There wasn't anything in the world like snuggling up to the warm body of a big stallion. She didn't think she'd want there to be either since it wouldn't be as nice if she could get it somewhere else. Taking a deep breath she nuzzled him and chuckled softly.
"Don't think anyone would want to have to untangle that. They'd have to contend with getting you out of it without ruining your wonderful locks." She nibbled on a piece of his hair before grinning at him.
"I do so like it when you do. You're rather good at the application of your teeth."

"And two tousled Soquili are much less attractive than two that AREN'T tangled, as I see it...and I know you do. You're a most vocal and responsive mare, after all." Leaving THAT heavily weighted statement hanging out there, Guilian flopped back the rest of the way onto the ground, sighing gustily in a contented fashion and allowing Nanala the chance to snuggle closer, if she so wanted.
"You aren't that bad yourself, if I may say so..." And even if he couldn't, it was the truth, as SHE ought to know. "I really owe your brother a thank you, Chica; had he not migrated over here, I might never have gotten to meet you, enjoy your conversation, and get to know you as a stallion should know a mare."
And THAT would be a sorrowful thing, he had to reflect. Everything was for a purpose, every meeting for a reason. She was a delight in many ways, and he didn't doubt that things would be different for him, had he not met her. For starters...he probably wouldn't be lying on the bank of a river, lazily cuddling with a gorgeous mare and basking in a most pleasant afterglow. Or at least not THIS one, and this one he knew he liked.

"Too true. I would hate to be caught all tousled in a tangled way. Wouldn't do at all." being tousled in a pleasant way was fine. After all she'd heard that mares tended to glow when they were pleased but she'd never be caught not at least half of her best.
She had to nudge him at the comment about her responses. "Don't go telling anyone that. I'd have to come hunt you down and make sure you couldn't talk anymore." She couldn't let word that she'd gone soft get out. She'd never hear the end of it from her brother if he found out.
"Don't go thanking him. He'll come asking me questions." She grinned as she snuggled closer and rested against him. "Though i am glad that he wandered over here. Life just wouldn't be as interesting if i didn't have you around to have fun with" She laughed after a moment. "Oh lord ... i'm getting sentimental. Look what you've done to me"

As though he ever kissed and told. Leaning over, Guilian gave Nanala a bemused look, patting her cheek in an 'aren't you cute' way. "Your responses are for me alone, Nanala, and for those fortunate others you choose to show them to. My lips are sealed."
Though he was grinning as he looked away, the amusement evident in his whole countenance. As though he'd ever go out and purposely strike up conversations with families! For some unfathomable reason, families tended to have little understanding for the needs and wants of their female relations, something Guilian had never understood.
"Aww, you flatter me, Chica; I'm sure that there are other stallions that could provide just as much amusement as I, albeit with less flair." If he did say so himself. "You are an adaptable mare, after all; there had to be SOMETHING of interest back where you used to be...though I'll admit things would be less interesting..." If he did say so himself.

"They best be." She nudged his head with hers and laughed softly. She'd rather keep the scope of people who were privy to that information as small as she could. Less chance of someone wanting something more out of it than fun.
"I'm sure there are. I've just yet to find any of them. They've got a lot to live up to and it's just nicer to hunt you down when i'm bored." She already knew she could have fun with him so why take time to hunt for other things. She probably would have to eventually. He'd want time with his new children so she'd have to amuse herself with other pursuits.
"The only thing of interest back where i came from was baiting the idiot boys." She shook her head slightly. "They always failed to be able to play the game."

"So you're saying I'm easy, is that it? Well, I suppose if you don't want complication, it makes sense to go with what you know. Just think, by seeking out each other when we're in the mood, we're cutting out all the time wasted by posturing and wooing that inevitably accompanies making a new acquaintance." Ah, the joys of lecturing on the truth; it was something Guilian was often in the habit of doing, though he prefered discussing said truths in the company of likeminded individuals; something he knew Nanala to be.
Consequently, he could lecture from a position of comfort, snuggling by Nanala and playing with her short mane. "You know, you've never really told me much about these idiot boys of yours beyond that they lacked finesse, Chica. Why don't you fill me in a bit on the details; it sounds like a delightful story." If he did say so himself!

