Rusher chuckled, "Don't feel bad about it. I understand, I was once a young stallion like yourself." He nuzzled Johnson and nipped at his shoulder, then darted away.
Johnson laughed more and followed after the gelding, blocking his path and then gently grabbing onto Rusher's nose. "You always act like a young colt when it rains, but I'm getting too old to chase you around." He swung up onto the geldings back.
Rusher trotted over to Kalypso. "Once you get used to the humans you'll see that they aren't all bad. You may even become friends with them. I wasn't captured by the men here, I was rescued by them. When I was only a colt my herd was captured and taken to a place where they work horses to death. Johnson and Colonel raided the place and took us away. For many it was too late and they couldn't be saved. The rest of us could barely stand, but we made it threw because of the men here. Johnson worked with me, he gained my trust and now I'm the only one of that group still alive. But here we were happy." He nuzzled Johnson, "Not all humans are the same, some of them fight for us."

A small smile crossed over Kalypso's face as he watched the gelding and the man. "A few months ago, I wouldn't have believed a word of it...I may be having a change of heart...a slight one, but it's still there.." He said to Rusher. He approached Johnson perched on Rusher's back and shoved his nose towards him, his ears pricked forward.

((Sorry Angel I know we've been posting a lot, but that's what's suppost to happen! No worries though I'll fill you in if you want, I understand that it's a lot to read. 3nodding ))
Rusher chuckled, "Ah see I knew you would come around." He stood calmly with both ear's relaxed. "A little is better than non at all."
Johnson was pleased with Kalypso's progress. "What's this now? The big stallion pushing his nose up here. Couldn't be." The rain was still falling but he paid little attention too it. He pulled a sugar cube out of his pocket, it was a little wet but still good. "Here you go boy." He offered the treat with an open palm.

Kalypso chuckled, the rain made him suddenly happym, even in the presence of the beings he used to hate with a passion. He inhaled the sugar cube off Johnson's hand and chewed it gingerly. "This is amazing...what is this, Rusher?" he asked the gelding, chewing faster, his eyes sparkling as if they had been opened to reality. He looked over at Path and Konoha. "You guys have to try this stuff!" he said. His younger side was resurfacing and he began to act colt-like for the first time in years. He felt stronger and full of life. He snorted and tossed his head, his long forelock covering his eyes. He was fine around Johnson for now.

"That my friend would be a sugar cube. Amazingly sweet and tasty, quite a treat." Rusher watched Kalypso's younger side come out. "If you like those you should try the mints. Not quiet as sweet but just as good. They are my favorite treats."
Johnson laughed, "You like those huh?" He dug in his pocket and offered Kalypso another sugar cube and gently pulled a knot out of the stallion's forelock.

 Kalypso ate the next sugar cube Johnson offered him and quickly chewed and swallowed it. "Sugar is amazing...Mints huh? Hmm..." He said. He began to wonder what a mint tasted like. He jerked his head up when Johnson pulled the knot out and stood still for a few seconds. Then tossed his head, lowering it, then shoved his nose to him again.

"You have a sweet tooth." Johnson shifted on Rusher's back and dug through all his pockets. "Sorry Kalypso all I have left are two mints, no more sugar cubes."
Rusher swung his head back at the word mint and Johnson handed him one. He imeditaly crunched it, closeing his eyes in enjoyment. He nickered happily.
Johnson offered the other mint to Kalypso and place a hand on his muzzle. He didn't force the muzzle anywhere just rested a hand on it. The rain had picked up and if it got any harder Johnson would have to go in. Already the wind was whipping the rain and he was soaked.

Gwen just smiled and leaned against Colonel a bit. She watched Johnson playing with Rusher and Kalypso. "Looks like Johnson's had some progress. About a week ago Kalypso wouldn't come within five feet of anybody."she said with a grin. She always enjoyed seeing a horse bonding with a human. The training of the wild ones was always a battle, but the reward was worth it.
"Yes I felt it."Path murmured softly nuzzling Kohona, happily. He glanced over at Kalypso. "Gwen always has a lot of those treats: sugar, carrots, and mints."he told the other stallion.

Amy was sitting outside in the rain on the fence watchng the mares enjoying it. In the contruy where she used to live she used to sit out in the rain all the time but always got a cold or a fever after. She didn't care. But as it started to rain harder and it got colder, she kissed Sundance a kiss good-bye and gave her a carrot, before she ran into the house. She was soaked with water, her hair driping on the door mat. She took off her muddy boots and hit them together outside to get all the mud and dirt off. When their was little much of dirt and mud left she went back inside and placed them on the door mat.

Kalypso smiled and ate the mint quickly. "Hmm...not bad." He said as he swallowed it. He looked over at Path. "She does? Hmm.." He said, pondering Gwen. He froze again when Johnson placed his hand on his muzzle, and didn't move. His hand was very warm. Kalypso didn't know how to respond.
((Nah, it's just Kalypso tossing his head 3nodding ))

Amy squeezed her hair outside untill their was no more water left and walked into the little kitchen besides the living room. She took a tea pot and opened the tap water letting the water pour into the pot. She then took the pot and placed it on the stove. Amy looked outside the kitchen widow seeing Sundance galloping in the rain bucking and whinnying happily. Amy smiled.

((Ok just wondering. xp ))
"We all made progress today. We are going to have some wonderfull horses once we train these few. Johnson really knows how to work with the horses and he has a patience with them that few do." Colonel smiled, happily supporting Gwen and soaking up her warmth and scent.
Konoha laughed and tossed her head. "It's wonderfull." She was purely happy, which had only happened before when Path asked her to be his lead mare.
Johnson had expected Kalypso to pull away. He took his chance and gently stroaked the black muzzle. He was careful not to reach too far up or too far down, staying within a little spot.

Shadow was standing in the rain his head low not careing much of the others around him, neither the rain, as their was a big boom of thunder and a huge flash of lightning up in the dark sky. He licked his wound again as the blood washed away from the rain. He folded his hooves tucked under him and gently laid down on the mud his ears perecked up in every direction as he looked up at the sky.

"Yeah. I was thinking of riding Path once he is trained until Wildfire can be ridden again. Path is a real sweetheart."Gwen said. She whistled and Kavik came running up. She pulled a bag of sweets out of her pocket 'handing' it to him. "Take these to Johnson and be careful."she told the wolf dog. Kavik did as he was told being careful to stay away from the wild horses coming up on the side opposite Kalypso.
