"I swear, I think he was," Argent murmured, staring after her boy. She simply had to learn English now - something was happening to her skunk, and she was not sure she liked it.
Fleur was quick to return with a small box. Beaming, he opened it and handed Valens a large apple fritter then gave Argent and Ellie both chocolate-iced donuts, setting aside his own raspberry jelly-filled donut for after he was finished with Valens' tail. That completed, Fleur eagerly scooted his chair around behind Valens' and busied himself running his fingers through it to untangle the hair, his own tail twitching happily. This was wonderful - Chrysler always smacked him or tried to burn his own tail when he tried to touch hers. Whatever - Valens' was so much more interesting!
Argent eagerly ate her donut, licking the icing off first while she kept an eye on Fleur, trying to decipher his behavior.

Ellie couldn't help but giggle, she wondered what Valens would think if he had actually noticed... her train of thought derailed though when suddenly she was given donuts. Her tail set to lashing in an excited sort of way before she carefully picked on up and popped it in her mouth, enjoing the taste, "Thats so good!"
Valens was as about as easy to make happy when the apple fritter was handed over to him. His ears turned forward, his eyes went wide, and he gave a happy sound at the scent of the treat, "Thank you Phil." He said happily then picked it up, munching on it while the skunk set to working on his tail. It wasn't as bad as it could have been giving he did get a bath recently, yesterday wasn't it? Then day before yesterday at the very latest!
As he ate he turned slightly as if trying to get a good look at what Fleur was doing.

Argent was completely distracted by her own donut at this point, enjoying it far too much. Donuts were her favorite snack though she definitely liked cupcakes and candy bars too, but they were still not as good as a donut drenched with icing.
Fleur was in "la la land" at that point, his eyes half closed with a satisfied smile on his face as he continued to run his fingers through Valens' tail, separating it into three sections so he could braid it. He was enjoying himself far too much, and if his dragon had not been so distracted by her donut, she probably would have bitten him to snap him out of it, but he was free to his fantasies right now, carefully weaving Valens' tail into a braid.

Valens licked off his fingers when he finished off his treat then shifted again to watch as Fleur worked on hsi tail, getting it all neatened out and was braiding it tightly. A small smile appeared on his lips, the horse did his best to stay still despite feeling that same itch that was him desire to move. He had traded his tail for the apple treat so he couldn't very well take it back now that would be rude.
"Its looking good so far." He said, referring to the braid and how it was coming along. Mostly because it seemed a bit quiet even with the rush of other people around them.

Fleur finally released the horse's tail after tying off the end of the braid, smiling up at him. "There you go! Nice and pretty now." He was thankful for his black fur for once - Valens could not see him blushing now unless he got a good look at the white V on his face, the only place where his embarrassment could be seen. Fleur quickly grabbed his own donut and ate it so he would not make Valens wait any longer. He knew the other boy needed to move around, and the skunk did not want to keep him waiting.

Valens rose to his feet and gave his now braided tail and flick back and forth before he grinned, "Heh, thanks." It looked well done enough that it could take all of what Valens did for fun and not come undone, this would be quite useful and get him out of a lot of sittings to have his tail or hair redone, "Alright! Lets get going we have trees anxiously awaiting people to climb them."
Probably not, or at least not him climbing them as he had the hooves and all but none the less he was anxious to climb the trees since Fleur had never done that before! Trees then the arcade if the skunk was feeling up to doing both.

Fleur quickly finished his donut and stood up, dusting off his skirt before smiling at Valens. "Lead the way!" he offered, amused. He briefly thought that he really was not dressed for climbing a tree, but it was too late now - he did not want to disappoint his friend. At least he was wearing underwear under the skirt.

Ellie scrammbled up to her feet hearing what Fleur had said to Valens and felt a moment of panic, lead the way...? Him? Her tail lashed and she watched the boy closely as he looked around then picked a direction and pointed. Much to the Silver's suprise it was the right direction even!
"Trees are this way." He said, giving Fleur a smile and set to leading the way down one of the long, expansive hallways lined with stores to the glass doors that lead out into the courtyard. There were indeed trees out here too, ready and willig to be climbed up or so the horse believed.
"Do you wanna pick which tree?" He asked, none of them were much different the others and they weren't to large either seeming to be well taken care of with their branches trimmed back to keep them all uniform.

