Not really; you're still not getting my point: God knows everything. He knows your entire lifetime. Your entire lifeline. My hypothesis is that if you're going to live life, yes, you have a soul from conception. If you're NOT going to have a chance to live life, then no, it's an embryo and nothing more, and you're gonna get your soul as another child that's actually gonna live life. The same concept may apply to retards, too.

I don't think you understand the concept of free choice that God gave us. Yes, he knows what we're going to choose, but he still gives us a choice. Think of it like this: you have a friend that you know hates oranges, but loves chocolate chip cookies. When you offer your friend an orange or a cookie, you know which one your friend will pick, but you still give them the choice.

It's irresponsible in my opinion but....

It really is sold to people. They are told that it isn't even alive, there's no human being killed, there will be more pain, it's better than bringing an unwanted child into the world, and how responsible would that be? It's a guilt trip. And a big fat lie. But when that's all you're hearing, what else do you have to believe?

Oh yes. Sex has two purposes according to the CHurch: love and procreation. It is a gift from God, that when sanctified by marriage, is a beautiful thing that is not just for having babies, but for expressing your love for eachother. But when you wind up with a child due to your sexual actions, it would be a sin to kill that child. It doesn't mean you need to pop them out and then once you're done you're useless.

Nice analogy, IVG. Here's another one.

You're standing on top of a skyscraper. Imagine for two seconds that (it's no possible for you to fall off, and) you look down and see two cars coming at high speed toward each other far below. You know they can run into each other or not, but it's really quite out of your control.

Of course, every analogy we come up with is flawed, simply because God is completely outside anything else we know of.

But back to what NewAgeLink said: predestination is not something Catholics believe in. It was thrown out with the heresies in the early days of the church. God creates a human life for living, not for dying.

Catholics for choice.

Now the interesting thing is they repeatedly go against the Catholic Church.

They call abortion a moral option.

They denounce Church leaders as being immoral and selfish, not to be listened to.

They disagree with every Church teaching on sexuality.

Yet...they call themselves Catholic.

Catholic leaders keep releasing statements to say that these people are not Catholic. Because quite frankly...they aren't.
