We should go somewhere," she murmured sleepily, not really thinking beyond the suggestion in itself.

"I'll go wherever you want to go," Sirius said softly, trying not to annoy the dozing baby in Marketa's arms. With Marketa's head nestled against him, he felt like he could travel the world, and would, as long as she was with him.

Mar smiled to herself, her eyes still closed as she leaned against Sirius's shoulder. She never imagined she could become so attached to someone in such a short time. He was her best friend in the whole world, and the only one she could really rely on. "I can show you Wizard District," she suggested, wakening just a bit at the prospect. The official Wizarding District was in Prague, but it was only a short Vlak Expresní ride there, and the most fun of the trip was watching the countryside that Socialism couldn't touch go by.
