I'm scared, it hurts...
AIM RP: Fear of Pain Despite their incessant warnings, Minori had stubbornly insisted that she was going to ballet, whether they liked it or not. Before they could even suggest locking her in her room, she had packed her bag and dashed out of the door, leaving the servants open-mouthed. The bodyguards started forward to follow the girl, but Berin stopped them. The butler knew enough about the young mistress, especially that she was stubborn. Maybe...maybe only her friends could talk her round. With a sigh, he picked up the phone, and called the Takara mansion, telling Mitsuko about her friend.
Mitsuko flopped onto the couch, her head hanging over the side. She blinked with interest at this upside-down view of the world. "Hm. I never knew that lamp would look so funny upside down..." "Mitsuko-san!" A maid called, hurrying down the stairs. She paused to stare at Mitsuko oddly, before holding out the phone. "There's someone on the phone for you. From Minori-san's mansion, I believe." "Minori-chan's?" The girl sat up quickly, perking up and reaching for the phone. "Hello?"
''Miss Mitsuko Takara. Minori-san is in trouble." Quickly, he filled her in on the details, all the while watching another maid who was trying desperately to reach the girl on her cellphone, to no avail.
Mitsuko paled, standing up quickly. "Trouble!? What do you mean?" She listened intently, chewing on her bottom lip. "Oh, Minori-chan..." The girl wailed, running to grab her coat, "Do you know where she might be right now then? I'll go look for her, and try to convince her to go back."
"She might be heading for the ballet centre." He said, then paused. "Do hurry, Mitsuko-san. Minori is horribly afraid of pain. She always has been."
"Yes, I'll go there right away. Thank you for calling me." Without waiting for a response, she dropped the phone into the hand of the maid, hurrying out of the door while struggling to put on her coat. She nearly dived into the limo, figuring it would be faster to drive than to run. And safer. "Go to the ballet centre please - Quickly!" She added the last part quickly, interrupting the driver's polite, 'Yes Takara-san.' She stared out of the window as they sped along, chewing on her bottom lip. 'Minori-chan, why would you dance if your ankle is sprained? And...' She paused, the butler's words finally hitting her. 'A fear of pain?' As they pulled up in front of the centre, she leapt out, hurrying towards the door and pulling it open. At the same time, she was thinking about the first day of school, when Minori had seemed to be faint. "Fear of pain, hm...?"
The girl in question was limping along the way, and wishing that she should have taken a limo...but then again, the chauffeur would probably drive her back home. I'm not letting my fear get the better of me again. She thought furiously, forcing herself forward, eyes stinging with unshed tears.
Mitsuko frowned as she glanced around, searching for any sign of her friend. "Minori-chan?" She called, ignoring any stares that she was given. "Minori-chan? Are you here?" She wandered around the building, poking her head into random rooms and growing increasingly worried.
"Minori isn't here." A girl piped up while stretching, looking at the other with a curious stare. "She'd better be quick though, Madame hates latecomers."
"Oh...when does this usually start?" She asked, glancing at her cellphone for the time. Hopefully this girl was right, and Minori would hurry over before class started. She froze suddenly. Minori wasn't here yet? But it wouldn't take that long to drive here...unless, of course, she didn't get driven here, but was walking here. "Oh...oh no." She murmured under her breath, dashing out of the centre (and almost tripping). "Minori-chan?" Mitsuko called as she walked
"Really soon." The girl replied, looking to the door warily, in case Madame had came. "She knows she'll get into trouble." "Tsuko-chan? What are you doing here?" Hearing her name called, the brunette stopped, and replaced her expression of pain with that of a smile. It still wasn't easy to bear with the pain and her chest heaved in gasps, although she tried to slow them by distracting herself with peaceful thoughts.
"Minori-chan!" She hurried forward, grasping her elbow lightly. "What do you think you're doing out here? With a sprained ankle, no less?" She furrowed her brows in concern, "Minori-chan, a sprained ankle won't get any better unless you rest it." Mitsuko pointed out, "It'll just hurt more if you try to dance on it."
"I'm fine now." Minori grinned cheerfully. "And Madame will kill me if I miss any more practices. I just...can't miss ballet."
Mitsuko frowned, giving a little shake of her head. “You have a reason to miss practice - there's no way your teacher can make you dance on that ankle." She pointed at Minori's foot, "There's no reason you should have to dance on that."
"I'm fine now. Doesn't hurt so much." She assured the other girl with a pat on her arm and started forward. "I'm going to be late."
Mitsuko shook her head stubbornly, looking serious. "Minori-chan, I can't let you go on that ankle. It's only going to get worse, and hurt more!"
"It's not. I can stand it." The girl pouted. "Ballet is like...my life."
"Minori-chan..." She tread carefully, "It'll only cause you a lot more pain if you do this..."
"It's just some pain. No big." She bit her lip, trying not to imagine what would happen...if there was a lot more pain. Overreacting much? She asked herself, forcing the thought out of her head.
The frown remained on her face as she held out her hand. "At least let me help you there," She offered, wondering if Minori's teacher would agree with her, or if she was really as strict as Minori and the other girl said.
"I'll be fine by myself." She smiled. "Thank you though." She appreciated the thought, but Minori had told herself that she had to be independent. She didn't need to depend on others. Taking a few steps forward, she felt herself breathing heavily as the pain coursed through her leg. The girl bent down, hugged her legs, hyperventilating.

It seems that Minori's Secret Valentine has dropped a puppy at her door, without a note. How mysterious.
