Oh, manga!

I just read this adorable manga called Demon Diary....

Its funny, there is a bit of boy-boy love (don't know if that's shojo-ai or not, >.<; I'm a bit forgetful on anime terms ...bleh)

Shounen-ai. Shoujo-ai is between girls. Shounen-ai is also called yaoi but as far as I know, yaoi is more... sexually explicit.

Anyhow, an absolute favourite of mine among modern authors is Raymond E. Feist. His books are simply wonderful. The basic theme is Good vs. Evil, a theme that has become rather boring, but you can expect little else from classic fantasy. Even so, the good guys aren't necessarily good, and the bad guys are very good at hiding so the good guys can sometimes sit there and talk pleasantly to them without knowing - just to mention some of the things that sets the books apart from your typical Good vs. Evil story.

Erin Hunter - the Author of the Warriors series.
awesomeness is written all over it.

Kate Demillo ( i think) - The tale of Despereax ( such a cute little mouse story)

The best author....thats alive:
Tamora Pierce.
If you have never read a TP book I will gasp at you continuously(or however you spell it)untill you read one.

I completely agree with her.
Tamora Pierce is the best teen fantasy author to date.

I agree with this girl, as well.

Although complicated to noobs, the Warriors series does have 'awesomeness' written all over it. I've read all of the Warriors books. If you think you know one that I haven't read, feel free to challenge me, but it's not fair if you challenge me with a Warriors book that's not out yet. xd

I really like Christopher Paolini and Kathryn Lasky ^O^ Their writings are amazing! whee

Christopher Paolini is, like, the RULER of fantasy. Well, I think so anyway. The Inheritance Cycle is the BEST!

Hmm... other than that Skulduggery Pleasant, Derek Landy, rocks, and, like a lot of obsessed people, I am OBSESSED with Harry Potter.

So you like HP that much, eh? Then let me ask you this: what would you say if the computer brand known as HP started to release Harry Potter themed computers with special promotions about the books and/or movies? I'm surprised they haven't done that so far, don't you agree?

Anywho...
Guess what everyone? I just started reading the work by Homer called "The Odyssey" but I haven't read that much yet. I'll come back once I read more of it. 3nodding

So you can't recall, eh? Then perhaps you didn't read it well enough, he-he.

Anywho, as far as I've gone in the book, it's about this guy who is like an action hero and his name is Ulysses. It starts with his son being tired of the guys who want to marry his mom cuz everyone thinks (almost everyone anyway) that Ulysses is dead so, might as well go after the grieving widow, right? I've read how Ulysses is allowed to leave the island of Calipso and how he makes it to a certain land where he meets a kind Queen and King who are interested about his adventures. He then tells them of everything that happened to him after leaving Troy. As you may or may not know, The previous book details what happens to the siege of Troy and even the famous Trojan Horse but I missed that one.

One of the coolest parts is the one where a cyclops (who happens to be the son of Poseidon) eats a few of Ulysses friends and then the rest of them help Ulysses in driving a huge stake in the Cyclops' eye. It's quite a funny chapter, he-he.
