~Quest post 1~
'Phhhhhhhhrrrtttttttttttttttt' Sounded the kettle's whistle as its top did some irritating little dance, steam billowing out.

A wornout looking werewolf forced herself up from the kitchen table, the chair honking as it slid back on the wood floors. A sharp glare was issued to the sound before a white mug was snatched up, it's powdery contents already inside. One hand turned off the flame while the other grasped the kettle, it's whistling subsiding soon after that. A hiss was exposed to wolf ears as the water slid against the hot insides before spilling into the cup. A green tea teabag slowly started to leak it's tastes and color.

Fuel in hand, Azumi made her way back to the table. There un folded in front of her was the quest letter she had gotten earlier that day. "But most of them are simply... odd, if not disturbing sometimes ". Those words saddend her a little. A mother never wants her child's things to be seen as..disturbing. odd is fine, but..Oh, why should it matter? She'd love her son no matter what he did or how he acted. That's just how mother's were.

Wine hued eyes scanned over the thing again and soon they were traveling across the kitchen and towards the fridge. Many of Osso's drawings were stuck there with magnets. From where she sat, Azumi saw nothing wrong with them. They were of the family pets, of trees, a so called 'deer' he'd seen out back. One of what she thought was of her talking on the phone, and the other was that of Nana um..eating? Anyway, they were ordinary picutres...Ordin-wait, what was that?

For the second time the chair honked in protest as it was shifted backwards. This time it was ignored as the werewolf only had her attention on the drawings now. She was right up next to them and in the fading light of day she could see the backside of the paper. Gently taking one off, she flipped it over and saw black circles with triangles inside them. Some just had lines and odd shapes, like some attempt at ancient numbers. She searched the backs of other drawings, but alas, only found dates and some random numbers.

With a sigh she put the pictures back and returned to her drink at the table. Maybe it was just things catching up to her..maybe a good nights sleep would solve something and hopefully it would clear her mind for tomorrow.

~Quest Post 2: Unknown sign from the past?~

Upstairs Osso was sitting halfway in the crisp black sheets of his bed. The lamp besides him shed a golden light over the pad of white paper propped against his knees. markers of all different colors were spread out to the right of him while three were in one of his hands. With the other he held a red marker just poised above tha paper, ready to draw a connecting line from one point to another.

After much internal debating, or at least that's how it looked, for the boy's hollow gaze seemed to just been glued to one spot like one deep in a trance or thought, Osso let the ink glide along his canvas. The red pen was then capped and placed besides him while a green one took it's place in his right hand. Again the familiar squeek of the fat marker tip was dragged over the page. This one too was soon capped and laid to rest next to him and he held the sketch book away from him to marvel at his work.

In three colors-green, red, and black- there sat a large cirle with many funny shapes along its rim, along with triangles and squares in its middle, in the once empty space of the paper. Osso moved it into different angles like he'd seen professionals do on TV...except he wasn't quite sure why they did it, they drawing still looked the same. Bringing the pad back into his lap and against his knees he was just about to add something before a noise caught his attention.

Looking up towards his closed bedroom door he saw that Ginji had heard it as well. Head moved down slightly until he caught sight of the Skullwisp's tail. If it was moving, it ment it was mom, if it wasn't...well, he didn't want to know. Luckily it was wagging a little and that gave the boy the que to put the sketch pad behind his pillow and turn off the light.

Just as the lightbulb died he heard Azumi get to the top of the stairs, He watched the hall light flick on and saw her shadow beneath the door. Eyes quickly shut when the door knob turned and a soft light slipped into the room. It fell across his bed and engulfed the tail wagging Ginji. Holding his breath he waited for that all knowing click before opening his eyes and looking over his shoulder towards the now closed door. That was a close one.

The bone child, however, soon felt a drowsiness fall over him. The pillow beneath his head now felt comforting and it wasn't before long that everything became black.
----

An green light showed through his eye lids and an arm was raised to cover his face. It couldn't be morning already, could it? But upon opening them he was once more cast into total darkness. "What?..." he asked himself stupidly. This wasn't his room. Where was the window? The door? The BED? Only just now did the boy realize he was standing, but one what? Even the ground was black.

Just when he was about to have some pre-child breakdown a bright white light was thrown on him. Blinking again he gazed up, but saw nothing but the light, which surprisingly didn't hurt his sight at all. 'This was weird, but perhaps it could be weirder, right?' just as those thoughts left him, however, the white light that illuminated him began to change from red to acid green and then to blue. Images of weird circles, which Osso quickly recognized as the same type he had just drawn, flashed around him.

