I thought that the movie overall was pretty good. I personally like it better than all the other's so far. Though I agree that the character Tonks need's WAY more work. You only get to see her twice throughout the entire movie, I don't think it's so much the actress's fault as it is the writer's. They just didn't do much with what could have been an amazing character. Luna, Bellatrix, and Umbridge though are exactly what they should be, all embody the character's that they were set to play and they play them well.

We really didn't get to see much Tonks in the movie I thought the actress was good. But compared to the person who played Luna...OH...MY...GOD...excellent! The movie Luna made me REALLY love Luna more.

As for Quidditch the reason they didn't film it was because in the book Umbridge makes a rule saying they can't play it any more.

Still it was rushed. A lot of Harry Potter fans, I mean like die-hard fans, are probably dissapointed. I am.

From what I've heard.. it seems the casting director did a good job with Luna. About time they got something right.

Unbrokenlover said it best. I think iwth the books your imagination does most of the work (helped along with the wonderful details the author provides), but the movie... you're seeing it so you can't really imagine anything.

Sirius's death was okay... It was almost exactly how I imagined it. I don't understand how it is 'rushed'.

The only thing that REALLY, REALLY annoys me is the camera. There was so many flashes, and jolts. They used the Daily Prophet trick waaaay too much. I mean, it was awesome the first time, and the second time was okay-fine... but repeating it again was annoying.

Best things about the movie : Luna, The DADA practices, Grawp, Umbridge and Bellatrix.

Worst things about the movie: Camera, Dudley, Arthur Weasley's death, and how it doesn't match the book. ((Harry flying in clear view of muggles in the beginning? Seriously.))

I complain too much. xd

Purpleh, Arthur Weasley didn't die, I believe he was just seriously injured by Nagini. smile

Overall I liked the movie. I love Imelda Staunton as Umbridge, she's absolutely brilliant. I also like the actress who plays Luna...her whispery tone, her willowy appearance fits the character very well.

I also didn't mind that we see less of Hermione and Ron. I mean, I still love the characters, but it was a nice break from all the drama. The book was so full of angst, and it was expressed in the film, but it was not overdone and I applaud the director for that. I was afraid of that aspect bringing down the film. It was also a nice break from excessive exposure to Emma Watson. I'm sorry to all her fans out there, and I don't mean to offend, but the actress' painfully limited acting skills is all too evident at times. However I am glad to see a bit of improvement on her part in the fifth film.

The film did feel a bit rushed, and my sister mentioned that it was the shortest out of all the films so far. I wish they made it longer though, I wouldn't have mind. They did a pretty good job considering how long the book is, and I think it's my favourite one so far.

xDD Yeah, that's what I meant. Injured. sweatdrop They didn't show that part. It would've been awesome to see that part in more detail.

I did indeed enjoy the movie it was a pleasant watch but for the book nerd and fanatic fan that i am, i was a bit upset they left so much out of the movie which was in the book, i understand that certain thing's needed to be left out either for simply confusing the movie or because of the time scale they had but some things should have been left in the movie! i was horrified that some things which explained the plot for the future books was left out it seemed a real big insult to the fans and more importantly the writer jk rowling.

i mean for instance they completely left out S.P.E.W that was a huge plot in the book we heard about S.P.E.W throughout the book and it did not even recieve one single mention in the movie. She goes and puts clothes out trying to trick the elfs into freedom, we even see the kitchen in the book and also see some of the elfs actually getting drunk i believe we see winky in this one too which never happened.

Also ron weasley and hermionie was meant to have been made prefects in the book and once again we didn't see that develop or see the problems arise when malfoy starts pushing his status forward. Also we know that percy rons older brother should have been in the movie more he was at harrys trial in the book but we never saw him until the dumbledore army is discovered. Also prefects are not even mentioned in the movie now that was something important that should have been. You feel for the weasleys throughout the book with the stress of what they feel for percy in the movie you are not even made aware that there is simply no contact with percy which is causing stress and pain within his family.

I was really looking forward to in the movie was St. Mungo's Hospital after arthur is attacked you see the gang come across neville visiting his parents with his grandmother in the book. Also you get to see gildred lockheart again in the book neither of these happened, the neville scene was vital i feel but i can understand them leaving out the lockheart bit but i was looking forward to it because he really does amuse me.

The actual scene in the ministry of magic did my head in i drove my fiancee mad commenting throughout this scene they got so many things wrong, left so many things out it makes you wonder if they were actually bothering to use the book as a reference.

+ when harry and the gang arrive at the ministry of magic in the movie the doors open and there in the prophecy room whereas in the book there is several rooms they must get through and each one is magical we see them all go through trials and become injured. this wasnt in the movie.

+ in the book neville gets injured and is even tortured by the death eaters in the movie we get nothing, no injurys, not a sign of torturing anywhere and we dont even realise he was even there until we see dumbledore and voldemort dueling.

+ there was scenes cut from both hermionie and ron, hermonie gets injured in the battle and ron gets attacked by brain like objects in one of the rooms which were cut from the movie.

+ in the book after everything has settled down to a extent we see harry in dumbledores office when dumbledore makes him relive everything and harry is very angry in the book and rightly so. but in the movie there is no sign of anger or nothing, that was a vital point which should have been in the movie.

+ it makes me laugh when they collect harry from grimmauld place because they fly low and next to a cruise ship yet i remember mad eye moody making them fly high and take many detours. mad eye moody never would have done that

+ they wasnt paying attention either concidering that fred and george were in the same DADA class as ron, harry and hermionie they were two years older than RHH so why were they in the same class. it was a small thing but was annoying to say the least.

+ it annoys me that this is the second time they have ignored dobby and had neville replace him to a extent.

i know a essay but it bugged me it seriously looked like and still does that they do not know what they are doing.
