Watching her go Axel grinned. Ever the same his sweet wife. Waiting patiently for her to enter the alcove he then made his way after her.
Once she entered the room it took several minutes for enough light to filter in so she could see. In there was a rough mat laying on the floor, obviously where he did his meditations. However if she looked further in she could see the outline of a bed and where he most likely slept.
"Cozy, no?" he said softly from beside her.

Shego walked around and glanced about before moving to sit on the bed. "Not bad at all...but..." She licked her lips and looked up at him. "Axel...don't you think we should...I mean...my lair...your lair...were married and maybe we should..." She looked at him uncertain if she was being foolish to suggest it maybe he liked his privacy. She liked hers well enough but if she could be with her husband more then who cared about privacy.

Watching her as she went to sit on the bed Axel's brain fired off a mental groan. Oh no, here it comes. Listening he heard her words but didn't really believe they had left her mouth.
Tilting his head to the side in confusion the red head thought for a moent before saying "Why the sudden change of heart?"
Might as well get her reasoning before shooting her down.

Shego looked at him uncertainly yes she had made it SOUND as if it was a choice but it wasn't supposed to be! He was supposed to be ecstatic and thrilled that she wanted to spend more time with him. This was the part where he swept her up and into bed and they didn't leave their lair of wickedness for a few days. This was where he told her missed her and didn't want to have to aimlessly search for her, but be able to find her in his home, in their home. She took a deep breath and swallowed back her emotions looking at him and arching a brow.
"You don't want to?" She managed, much to her credit, to keep the slightly hurt tremble from her voice.
Shego felt the pain slide down her throat she didn't cry, she didn't show it instead her fingertips warmed and flames slowly licked at the edges of her gloves.
"It would be much more convenient...for both of us...I don't even known what you've been up to." She glanced at him a moment and muttered softly "and I miss you..."

Pinching his lips together in thought for a moment Axel thought about what she had said. It almost sounded like she was lonely and hurt.
Not really having ever been equipped to handle such emotions he did the only thing he knew how "You wanting a baby or something?"
Divert the subject to one he knew wasn't even plausible.

Shego glared up at him. "A baby? What would we do with a baby when we aren't even in the same home? Besides it would be much more troublesome for ME then YOU...you just donate your part and get to sit back and watch or take off if you dont want to deal with it...I dont get that luxury..."
She took a deep breath and tried to lower her tone she didn't want to fight, there were better uses for a bedroom, babymaking not being one of them. They could make something else though their fire combined she missed it, missed him.
"I just...I would like to be...with you more..." her fists clentched the bedcovers smoldering the fabric with her pent of heat and emotion.

"So what you're trying to tell me is that you miss me and want to live with me cause you think we'll see each other more?" he said in one long quick breath.
The idea was foreign to him. They had lived apart for so long it was strange to think he'd now have to share every space of his hide away with her.
It wasn't so much that he hated the idea of being close to her it was more he liked his privacy.

Shego nodded and looked at him trying to read his expression.
"Isn't it only natural...we should be together?" She frowned and stood suddenly feeling uncertain.
Didn't he miss her as much as she missed him? Weren't they supposed to share a lair and plot together and rule the world side by side? Well..maybe not exactly side by side she didnt mind having to step down a little play the sidekick, she loved him too much to care. Slowly she tried to pull her emotions back in and focus on what he was thinking about.

"It's just that you've put alot of effort into your lair and I have done alot with mine. It doesn't feel right to get rid of one. I'm not sure I want to give up my lair either. I love you babe but......." Axel's words trailed off as he tried to figure out a nice way to say he wouldn't leave his lair.
It suited him fine here. If she wanted to come here he would at least consider it.

Shego's eyes narrowed and she felt her temperature climb slowly her fingertips seemed to tingle for a moment as she waited.
"But what? I'm not asking you to leave this...I just..want to join you..." She looked at her wishing she could trade in her firepower to be able to read minds.

"Well then the rest of the chat would be moot, love. Though I think that your wanting to give up your lair is a might bit silly, you can move in at any point. Just be aware there are rules to living here." Axel replied in that matter of fact way he sometimes had. Seraph had told him that it made him seem cold but he simply liked to view it as a precautious part of his nature.

Shego eyed him curiously and flipped her hair back.
"Don't sound so thrilled...I promise not to burn the place down."
With that she streached out on the bed and tried to relax, deep down Axel would be happy to have her around. She suddenly sat up and frowned.
"Rules? Like what?" Shego didn't like rules one bit like Selona's rule about not killing anyone, she couldn't help it if they annoyed her to the point of wanting to off them.

Walking over Axel plunked down on the bed beside her. "You know, things like no nagging, my business is mine and not yours. Those things basically nothing new from before." he said leaning back on his hands while looking over at her.

"I thought your affairs were mine as much as mine are yours..."
She smirked softly and stroked his cheek. "I believe it's my wifely duty to nag you...or is that my duty as your minion?" She laughed.

Smirking Axel responded by running his finger down Shego's nose and stopping softly on her upper lip. "Nah. I think I'll keep you as my queen. However there are somethings I am sure you don't tell me so I just want the same respect back. That's it."