The boy became startled now, whirling this was and that, trying to watch the image long enough to fully inspect it. But it moved too fast. one second it'd be right there and just as tall as him, but then the next it would be as if a mile away and the size of a baseball.

This was becoming insane...he felt like he was going insane. There had to be a way out! Osso frantically looked around, but all he saw was black and the red circle seemed to have multiplied into a hundred, all moving at different times. He looked up, but only light. he looked down and a sudden yelp was given as he saw the blackness start to spread into his blue circle like ink when a pen was left against paper too long; slowly spreading like spiderwebbing.

Too much, too much! Osso's brain and mental stability were racing and when that happened the images seemed to move faster too. "Go away, go away!" he screamed, shutting his eyes and crouching down. Elbows were pressed against the sides of his legs and his arms went over to shield his head. "This isn't real, go away!" again he screamed and everything seemed to go calm.

Osso lifted his head quickly, brows high as he looked around frantically. it took a minute before he realized he was back in his room. The sheets were tangled and had been shoved to the end of the bed. Pillows were on the floor around him and he was still in a crouched position. A long sigh of reliefe was issued from his mouth, forehead resting on his knees for a second.

"A dream..all a dream.." he kept telling himself and finally had the will power to look up again. What he was met with though was what he hadn't wanted to see.

There, as big as his room was tall, was the red circular symbol that had just haunted him for who knows how long. It glowed it's horrid red on the wall just opposite of him. "No!" was the only thing he was able to yell out before he noticed that the lines of the symbol were odd and not all there. Small holes and gaps made it appear moth eaten, like when his marker stopped working..when his mother had wiped a bleeding finger across the cutting board. Blood. That's what it was...

"No, Go AWAY!" Osso shouted again. now in rage he picked up several markers and hurled them across the room. With a clatter they made contact with the wall and then the floor. The shape began to become hazy before it just faded away.

The hall light flicked on and a dishevelled werewolf burst into the room. "Osso, what on earth?!" Azumi half cried half asked. She looked around and saw the markers on the ground near the door, saw the pillows and the rumpled sheets. "Bad dream?" she asked, now more calm and standing up straight.

Osso nodded as he sat down on the bed.

"C'mon," she said with a wave of her hand and a motherly smile.

Osso obliged and slid off the bed, but not without making a mad dash for the door. Ducking under his mother's arm he ran down the hall and into her's.

Azumi soon followed, leaving the door and a still sleeping Ginji inside.

Ahh, the airport. Lively, bustling, always busy...and a PAIN. At least to Osso it was. The blonde boy was still half alseep despite it being around 8 AM. Sure, there were tons of things to look at and his awesome friend was with him, but right now his mother's chattering voice and Nana constantly mussing his hair was not going well with him.

Eye lids seemed to droop and once or twice he tried to just 'lean' against his mother's leg and catch a few Z's, but NO, that woman didn't stay still for one minute. Infact, he hadn't even paid much attention to how the little group of four-Nana had seen them off at security- even got to the terminal. now maybe he could sleep...But what if he saw that man again? The one from the dream the night before. He had only caught a glimpse but still it had irked him.

"Flight 77 to South Africa! Boarding all first class and section A!" came the annoying, high pitched voice of some flight attendent. Why did everyone have to be chipper this morning?

"Come on you guys, that's us!" the Noir exclaimed enthusiastically. She was much more talkative and lively-much to Osso's displeasure- compared to around three days ago. "Iiiiii...Yea, I have all the tickets," she said, thought it really was unnecesary considering everyone probably knew she had them..they WERE right in her hand.

Azumi started bustling the Mishaps and Tori towards the gate entrance. Paper tickets were given to the damned lady who then fed them through a machine. names appeared in the form of the flight roster and before Osso had known what happend, they were going down some hollow sounding tunnel...thing.

The skeleton boy kept quiet, but would constantly look over to Wy to either give or recieve some sort of support. His mother was on a mission, so no use in looking up to her at the second.

"Ah ha! here we are! Frequent fligher miles really do pay off!" Azumi said, stopping right after passing through the curtains from first class. Sure, their seats weren't up there, but now they had the middle isle, right up front with plenty of leg room and...A TV. YES.

More to come.

~ Quest post 3: How...?~

Well, Folks, it looks like it's goin to be a another sunny day. Came the news reporters voice as Azumi walked in a flicked on little TV. It sat cozily on one of the kitchen counters near the entrance, it's cord running around the corner into the family room.

Osso looked up from his drawing, hair falling over his eyes. This time crayons were littered all over the round wooden table, the majority of them collected around the a large pad of paper.

"I think it's time we cut your hair, kid," played the Werewolf as she ruffled the boy's locks.

