Deserttail stood in shock at what her fellow Shadowclan warrior was accuseing the Thunderclan cats. "Batfur stop!" She yelled, desperately hopeing that this wouldn't cause a war between the two clans. She jumped onto Batfur's back and tried to pull him off of the Thunderclan warrior. She wouldn't let Thunderclan see her unease though, so she would punish him later. Greystar won't be happy about this... Deserttail thought uneasily.

Icestar had listened to all this accusing until she had finally seen and heard enough. "Stop!" she yowled, knowing no cat would dare challenge her request. Not even ShadowClan. "Deserttail, I suggest you contain your warrior. I give you my word that we have not stolen any of your apprentices." she vowed, glancing at Batfur. "And I am also aware that Bronzepaw was not stolen from us." she shot a look at her deputy. "Bronzepaw was ill and told to stay in camp. You know how apprentices get. They can't sit still with all that energy." she found herself almost purring, but faught against it. "Now please. We need not unnessesary bloodshed, so please explain what's going on Deserttail."

Spicepelt aimed a bite and an unsheathed paw at Batfur before walking away over to Icestar.She glared at Batfur for a second, and thought, Unncessary bloodshed? ShadowClan cats, coming onto our territory, claiming we stole their apprentices, is uneccesary bloodshed? She waited for Deserttail to speak, still ready to attack.

Batfur hissed, but allowed Deserttail to drag him off of Spicepelt.
"Fine." he forced himself to say. "I'll try to solve this peacfully. But the minute I can prove that ThunderClan took our apprentices..." he paused for a moment, brething heavily and bleeding from a small wound on his shoulder. "...you will pay." He stalked off, the adreniline not quite out of his system yet.

Spicepelt lept up, her tail lashing once more. "If Icestar would let me, Batfur, I would slice you into crowfood!" She mewed, "It's going to be so funny when you find your apprentices, cowering in fear of a mouse." She wasn't usually like this, only when she was really angry.

Batfur froze in place and turned around again.
"Not as funny as your apprentice, run away from its own clan because the cats there are so malevolent."

Deserttail looked back and forth between Batfur and Spicepelt. She sighed as she flicked her tail over Batfur's muzzle to be sure he woudn't respond. "I appologize for my clan-mate's behavior. We came to your territory to find two missing apprentices that have wandered past the border. I believe that the case is the same as your missing apprentice." She hoped that what she had said to the leader of another clan wasn't too revealing.

Spicepelt smirked for a brief second. Batfur had finally went quiet. She mewed calmly, "They're probaly still on our territory, then. It's hard for another Clan to navigate through our territory." She began to walk, following the apprentices scent. "Well, come on!"

Batfur snarled and followed Spicepelt.
"They both have light colored pelts so I'd look carefully for them. See, us ShadowClan cats have great eyes, that's how we hunt in the dark. We'd be able to spot them from five fox-lengths away. You ThunderClan cats probably need help in that area."

Spicepelt walked through the forest, and mewed calmly, "Not really. At least ThunderClan cats can hunt through undergrowth. And in day." She searched carefully.

Batfur narrowed his eyes.
We can hunt in day, we just choose not to. And the only reason we can't hunt in undergrowth is because we don't live near any. We perfer the marshes. See, ShadowClan don't need thick undergrowth to hide from all the scary birds and monsters that come out at night. We know how to defend ourselves."

Spicepelt glared at Batfur. "Please. You're just lucky Icestar believes you didn't steal Bronzepaw. We would've attacked you, and you would've ran with your tail between your legs!" She smirked. "And did you even think why your apprentices wandered over our border? Finally fed up with ShadowClan, don't you think? Not that we would accept from ShadowClan, anyway."

Batfur glared at Deserttail when she sighed and continued to feud with Spicepelt.
"No! I think the reason they ran away was becuase they thought they could handle ThunderClan themselves. They're just doing a little hunting you see." He smiled. "No reason to get the whole of ShadowClan involved when two apprentices can fight them by themselves and win."
