Anna sighed as she looked at the monkey and put it down. She looked the cage and made it float up. She then sat down so she could look right into the eyes of the monkey. "This won't be fun. For you or for me." She said. She then got up and walked. She didn't know where she was going but that didn't matter that much.
The cage floated right behind Anna and she made sure that it wouldn't bump up and down too much. She earned a few more stares then normal but she really didn't care. She was too busy thinking. What wa she going to do with a monkey? How was she going to keep it silent? How the heck would that guy make this up to her?
Anna found herself wondering into the student lounge. It wasn't that busy and Anna sat down on one of the seats and let the monkey sit next to her. She looked in her bag and took out a book. She turned to the money and stated. "I'm going to read. I would like it if you stayed silent." She wasn't sure if the monkey even understood her but it made her feel better to say something.

Jeremy was still manipulating his shadow and had yet to say anything to anyone. He had noticed a few people, and his eyes wandered to watch a girl and a monkey. It was a bit of a strange sight, but he somehow knew he would see stranger things. After all, this school was for those that were gifted.
Hearing the girl speak to the monkey, Jeremy watched the chimp seem to respond by speaking.It was a strange sight, but maybe the chimp was smarter then average monkies. Even if the thing could speak it didn't really seem to say much other then it's name and express how it wanted food.
He flicked his wrist once more and the shadow skirted across the floor, moving upward along the couch with the girl and the monkey. It simply darted across the cage and beneath the monkey then up the back of the couch and along the top. Flicking his wrist to the side the shadow moved right and down the arm of the couch to settle on the floor and return to his feet.
It was really more of a nervous habit, playing with his shadow. He was in a new place, with new people, and he didn't know one of them. He needed to make a friend sooner or later, so why not start with this girl? Though, speaking would mean interrupting her reading. The monkey had already done that, so why not take a chance?
Jeremy cleared his throat and sit up, repositioning himself to feel a little more comfortable. His eyes looked from the monkey, down to his shadow, then back to the girl across from him. He waited a moment as he thought of what to say then finally inhaled, hoping he wouldn't say something stupid.
"It doesn't seem to interested in listening to you....from it's reaction I'm going to guess it's not yours. How'd you end up babysitting it anyhow?

Anna looked the monkey, a bit annoyed. “Do you want a banana? That’s too bad you little…” she started to mutter. She stopped herself and sighed. “Fine. Here you go.” She looked at the air next to the cage and a small portal opened up. A strange fruit came out and rolled near the monky’s cage. “It’s a banana.” She said at the monkey. I think She thought to herself.
Anna saw the shadow flicking around her and knew it wasn’t her own. She looked at it and followed it with her eyes. It lead her right to a boy. She head his gaze for a moment but turned her eyes back to the cage and her book. She looked at the money and it’s fruit. “No you have the banana so let me read!” Anna said sternly at it. It was different then the green monster she had seen before so it wouldn’t respond it the same way of course, but she didn’t really care.
Anna decided to practice a bit. She looked at her book. It rose slowly in the air. It floated above the monkey’s cage and tossed itself in the air and caught itself. Without tearing her eyes from the book, a charm lifted itself from her bag. She tossed them both about, but slowly. She wasn’t the best at telepathic practice. She then let the cross each other and nodded as she watched them. After a while she started to get a headache.
Suddenly she heard a cough. She looked up and lost concentration. The items fell to the floor and Anna frowned. She quickly nodded at them and they floated over to her one at a time. She looked up at the person who had cause the cough. It was the boy, the shadow boy.
She started him as he talk and then smiled a bit. “No, it’s not mine. I haven’t had pet’s in years.” She then sighed as she smiled, thinking back to the scene. “I was being nice. Someone was going out so somehow I got stuck with a monkey. Wonderful isn’t it?”

Karu walked up to his new school. Grim (his cat) Sat on his head. "Lazy cat!" He said then smiled. He walked up to his dorm room and saw that now one had placed there stuff in there.

Jeremy was a bit surprised to see the items floating about. Another with talents, but the fact didn't surprise him. Seeing the fruit fall from a strange thing in the air however, that vexxed the boy. She had mutiple talents, he only had one.
He noticed the items fall during his cough, he couldn't help but feel guilty about it. It was obviously his fault the items had dropped. Probably a lack of concentration or a break in it. Somehow Jeremy knew it was it fault. He shifted again, the shadow beginning to swirl about his feet once more.
When the girl responded to his question he nodded when she finished speaking. Just being nice, well, at least she was making friends. She was the first he had spoken to since arriving. His eyes glanced to the monkey, and then to the girl once more.
"You don't seem too impressed though. Is the thing a little more trouble then you had thought?....Seems rather energetic and loud to me. Probably not the best thing if you were hoping for peace and quiet. Oh...by the way, I'm Jeremy Lysander. People back home though...some of them used to call me Shade."
At first he had tought maybe he should just stay quiet from them on. But impulse made him rise from his spot and move forward. He stopped a few feet short of her and exntended his hand, returning her smile with one of his own.

Anna smiled a bit and looked at the monkey. "Yes. I thought he would understand I wanted silence but I doubt it." She sighed. "I would love to throw him into a portal, but I wouldn't know what would happen to him." Anna's eyes brightened. "Oh! Sorry. Um, I can open portals into other worlds....that's what I ment. Sorry." Anna sometimes forgot that other people didn't know about portals.
Anna looked at the shadow around his feet. It was really intresting to see. She had known that other people had powers but she hadn't expected this really.
"Oh, hello, I'm Annamika, but please call me Anna." She stood up to shake his hand. (Don't worry, I won't do the girl tripping thing. So old!) She grinned a bit more and took his hand. "Nice to meet you...er...Shade." She laughed a bit. it was funny although she didn't want to tell him that.
Anna then looked at the T.V. It was on low volume and she saw something intersting. She looked at him. "Um...do you mind?" She said. She pointed toward the remote, saying she wanted to turn up the volume.

Karu heard a TV on and heard that Subway Comercial. he opened the door slightly and saw people crowded around a TV. "Um is this a party or a problem?" He asked as Grim meowed.
