Kirus nodded "I thank you" he smiled a little fakely. Kirus had never been one to take hospitality lightly, he was a lone wolf by nature, and
by accepting such gifts, he then had debts to repay, and he didnt like to be endebted to anyone.

Non the less, he shifted his weight to try and get comfortable once, more, thanking God that at least he was drying off a little now, although
his hair had become a matted mess of curls in the humidity. He sighed and tried to smooth it backwards once more, meeting the eyes of the
forign man of whose house he was gracing, perhaps that made him the forign man.

"do you get many visitors on this Island?" he asked wanting to break the silence that was stretching between them like thin ice.

He opened his eyes again, shaking his head slowly. "Its a rare thing. Though the change of gouvernment is making the country more open. So if you look at the past, then yes, we do get many more visitors." He suddenly wondered if Byoux, as a geisha, needed to pleasure these strangers also. He shook his head slowly, his was disgusted with the idea already.

Kirus took in the other's demanour, the way in which he held himself, so proud and upstanding, watched as shadows of annoyance and disgust passed over the stranger's face like storm clouds. Perhaps they were, Kirus only oped that they didnt break whilst he was around, that he would not be soaked in the rain once again.

"Our presence is not appreciated here then? Although I never assumed that my own would be. It does not concern me."
he brushed off, wanting to seem unintrested, he changed the subject

"I sense you have some distain for the new government"

Seti looked at the man, his gazed cold. "I lost friends to that gouvernment, without reason..." He then went silent and looked at the rainsoaked window. "I have nothing against you being here. I have something against people who hurt my friends and family." He needed to tell no more, it was as clear as anything that he had lost more than just a friend.

The atmosphere in the small room changed as soon as Seti opened his mouth, and Kirus' mouth closed softly, his lips meeting in a silent line, his eyes fell a little, tracing the perfect lines of the low table. He knew what it felt like to loose those close to you. Although that was a long time ago. Perhaps it was part of his hostility. He didnt like to phycoanylse himself, that was a scary place to be.

"I'm very sorry"

he said lowly, genuinly. He didnt really know what to do in these situations, especially with strangers. Identifying meant he would expose himself, and comforting meant he would have to open up. He did not to either of those things, not anymore.

"Listen"

He started, attemping to change the subject

"I dont know anything about your government, perhaps that makes me ignorant, but I'm sure it doesnt make me evil." though he doubted Seti found his chosen occupation to be gods good will.

He just nodded slowly. "You are still in the wrong business though. But i guess thats just the way you;ve been thought to." He was slowly getting back on his anger, but he wasn't less on guard, the wrong move from this man would mean him jumping up and killing him without a second doubt. He just tried to be more of a listening ear, instead of fuelling his anger towards the man for what happened in the past.

Kirus nodded a little, he realised that he was getting on the wrong side of his host, and perhaps it was better for him if he just dropped the conversation alltogether, least he say something he would be made to regret.
Instead he hung his head a little keeping his eyes downcast, letting them both reflect on the moment a little. He could feel the last wisps of dampness ebbing away from his clothing and and hair, the warmth of the room at last permenting his more extreme regions in something that could be akin to comfort. He let a small smile grace his face at that, one which turned a little bitter noting that in just a short time he would be forced to step out into the rain once more. At least it wasnt something entirely new to him, he was accustomed to British weather after all.

((i'm gonna play Byoux with this account also..don't really have time to keep 2 accounts up atm))

Seti just waited for Byoux to arrive again. He had his eyes closed and was trying to relax if it was only for a small bit.
Byoux entered the room again with a place full of food, mostly it was sushi and pieces of a lobster. She slipped down to her knees before placing the plate on the table.
She lay chopsticks down infront of the english man before handing some to Seti. "Enjoy the food." She said softly as she also gave Kirus a bowl.
Seti started with giving Byoux a piece of lobser, he then looked at Kirus. "Want to start with a piece of lobster?"

((okay :3))

Kirus did his best to look comfortable with the whole situation, his back straight his eyebrows arched classily across his well tempered expression, but the truth was, this was all alien to him. Completely. He was sat on the floor of a room whose decor was frankly a little offputting, trying to each fish he had never heard of with sticks. It was almost primative.

He let his eyes rest on the other two in the room, and tried to mimic their motion placing the chopsticks between his thumb and fingers, but failing to grasp the needed scissoring motion that the skill required.

"how strange this place is" he muttered to himself, not realising he was speaking aloud at all.
He had always liked seeing new places and traditions, but then, he also enjoyed corrupting those, making them his own, proving that he was better than others. He wasnt sure how to do that here, they probably wouldnt recognise a knife and fork as anything other than a weaponry threat.

The woman saw the english man stuntle with the chopsticks. She felt that she needed to help this man though he was a stranger with whole different looks on this world. She looked at Seti as to ask for his permission.
When he nodded Byoux stood up and sat down next to the englishman. "Allow me to help you with that." She reached for his right hand and the chop sticks. She formed her own hand over his, pushing on his finger softly so that he could easily hold the sticks in the right position. "Now take a piece of the meat and put light pressure on the sticks, it will be enough to hold them in place." She smiled and stayed on her place for if he needed some more help at it.

((sorry its been so long))

The touch of her hand on his own was enough to make him wince, it was unusual that he was not wearing his gloves, the heat and rain here did not permit for such garments, still the feeling was unnerving.
Kirus did not like to be touched. Nor did he like to look ignorant. He kept his calm however, he had promised himself that he would not judge the customs here, at least until he found another set of guides, if there were any, and so he would be polite, and try desperatly to grasp at peices of sticky food with two sticks. It all seemed highly primative, but then, he found as he got into the rhythm that it was much like using a paint brush, and that was something he could wholly relate to.
"thank-you my dear" he expressed through tight lips. "tell me, what is your relationship with my most gracious host, if you dont mind me asking"

Byoux smiled at the man as she sat back down at where she had been sitting before. She looked at the man as he asked the question. "Well sir, he is my son." She nodded and took a small bite from the rice in her bowl.

"really?" he asked smoothly, his brow raising a mote in half real, half mock suprise. He was nothing if not the English Gentleman "but you dont look half so old as you should be for such a son- I romanticised that you were lovers"
His tone was too sticky sweet to be sincire, but then, it was the voice he usually used to charm the fops and belles back home. Wasnt sure if it would work here.
The grin spread across his face like honey, and a strand of hair fell forwards across the expanse of his shoulders as he ducked to carefully put some rice into his mouth. He was glad he was deft at such things, not much different to painting. The taste of rice was strange he found, starchy, but not wholly unpleasent.

Byoux laughed softly. "I was young. It was more of lust than anything else. Didn't had time to love his father, which died in battle even before he was born." She just nodded slowly and smiled. She had never grieved, and she never would start.
Seti just silently ate. His eyes where closed as the gray strands of hair where falling into his face. He kept silent, while listening to the conversation and to what was happening outside.

"I'm sorry" Kirus replied, his hand coming to his chest, his head bowing a little in apology, his hair falling foward in a tangle of damp frizz as he did so. The hand from his chest brushed it back before he dipped his head to take another bite of rice. He wondered seriously if he could spend the rest of his weeks here eating with sticks. Funny but an Englishman never thinks to carry a fork with him when away from home.
He raised his gaze to Seti, the young man had been so quiet, and Kirus knew there was much hostility to break between them, he wasnt even sure he wanted to, but the boy spoke English, and that was good enough for now.

"And tell me young man" though there could not have been many years between them
"do you have a lover of your own then?"

a strange, and not altogether quality question, but it was conversation of a vein all the same.
