That's messed up.
I've only had two boyfriends, both of whom were only a year older than me.
I think the one/two year difference works best.

Four years is ridiculous. That's like dating my brother. -shudder-

Sounds like a classic Romeo and Juliet. Yea, it is kinda weird to think about such a huge age difference, but if they're happy with it, what'cha gonna do 'bout it?

Uh, first of all, eleven- too young to date.
Second of all, the biggest age difference I'll go with is five years (my parents are five years apart). Well, it really depends...If it's actual SOUL MATE love, I'll tolerate larger age differences, although I'm still touchy about it...But if it's like, basic lust or a fling, I'll be all, '...no'.

My brother is 18.

His girlfriend is 15.

They've been together for a couple years. I think like 4..

The 11 year old's heart was turning to ashes, hmm?

It's okay, if you're mature enough to handle it. It's not too big of a deal.

I was with someone 4 years older than me at one point. It's weird but it's okay. Of course, the circumstances were different from a normal relationship because it was online...

I have a tendancy to scare people away, so I've never actually had a relationship with anyone (apparently, black-belt girls are scary....D: ). ^^;; I don't want to have a serious relationship before college. Once everyone goes off to college, you'll all be forced to part ways with each other. They can try to have a long distance relationship, but will any one person really stay dedicated to someone so far away when there might be someone better right next to you? Even if you stay loyal to the other person, who's to say that your partner isn't cheating on you? Either way, it hurts. If you both stay loyal to each other, it'll hurt because you can't be together. If one person has a relationship with someone else, it'll break the other person's heart. In any relationship, you open your heart to your partner and welcome them into your life. When the other person walks out of your life, they take a little bit of your heart with them. You can't completely erase all traces of emotion for the other person...;__;

I guess, once you're out of college and live your own life, the all slight age difference shouldn't make a difference. A more significant age difference probably wouldn't work out. Some women like older men because the men can take care of them. But what happens when the men get old? The roles are reversed and the women wind up having to take care of the men. Or they can be heartless and find another man to cling to... stare

....lol, I lost my train of though as I was typing. xd ;;;
I dun even remember what the topic was about...?

ELEVEN?! Dude, that's way too young. And the guy was 15... That's absolutely disgusting. That's way too much of an age/maturity gap right here.

As you get older the "maturity gap", as I shall call it, becomes smaller. A 2 year old and a 7 year old are at completely different stages in life, while a 30 and 35 year old are a lot more compatible, despite the same difference of 5 years between ages.

As an 18 year old that was previously interested in dating a 22 year old, I know what I'm talking about. Not that bad in this situation, right? Well, I was proven wrong. (Not to mention we're both mentally and emotionally messed up, but that's for a different discussion... >.>) I'm glad things didn't work out now. Stupid smart a** boys from nearby catholic school... Rawr.

She lay down on the grass,
Looking up at the sky,
thinking, it’s all she can do.
If she disappeared she would not be missed.
She will be gone just like everyone else.

Getting up from the grass,
she walks on the sand,
looking outward towards the sea.
She walks into the water high up above her knees.

I think that your friend's friend's situation is normal. That what happens with breakups. Perhaps she wasn't ready to date at her age, but I don't really believe that age matters in a relationship. Although I do feel like anyone pre-teen and under don't understand the meaning of love, due to the face that they have not finished maturing yet [as in mentally developed]. There are several teenagers who are not mentally developed enough for love. Because the 11 year old friend was heartbroken because she "loved him", that's how you know she has not matured enough.

I really dislike it when people go into a relationship thinking they love the person. No. You're attracted to the person, and you need time to grow to love the person. Love doesn't just come to you when you meet a person.

I have only been in one relationship and it's almost our two year anniversary. He went into the relationship telling me he loves me and all that stuff, but I told him that I don't love him and I don't want him to love me until he knows me. I don't want him to love me because I am his girlfriend. I want him to love me because he truly feels that way. And I love him because I truly feel that way. If anyone is wondering, I am 18 years old, and so is he. We are going off to college and we're trying to make it work. I'll only be a one and a half hour drive from my home, and he's going to a college at home. It's not so long distance and we trust each other to be loyal. We'll see each other almost every weekend. I'll be visiting home every other weekend and we plan to have him come visit me every weekend I don't come home [And sometimes I won't come home to my parents and spend the weekend at his place, or so we hope to do sometime].

The only relationship age difference I'm worried about is 85 dating 30. If there is actual love, then I have no problem, but if it's a young mistress dating the man until he dies, then I'm against it. Oh yeah and then there are the legal issues of under 16 over 18 relationships... I'm kind of against it, but I have a friend who recently turned 18 and he was dating a freshman, 15. The two of them started having sex after the first month. Now at first I thought she was a slut, and I was totally against their relationship, but once I got to know her I knew that she is a mature person and she knows what she is doing. She didn't lose her virginity to him, she had sex in 7th grade, which I am against. I am totally against sex in high school, but she is fairly mentally mature. In 8th grade apparently she had sex with a 21 year old... But whatever... It depends on the person.

The waves softly hit her legs.
She looks at the sunset and its yellow-red hues
she walks into the sea, farther and farther,
opening her arms towards the wave.
The water is high up to her hips.
The wave comes towards her.
She looks at the wave with her arms stretched out;
the water starts to rage, the wave hits her body hard.
Then the water calms down. The water recedes,
then darkness falls, and all goes dark.
The sun goes down and the day is done.

Alright well first of all i have never had a relationship because i am still young but you know what i am fine with that, some girls complain about wanting a boyfriend but that is only for that sake of saying they have one. I think 11 is too young to date she says she loved him but how can she know that at such a young age i didnt have any crushes that i was at least 12 maybe 13, they are just too young there is no place for the relationship to go and it only will only end up with someone getting hurt. The fact that he was 15 like its been said before its not the age gap but really its just the ages when you get older 5 or 6 years isnt that big of a deal you are both mature adults who have experienced life an 11 year old dating a 15 year old because of their ages sounds a bit strange and is frowned upon by society. If you love someone they it wont matter how old they are (although like said by Narcissistic Literature if its and 85 and a 30 year old i am not too sure but it depends on the people every case is different as all people are different).

As far as I go i have only gotten to know a guy and considered being in a relationship with him who was 2 years older than me, although it was online and he said he wanted nothing personal (online only basically) so it was more like a large crush, oh and just in case anyone is wondering i am 15 and he is 17 (and like i said before with 11 i still think i personally am too young for a serious relationship)

well those are my thoughts on the issue