"Nu!" Osso yelped towards the hair cutting, throwing his hands over his hair. He liked it this way: long, but not too long.

"We'll see...So," she began, now that her eyes had caught sight that the boy did have a picture drawn on the paper," what'cha drawing?"

"Um.." Osso took his hands off his head and looked down at the "artwork". It was mainly gray and brown, scribbles serving as who knows what. As long as it worked out in his mind, it didn't matter. "This is a mine...?" He used a crayon to point to the big blob of gray and brown.

"Who're they?" She asked, pointing to little black stick like figures inside the so called "mine."

"They're the miners who are tra-" he was cut off when the TV went into standby mode. Colored lines filled the screen along with an annoying "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"

Suddenly, however, it went back to normal. Please excuse this interuption in our program spoke the lady newsreporter we've just got news that a silver mine has exploded. It has been reported that three miners are currently stuck underground. Their conditions are unknown at this time. Work crew above ground have said that this horrible event happend around 7 AM this morning, but no other information has been provided as....

Azumi looked from the TV to Osso then to his drawing. She counted three stick figures in the mass of gray and remembered her boy's words before the news report. "Osso...what time did you start drawing this?" she asked. This was too weird..

"Before you got up."

"Yes, I know that, but when? What time?"

"Um...Just after my clock went bring bring?"

Azumi sighed, "which was?"

"Around 7."

"You're sure?" She was now looking right at him.

Osso nodded quickly, brows raised," yes, momma!"

Azumi nodded and moved away from the table adn towards the kettle. This was too weird, too coincidental... wasn't it? Only as she put the water on the stove to boil did Osso's quest pop into her head. "Disturbing drawings...." No, this just had to be by some sort of mistake or reason...

~Quest Post 4: Starting to doubt this is coincidence~

With steaming tea in hand, Azumi was making her way up the stairs. She had left her still currently drawing child in the kitchen as he started on another piece of art.

Reaching the top, she moved down the hall way. At the second to last door she grasped it's brass knob until it gave a click.

Pushing on the wooden slab she was greeted with a furry thing pelting out of room. Hot tea spilt from the green mug and all over the room's carpet and her foot. "ODIN!" Screamed the woman as she saw the green Ark bop down the stairs.

With an annoyed huff she set down her cup on a small table in the hall. Eyes glanced around her office before spotting an old towel used for dusting. it was shoved in some corner near a book case, gray and tattered. Picking up the cloth, she made her way back over to the doorway and got down to try and lift the tea from the carpet before it stained. it was then, and only then, did something shiny catch her eye.

"Hm?" she wondered and put the rag to the side. Going in closer she noticed something gold was stuck between the carpet edge and the doorway's paneling. using her nail, and some tricky manuvering, she managed to free the unknown something. What she held put her into shock. "I FOUND IT!" She cried as jumped right up. There in her hand was a gold ring, "I found it I found it!"

Osso, even though all the way down in the kitchen, heard his mother's happy cries and became at once interested. Grabbing his drawing pad he raced out of one room and then up the stairs. "What'd you find?" he asked when he got to the open doorway of his mother's office.

"My ring!" She exclaimed in sheer joy.

Osso tilted his head as if remembering something. "Is it yellow?" he asked.

"Yellow? Well...it's gold.." Azumi stopped squeeing for a minute as she answered. Holding it in her palm, she lowered her hand for the bone child to see.

Hollow sockets peered into her palm and brows rose while his internal guesses were correct. taking the drawing pad, he flipped back towards the begginning pages before stopping on one. He then handed it up to Azumi.

Azumi let one of her own eyebrows raise as she took the paper in her free hand. She studied it for a minute, trying to depict what the colors and figures were. "Osso...When did you draw this?" She asked as she noticed today's date in a corner of the paper. How did he know the dates and numbers? Sure she'd taught him some of that...but not how to correctly use them in the forms of dates and such.

"Um...When I came home when me and Nana met Berg," he stated after thinking a bit.

'That was before I even lost the ring...' she thought. Again the quest started buzzing in her brain. Two so called coincidences in one morning? This was absurd! The blonde looked down to her child again...this HAD to be what the quest ment.Taking a seat on the ground, drawing pad resting on her lap, she began to flick through. The other scribbles weren't as "showy" as the two Azumi had seen that day, but there was another one that caught her attention.

"When did you draw this one?" She asked, holding the picture up for Osso to see.

One look and Osso seemed to shrink back a little. It was that picture he had drawn of the weird symbol; the one he had seen in his dream that had tormented him so. "Before our trip..." he said in a smaller voice.

"Dear, are you alright?" Eyes had seen his reaction towards the drawing, however small it was.

