Caleb tilited his head slightly. "You are teacher? Nevermind..." He got off of the ground. "Well, there actually is not a class that I know of yet, so I am sure that would make you the only one."

Mahi nodded.
"I've worked for the time government for 12 years, so I don't see why I shouldn't be a Time Control teacher. I have Methuselan blood, so that automatically helps! And smaller classes are better, since the students are more likely to concentrate. If there's only one kid in a class, you obviously pay attention to that student, so they can't be dozing off! It's one of the things I learned in my psychology courses."

Caleb began to walk. "Come along now..." He said, walking back to his classroom.

Mahi skipped along after him.
"Did you model your clothes after one of those old-era plague doctors? I think that's right. I could tell from the mask. I could be wrong, though."

"Yes.... 'Modeled'..." Caleb replied as he opened the door to the building with his pale white slender fingers. "Haste."

Mahi hurried to a random seat, and sat down. She scratched the back of her neck, and took out paper and pencils from apparently thin air.

((Time to recycle a post.))
Caleb came to his chalkboard. "Good, it would be most beneficial for you to take notes. Because I will rarely teach the same thing twice." Caleb turned back her. "Now, the basics of alchemy is changing the properties of an element into another. Such as lead into gold or even splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen, which, we can figure out this outcome with a elemental balanced equation. The solution of the question will tell you what you will obtain in the end and how it can be obtained." Caleb walked up back to the board, a piece of chalk in his right hand and wrote up H+O=H
2O. "Now, these equations are quite simple to decipher if all of you would pay enough attention to listen." He wrote up a simple equation, one that he would expect that she would at least understand. "Now, what happens to be wrong with this equation?"
PostPosted: Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:34 pm

Mahi answered after writing down all off the notes.
"Well, there need to be two units of Hydrogen in order for it to be H2O. If there was only one unit of H, it'd be HO. I heard somewhere that there was an alloy made from hydrogen-oxygen from water, but that's H2O2..."

"Still missing some of the most of the key elements." Caleb said, correcting her. "Now, Hydrogen should be written as H2, but as well Oxygen needs to written as O2because both of them are in a special field of elements that when they are alone, they will bond with themselves." Caleb put the twos next to the H and O on the left side of the equation. "Now, what digit needs to go on the right side to balance the Oxygens on both sides?"

Mahi paused.
"Um... is it two? I'm not sure about that one."

"Yes, it is two." Caleb put another two on the board, next to the water. "And finally since Hydrogen would then equal 4 on the other side, you would have to put another two on the left side next to the hydrogen. Caleb did as he spoke. "This was a quite basic one, nothing was transmuted into another compound or element." Caleb used his yew wand to point to an element chart with alchemical symbol. "Often alchemist such as myself will use these instead of elemental symbols such as on a chart of elements."

Mahi wrote down some more.
"Oh, like a dot inside of a circle inside of a circle to represent the sun?"
She blinked, and then drooped her head in embarrassment.
"Err, wait, that doesn't fit. Never mind, hahah..."

"Now, onto the basics of the class. I will be covering the following fields, transmutation, physics in alchemy, potions, seperating compounds, and a number of various others. But more importantly, I will first teach about the pure basics." Caleb turned back to his board. "Now, outside of class I need you to memorize all of those symbols you have written down as their original elemental name, and symbol on the table of elements."

Mahi took out another sheet of paper, wrote down her syllabus, and then made a small handmade graph to resemble the table of Periodic Elements. On another sheet she wrote down the symbols, and figured that she could fill out the chart a bit later.
"Okay!"