"Far easier." She grinned at him before leaning on his shoulder. "Though it does take time to hunt you down since you're far more mobile than the average prey." She really would have to make more friends but this was good for the time being. Settling herself down in the area and only a couple others to keep track of meant it was easier. Small steps instead of diving head first into who knows what. She could pretend to be a cautious girl.
"There's not much to tell." She scrunched her nose slightly. "Back home the head stallions generally told you who you were allowed to be with. The pretty girls got paired with the strong good looking boys and that was about it. Up until that point though everyone would try to get the attention of the 'sought after' girls just to see if they could improve their chances."
Normally she wouldn't have been sought after but her father was leader of her herd. "So i had a bunch of idiots wanting my attention so they could get into better graces with my father."

Chuckling at the candid breakdown of himself and his habits, Guilian was once again reminded of the amazing pleasure that was his through the lack of normal routine...though in his own way, he DID have a routine, especially if one knew his personal haunts. The rose patches, for example, where he picked his flowers, and WHEN he picked those flowers were one such example. Still, he liked the idea that he was adrift, going hither and yon on the strength of his own whims.
Which, from the sound of it, was pretty opposite what Nanala's old life had been like. "Sounds like an utter bore, Chica. Did you at least get any 'fun' out of the attention?" He didn't elaborate, but he was pretty sure she knew what he meant. "Or was your father one of the possessive types?"

"Alas i was only have to have a little fun. Daddy dearest probably would have disowned me if he knew about it." She grinned and tossed her head slightly, careful not to hit him. "He wanted his precious little girl to only go to the best. Which i was having none of."
The 'best' had been a complete pig of a stallion. "He thought i'd calm down after Nuka left. Old guy never saw it coming."
He was probably still fuming that she and Nuka had gotten away but that only made it sweeter. "I figure i can have far more fun here with the wider variety of things to choose from"

Somehow, Guilian wasn't surprised. Even from the brief description Nanala had provided, her home herd life sounded like a total drag, one of those cases where 'one mare, one stallion, forever' was the normal. No wonder she and her brother had run away, if he was them he would have run away, too. With as many of the mares as he could.
Chuckling at both his own thoughts and Nanala's words, Guilian lifted himself up slightly so that he could actually see Nanala's eyes. "A sure sign of spirit, Chica, and spirit and a mare go together better than anything else in the world...save possibly that mare and a stallion." Grinning, he gave her a nuzzle to the neck, deciding that this little excursion had proved to be more than worthwhile.
As he did so, though, he noticed with some surprise the position of the sun in the sky; dusk had arrived without him even being aware of it, he'd been enjoying himself so. "Well well...time flies when you're having fun, no?"

"A mare and a stallion each with spirit would go best i think." She grinned and nipped at his mane gently. "Seems like the best combination if i do say so myself."
There would undoubtedly be more stallions out there with spirit that she could cross paths with. Even if Guilian did stay her favorite it wasn't as if she couldn't find other, flavors, to savor.
Looking up at the sky she straightened herself up and got to her feet. "My my ... time does fly." Laughing softly she nudged him "I suppose that's a hint that i should leave you to your nightly pursuits then?"

"But of course, Chica; that goes without saying." Returning the n** with one of his own, Guilian then simply lay back and watched with his usual appreciation as Nanala rose and stertched out and otherwise ordered herself, answering her nudge and comment with a laugh.
"Actually, tonight my nightly pursuits are sleep, Chica; tomorrow morning I'm off to check up on Luca-Chica and see how she's doing. Originally I was going to sleep today and head back tonight, but I managed to somehow get distracted..." Not that he was complaining, as his grin told. "But Luca expects me tomorrow, and I mustn't disapoint, don't you agree?"
Smiling, he rose to his feet at that, sweeping Nanala a bow. "Hopefully you yourself enjoy the night, though, and safe journeys to wherever you're heading. I myself will be remining right here."

She shook herself out to straighten her mane and tail before she eyed what of her hide she could see. Everything seemed to be in order well enough.
"Ahh yes, fatherly duties and all." She grinned at him "I seem to like being a distraction but i suppose i'll be a good girl for once and make sure that you're aren't so distracted as to miss something you've promised to do." Promises were important to keep and if Guilian had said he'd check up on Luca then he needed to. Besides, the thought of Guilian being fatherly was rather cute.
"I'm sure i'll find some way to enjoy myself. I remember seeing a blueberry patch not far from here that i'd just love to nibble on."
She winked at him before turning to leave. There was a blueberry patch out there somewhere with her name on it.
