Atae chuckled, possibilities also flicking through her mind. "Green feathers? I'll have to see that if it happens." She let out a soft sigh then. "You think I'll ever have kits?" It would help if she found a mate first, but... it just seemed strange to her that she didn't even have any prospects. She wasn't sure that Hemi really counted... he flustered her with his good looks and unthinking, unconditional kindness, but even so she only felt the tug of friendship toward him. It seemed... like most everyone that lived in her house was have little luck in the love department. Except Diina, but she was sweet and utterly oblivious a lot of the time. >>

A smile appeared and Terasu ruffled Atae's hair. "I'm sure you will someday. Just don't rush it, you know?" Like he was one to talk. But him and Charity just had that strange compatability, able to rival each other in a manner others couldn't understand. In all honesty, Terasu had been real lucky. "Besides, I'd have to meet your fellow before any deciding." And he gave a playful huff, lifting his chin like a protective brother might. "Are there any fellows I don't know about?" Raised eyebrow.

Atae giggled and snorted at Terasu's playacting, though she took his words about not rushing things to heart. "Ah... nah. Not anyone I'm interested in as more than a friend." She stretched her forelegs in front of her. "Maybe I should start trecking back up Mountain again more often. Or even around here... I don't really go out much unless I'm going to training or coming over here to see if I can find you. Kinda hard to meet anyone holed up in my room..." Not to mention that getting out more and just exploring the area surrounding the places she was familiar with might help with her bouts of restlessness somewhat. Hm.

And then there was a voice on the other side of the door... "TERASU! ... Where did you go?!" .. Oh dear, its the nagging pregnant wife! She calleth for her mate! "I -need- you! Now!"

Terasu blinked innocently. "What, you make it sound like I'm hard to find." He sweat-dropped lightly. "And a good trekking is always good, might see freinds and family more often." Why would Atae hesitate even thinking about it?
The poor male jumped at the loud voice behind the door, his ears going limp immediately. Eh, what did that woman want? So bossy. ;__; He prayed Atae didn't get like that when she had kits. Bashfully, he opened the door just enough to peek. "Charity, what's wrong?"

Atae stuck her tongue out. "Sometimes you are. You won't be now... but eh." She nodded to his second comment though, not knowing the queery that followed it in his thoughts. If she had she would have answered that it was the first time she'd really considered going on one of her hikes without a particular person or destination in mind. It sounded like a good idea now that she had.
Atae jumped slightly at Charity's voice as well, but waited while Terasu investigated. If he was going to be occupied for a while she was going to go ahead and go now. Not that she entirely wanted to leave, or anything, but... she felt out of place. And... maybe she could go on one of her hikes?

Charity had long since finished the meat in her ravenous hunger and had placed several soft towels that she'd gathered earlier while her mate was out, carefully and just so within the beanbag. She was now curled up in it and looked to Terasu as he peeked in the door. Ears fanning backwards as she gave him these impossibly large doe eyes.
"I think they'll be coming soon... I need you." Her voice was soft, and perhaps even a little scared? Well she wasn't exactly prepaired to be a mother yet, and all this seemed to be bringing out a lot of raw emotions in Charity.

The peeking kitsu's face had fallen in a mixture of shock and disbelief. Coming?!? Now?!? Terasu was slightly hesitant, not knowing if this was a dangerous mood swing. Those doe eyes were an emotion she rarely displayed. With a shake of his head, he stepped right back in the moment. His head wipped around his shoulder to Atae, a stumbling determination in his face. "The eggs are coming!" As to what Atae should do, he didn't know if it was traditionally okay to have others present for such things. Or if Charity would approve. But what if they'd need help? So, he nodded numbly and nervously and stepped in the room, leaving the door with a sliver of a crack...just in case.

Atae tensed up suddenly in shock and nodded rather numbly, a very large sense of don't leave yet hitting her from Terasu. She had no idea what she could do... aside from moral support... but maybe that was what he needed? She curled up outside the door, against the wall opposite the side it opened to, so she would be right there and not get smacked by the door if Terasu rushed out for something. And he left it open a sliver... an almost morbid fascination compelled her to peek inside and watch. She would quickly ammend that situation if Charity didn't appreciate it but... for some reason she wanted to see.

Yes now! DX She would have smacked him upside the head had he said that outloud. It felt like there were bowling balls rolling around in her stomach, shifting themselves and getting ready to meet the world. Green tails lashed in apprehension, forepaws draped over the beanbag's side as claws dug into the wood of the floor.
Suddenly, her muscles tensed and expression contorted in what could be considered a painful grimace. A grunt following as claws dug deeper into the wood. Then Charity relaxed, looking behind her as she moved a tail aside to reveal a striped egg. Huh... well whatdoyaknow. The first egg.

Her discomfort made him pale, and he slunk around the beanbag till he was beside her shoulder. A gentle nuzzle was given with one of his rare purrs, his tails wisping feather-light over her sides. A grunt made him lift his head to glance at her, before green caught the corner of his eye. The tails moved and revealed an egg to the new parents, causing Terasu to shuffle anxiously. His own tails curled around the smooth shell and pulled it close between himself and Charity so it was out of the way and warm. The purr resumed itself, not knowing what else to expect from his mate.

As Terasu placed the egg between them, Charity noticed how the color seemed similar to her own and the stripes likened to the ones on Terasu's ears. Ears lifted slightly as she heard Terasu's purr which somewhat calmed her. It wasn't over yet, she knew that much.. she could still feel something in there.
Placing her head underneath Terasu's, the femme kitsu tensed yet again. Placing her face in her mate's neck ruff, and growling into it. Eventually, another egg appeared when her tails swept to the side. Amber eyes lifting just enough to peek around and see the egg that was colored in purple, red and black.

The details of the egg weren't even noticed, Terasu was too focused on Charity's own wellbeing. His tails continued their strokes, and his purr rumbled on the neck she rested against. He realized that with each growl came a new egg, and his head turned to the aggitated, green tails. Egg number two. It too was drwn closer by the tails, resting next to its parents and sibling. "You're doing great Charity. Deep breaths now." That was the only advice he knew, but it was better than nothing.

Was it over yet? She didn't know how many eggs were in there, but know there could be as many as four. After all... she was one of four siblings. Charity muttered at Terasu's words. This was all his fault! He made her fat and now she has to pop out these damn eggs! She could blame him later... right now she was focusing on getting these things out of her body. How many more were left?!
A few minutes later, another round of snarling eminated from Charity's throat. Her sides heaving as she breathed deeply, her body shaking lightly under the strain. Eventually, another egg appeared among Charity's green tails. This one looking a bit strange as it was light green mostly and had some other colors on it, but also an ouroboros.