"I had a dream with that one...It was scary. That time you came in and I went back to your room," he clarified.

Azumi remembered that night with a nod. "Osso...How did you draw these?" She flipped back and forth between the three drawings.

the boy shrugged,"I just saw them in my head. Just like that," he tried to snap, but it didn't quite work out.

"And you drew this one at 7 this morning and this one before meeting Berg?" She indicated towards the ring one and the one of the mine.

"Yes...Am I in trouble?" he suddenly asked.

The Werewolf shook her head, "no dear, I'm just curious...Very curious." Already things were going through her mind, a few weak connections here and a few there. She needed to figure out the facts about that third drawing though.

"Osso, have you ever seen that symbol before?" The red symbol circle drawing was now being shown.

Again, Osso shook his head.

"Well, we'll just have to figure that out!"

~Quest Post 5: Linking things together~

The Noir made her way over to her computer and it's old desk. She cleared away old and new papers, journals, pictures, and garbage from the surface until finally finding her scanner. Drawing pad in hand, she layed the symbol drawing on the clear plastic like surface of the inside of the scanner before letting its "lid" fall down on top.

Computer chair squeeked in retaliation to the woman's weight, but silenced itself with a kick from a shoeless foot. Wine eyes slid over towards the doorway where her young charge still stood, "C'mon 'ere my odd little child," she smirked.

Osso gave a small smile with white lips as he ran the short distance between them.He was helped into her lap, hollow sockets watching the glowing computer screen. "What are you going to do?"

"I have a program that holds a database of all symbolic words, letters, all that good stuff. What you drew looking like some transmutation circle, so we'll try and match it to that database first," she explained while the image was scanned. A tiny 'blip' gave the alarm that it was finished and soon the image was up on the screen.

Osso watched, perplexed and excited all at the same time. He wanted to figure out something about the image as much as Azumi did...well, almost as much.

The little arrow made it's way around the screen, opening different windows and boxes. The necessary program loaded before it opened into a full screen sha-bam! It looked like some software out of CSI or something; with the green text and hightech look to it. "Now were uploadyour drawing to here," she opened a file and up came the picture, "and then drag it over into this," she said. When the picture was put in place, on the right side of the screen, many different images were speading through on the left. A number box above changed with every picture, and with over a thousand to choose from, it surprisingly didn't take all that long until box boxes flashed green.

"Match?" The boy asked?

"You got it! Okay, it says here that this particular transmutation circle is used in...Oh, you stupid thing!" Azumi cursed lightly under her breath as the program wouldn't show the rest of the sentence.

"Read the rest!" Osso wanted to continue.

"Alright alright. Here it says that the last time one of these was recorded of being used was over 7 months ago. it had been burned into the ground of a basement of an abandoned building....7 months ago..." Things in the woman's mind were clicking. Her voice faded away and she stared blankly at the edge of the desk.

'days before the trip... June first...seven months ago. 7 This morning, sometime in the night...who knows when..dreams, today, the mine...' Then it all just fell into place. " Oh my God..." she gasped and looked right at her charge.

"What, what!?" Osso cried.

"The circle done weeks ago, but really happened more than 7 months ago; the trapped miners at 7 this morning, you drew it at 7 this morning; I found my ring today, the date you wrote on the drawing that you did weeks ago as well. Osso, don't you know what that means?"

Osso shook his head. he was begginning to get annoyed that she hadn't just told him yet!

"You've drawn things from the past, future, and present..you SAW these things in your head and drew them!" Azumi was thoroughly astounded by this. It had to be the only explanation. No one did this stuff on accident.

Osso did't say a thing, he was too shocked at himself. he stared with hollow gaze at his mother in disbelief.

End

Osso suddenly start feeling weird. It wasn't a bad feeling, just... funny of sorts
It was like his bone like skin dried out completely, leaving nothing but a dry, hard surface. That feeling intensified as it seemed to make its way deeper inside his body, leaving him a bit thirsty. But once it reached his core, it rapidly reversed its way outwards, like waves of cool water running through his veins

Once the last wave faded, and returned his skin its old texture, Osso opened his eyes and imediatly knew he had changed
The bone pattern on his hands were different, much more skeleton like, and the arms were shaped like bones, though the dark part was still flesh. The same had happened all over his body, as his skin seemed to have stretched and leave his muscles and bones much more visible

A small snake origami slithered at a furious speed around the corridors, looking for the right room room. Once it found it, it crawled under the door and quickly made it's way towards the young Mishap, circling around him until it was picked and unfolded
Inside it read:

Flying Note
We are very pleased to know you reached the child stage. This will be a very important phase of your life as you will soon find out
Please report to the infirmary for a check up and discover your elemental alignment
