Lore let out a breath, his shoulders sag a little as he relaxed a bit. Holding Elnara close as he danced, though he wondered if Elnara could hear his heart racing.

Well probably, heck he could hear his heart, but that was probably the rush of everything that was happening.

"Good, then after the first dance is over I guess."

And in a wide open space at least no one was going to crack their heads.

She turned her head to explain to Earendil the rules, "Hide and seek tag, is a bit kind of like what we do only with one more added rule or two. Like we've done, one of us is set to find the others, while everyone else hides. The difference is, there is a spot that is considered 'safe', which is the starting point for the person it. The object of the game for those hiding is to sneak out of their hiding spots and run to the safe location, touching it they're safe. The person looking has to tag or touch the other people before they reach the safe place. If another person is tagged, then they also become it, and start looking for other people to tag."

She wondered, looking over to the other tables if anyone else wanted to play. Lin watched as her father took her mother out to the dance floor.

The first dance was over far too quickly, in Elnara's mind, and though she lifted her head from Lore's chest, she did not let go of his hand, but rather gave his hand a slight squeeze and smiled at him.

"After we're finished dancing," she murmured softly, so that only he would hear her, "before we head up to our room ... I ... there's something I would like to give you ..."

Somewhere private ... in their room, if he preferred, but she didn't care where, as long as it was private.

As the music changed and a new song began, Shiro clapped and rose to his feet, then stretched and looked at the people around him.

"Well, good night everyone," he smiled cattily, waving tiredly. "I shall see you all in the morning. Play safe."

And with that, he headed around the dance floor and towards the door.

Lore tilted his head curious, even though he kept on dancing to the new tune. He couldn't help but wonder what Elnara had in mind.

"Alright," he murmured in return, "But that won't be for a while yet."

He grinned at her, after all the night wasn't over yet.

"Iris and I will join if you don't mind," a voice behind Lin spoke.

Behind her was Triton, holding Iris who was trying to swat Triton's pony tail, that or chew on it, it was hard to tell since she was not facing the table.

He sighed and explained softly, "I think Iris snuck in a few more sweets than I would have allowed her, it will be hard to get her to bed at the moment."

Elnara giggled at Lore and squeezed his hand, then began to dance along with him once more.

"I know," she smiled warmly at him. "I just don't want to forget, that's all."

She spun closer to him, then went up on her tiptoes to kiss his chin before dancing once more.

Kaito grinned at Triton and nodded. "Sounds good to me," he agreed. "The more the merrier. But you might want to keep an eye on her, we'll be outside - I think the gardens would be the best place ... and if you lose her, well, it might be a while before we can find her again, I don't know if she would know to keep to a certain area."

He knew this because he had once been no different from Iris. However, growing, and time with his brother, learning, had matured him and taught him much, and now he could be as human as he liked - when he chose to be.

"I will," Triton assured Kaito, "I'm hoping for the sugar crash to kick in part way through the game."

Which was why he was allowing Iris to have a bit of a run, though knowing her she was probably going to be more likely to let herself get tagged as an excuse to change others... unless she was it.

"Great," Lin rose from her seat and stretched.

She had been sitting way too long, at least that's what it felt like to her, and that... was something she was not use to at all.

"Then shall we?"

Kaito nodded, grinning mischievously. "Let's go!" he said brightly; and he led them all towards the door and outside.

After over an hour of almost straight dancing, breaking only for drinks now and then, Elnara was finally too tired to continue on. It was very late by that time, and all of the children had gone to bed (or outside, she suspected, in a few cases). Most of the adults were still there, though, either dancing or chatting. But she was ready to call it a day.

The current song ended, and though another began again right away, she stopped dancing and slipped her arms around Lore's back, holding him close.

"Well, my handsome husband?" she smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Shall we head off?"

Lore smiled down upon Elnara as he placed a light kiss upon her head. He chuckled, which vibrated throughout his chest. It was such a good feeling to do so.

"Yes... just the two of us," he murmured.

Besides it wasn't like anyone was going to be very surprised, it was getting very late.

The nuptial chambers had been prepared over a week beforehand, so Elnara knew exactly where it was they needed to go, and she giggled softly at Lore as she tugged on his hand, leading him out of the room.

She just hoped that the item was still where she had hidden it.

He smiled, which wasn't unusual, he had been smiling all day, but there was a content look to it. That and she seemed... almost mischeivous to him.

"I'm half tempted to ask what is going on in your mind, but that would ruin the surprise right?" Lore asked her as he followed.

Elnara giggled again, her eyes sparkling brightly.

"It might," she agreed. "And since it won't be more than a few minutes before you find out anyways, I'm sure you can be patient."

The corridors were not nearly as bright as they usually were; it seemed as though only half of the torches were kept lit during the night. This didn't bother Elnara, though, if it had been bright it might have been hard on the eyes, but as things were it was perfect.

Lore laughed a bit, that was most certainly true, "I can be very patience when called for."

The dim lighting just made it all the more mysterious to him as he walked down the hallway with her. The foot steps tapped against the floor and he could feel the warmth of the torches.

It was not much further to the nuptial chamber, which was set apart from every other bedchamber in the castle so that the newlywed couple would have complete privacy on their wedding night. Elnara led Lore inside and led him over to the bed, where she smiled at him and motioned for him to sit.

"I'll be right back," she murmured, moving off to the other side of the room. She slipped open a drawer and removed a small wrapped box, then returned to Lore and sat next to him, holding it out to him.

"Open it," she smiled encouragingly.
