She put a hand reassuringly on Avarice's shoulder. Feeling for him to not worry at this point, and they could go ahead and leave quickly with little or no further conflict.

Swooping Kirai into his arms, he ran towards Vaclav Castle in Haven.

Terra made a low keening sound, curling up on the ground. her black scale's hid her from most, and her mind was firmly blocked. no one could bother a dragon of death. she had felt the sarrow here, and couldnt help it.. she curled up where she felt sadness and death, wondering what had happened and why.

quietly he fallowed Emily down the street, keeping his gaze on the road infront of him. he had no idea what most of the things around him was, it was easier to tune it out instead of trying to figure it out at the moment. this doctor was close to a healer... thats all he could work out of the way she had said it earlier. Zain never liked haveing to take time for healing, but he also hated being a fool. if he let his injurys stay open it wouldnt help him in anyway, so it was best if he let Emily show him.

Emily walked down the busy streets of Downtown, with Zain following closely behind. She tried to walk quickly, not wanting him to be troubled with or hurt by the scrapes on his arms any longer. She did wonder how they came about, but kept to herself still, respecting Zains privacy.
Emily came to a stop and looked up at two opposing doctors office signs, each rather near to the other. She stood silently for a moment, studying the spirit threads that lead in and out of each building. After a moment, she decided the office on the left must have the most efficient doctor.
"Here we are." She said, turning to Zain and instructing him to follow her inward. Emily entered the building and spoke to the receptionist. Indeed they had come at a good time, the doctor could see him right away.
(OOC: :3 and I'll leave this little tid-bit up to you )

casting a warry glance at the desk he went into the room he had been told to, blinking in the harsh lights of the doctors room. in the space of a moment the doctor was in the room with them, setting a clip board down and looking at Zain.
the man paled when he saw his sword, saying stiffly. " we dont allow wepons here, you will have to let it go and take your sleave covers off."
Zain leveled a cold gaze at the doctor, silently dareing the man to try and take it from him.

Emily noticed the obvious tension, and took action to correct it.
"Doctor." Started Emily, calling for the mans attention. "I'm thinking of hiring this man as a personal guard. It would be most unwise for him to disarm himself as I inspect his ability and willingness to protect. I know you have the most honorable record as the best and most respected doctor in town... you would certainly understand, would you not? ...I will take personal responsibility for any trouble." Emily held a look of confidence that wasn't expected to come with her serene appearance. She glanced at Zain, as if to reassure him. Emily did not want to lie, and thus hoped Zain would go along with this plan for the moment.
If this didn't work, as she wanted to favor Zain first, Emily would readily try to reassure him that letting his weapon be for the moment would be O.K.

the doctor mumbled something but noded, saying clearly as he inched closer. " fine fine.. but he still needs those arm bracer's off."
Zain looked at Emily with a hooded expression, trying to figure out something. almost hesitently he put his sword down on the table behind him, quietly bowing his head. with out a complaint he peeled the arm brace's off, not makeing a sound as it rubed the gash's going up his arms. but he didnt stop there, noding once to warn Emily he then pulled his shirt up and over his head. there were long criss crossing wounds across his torso and back, the chains biteing deep and kept them open for some time. he face blank he sat on the table, his sword wiithin arms length.
with a whistle the doctor started rubing disenfectant on some of the nasiter wounds, saying with awe. " damn boy you can take a beating.. what did you get into a fight with the gangs around here or something?"

Emily let a barely noticeable smile on her face for a moment when the doctor and Zain compromised with one another. She caught Zains nod before his shirt came off, and fully intended not to look, but the large gashes across his back caught her eye none-the-less. He was polite at least, unlike so many men today. She was a bit embarrassed, but hid it effectively.
But those marks, they did look painful to Emily. And she tried not to bother the doctor as he worked and commented on Zains scars. She wondered if Zain would say reply at all. This guy was a good doctor with a nice record, she was confident he'd clean the wounds efficiently.

he closed his eyes, staying quiet as the doctor rambled on about gangsters and and so on. when ever the doctor asked him something he would make a sound and the doctor would go on, obliviuse to the fact that Zain wasnt realy talking.
the doctor stilled, his hand on a wound on Zains back. looking at Emily he motioned for her to come closer. " keep him still if you can.. there is a bit of metal still in this." nervusly he put a small pair of pliar's in the wound and said carfuly. " ready now.. this is not going to feel to nice.." with that he jerked, pulling a broken chain link from Zains back and droping it on the medical table next to him. the edge's were razor sharp and the metal thick. the doctor whinced in sympathy, saying quietly to Zain. " four more that i can see.. the morphine isnt working on you for some reason, so its up to you if you want me to put you under".
Zain paled slightly, his posture going rigid. his hand slowly clentched and unclentched. he wouldnt let anyone do that to him, not for any reason. opening his eyes he pined the doctor with a cold but determind look. " just get them out."

When the doctors instructions came, Emily nodded and stepped over to Zain. He looked strong, so she didn't think she would have to do too much to contain him. But goodness, the wounds were deep and wide. Softly, she placed one hand on Zains left shoulder and another on his corresponding hand. She tried to avoid hurting him by touching large wounds. He felt a bit cold to her, so she worried more and winced just as the doctor did when he began pulling out pieces of metal.
Metal? Large pieces that absolutely looked like broken links of chain.
She thought to herself, 'Emily, you've decided not to bother him with questions.' She glanced over at the weapon Zain had refused to keep far from himself, and then back to his wounds. Emily decided once again that she would do what she could for this stranger. He didn't seem too bad a person, and for the chance to be around someone whose spirit threads she could not see... strangely enough, that was priceless.

with a sigh the doctor pulled the last of the metal from his back. Zain hadnt flinched once.. just watched Emily's face quietly. he had to force himself to sit still while the doctor wound bandage's around his ribs and shoulders, wanting to tear it away from him. it felt to much like he was being bound.. but he would handle it. the moment the doctor backed away Zain stood, slideing his shirt and arm brace's back on before reaching into his pocket. he pulled out a small gold coin and handed it to the doctor, not thinking about it as he rolled his shoulders. that was the usual cost when healer's helped others, that or they accpeted items of equal value. keeping his eyes closed he leaned against the wall, letting Emily and the healer finish what ever they needed to.

Emily considered that perhaps Zain was uncomfortable in the new "garb" given him by the doctor.
When he handed the doctor the gold coin, Emily laughed quietly.
"Zain, why don't you let me take care of this one? You can repay the favor later." She said, and stepped out to the receptionist. She wasn't sure how much the coin was worth. It could have been worth much more, or much less than what the real price was. Either way, it was clear he was not familiar with the current form of payment.
After speaking to and thanking the receptionist, Emily called out for Zain.
"Zain? Let's go now, if you're ready."