Fleur all but skipped after Valens, high as a kite after braiding his tail. He came to an abrupt stop when they reached the courtyard and he was asked something, blinking a few times before registering his friend's question. "Uh? Um...this one?" he asked, looking up at the tree nearest to them. He frowned at it, wondering how one climbed a tree in the first place before thinking about it and grabbing the lowest branch. He tried to lift his leg to get purchase on the trunk only to have his leg stopped halfway by his skirt. Frowning at it, he tried again but with no different result.
"Now there's a problem I didn't think of..." he muttered before grabbing the waist of his skirt, rolling the waistband, and hiking it up enough to free his knees. "Ah, there!" He was now able to get a decent foothold on the tree and started trying to scale it.
Argent dropped to the ground and hid her face with her claws, appalled. "TELL me he did not just do that, please," she whined.

Valens gave a nod as Fleur picked a tree before he walked over to the other side of it, sized it up, then jumped up to grab hold of a branch, "Gonna hold tight with your hands and let your feet do the work." He said, doing a sort of scrammbling run up the side of the tree. Not exactly nice to the tree since it left hoof grooves in it but he was soon up on the first branch, "Hardest part is getting to the first branch. From thre its easy." He said looking to where Fleur was.
Ellie couldn't help but giggle when the skunk hicked up his skirt so that he could more easily climb with her boy, "Just hope hes wearing something under the skirt?" She said, giving a little cough to get her laugh under control. That wasn't nice, she didn't want to insult her friend by laughing after all.

Fleur squeaked when he slipped on his first try but managed to scramble up to the branch beside Valens, straddling the branch carefully. "So I see!" he responded, giggling. He waited until he had his balance before standing up on the branch, slowly getting the hang of this.
"He better be," Argent keened pitifully, risking a mortified glance upwards where Fleur was teetering on the branch over her head. "Good, he is...but still." She gave an exhausted sigh. "I have GOT to learn English and have a Very Long Talk with him..."

"We can't get very high in these but this is just a demonstration anyway." He said, kinda like those short demos the magazines gave you for games that were coming out in the future. He went up a couple more branches, as far as he was sure he could go since the tree sorta did a swaying motion and the branches bent a bit under his weight. The downside of being his size was that things didn't have the strength to hold him up as well as he wished they would.
Ellie looked up at the pair then to the slightly swaying tree, "Wow... I hope that doesn't break." She mused out loud, she wondered what the people of the mall would do if some kids broke one of their trees. Maybe the pair would have to pay for it? That or they would just have to run, a lot... her tail swished as she thought deeply on the possibilty.

"It's fun anyway!" Fleur stated with a smile, enjoying climbing with him. "There are some bigger trees around my house...I'll have to try climbing them sometime." The skunk climbed higher and stood on the branch, swaying his tail to keep his balance, completely oblivious to the fact that the tree was swaying with their weight.
Argent, however, was not. She frowned at the way the branch bowed underneath her boy. She did not believe a fall from that height would be terribly harmful, but it would not feel good either. Pawing at the air, she chirped at him to try to get him to come down.

Valens gave a nod of his head, "That sounds cool, the best trees are the really tall ones. You get to the tops then can see from miles!" It was useful to climb them and get a feel for where you were when you were lost. Where you were and where you wanted to be, "Lets see here."
The horse scooted to to a lower branch and wrapped his lets around it and then let go so that he was hanging upside down, "Hehe, look Ellie I'm a bat." He said, flapping his arms.
The Silver Dragon gave a dragons versions of a laugh before flicking her tail back and forth, thoughtful. Maybe if the horse fell on his head he would knock some sense into himself? Probably more likely to just give himself a headache though...
"How about we come down now!" She called up at the kids seeing the look the other Silver had on her face. Best that they herd them down before they fell down or knocked the poor tree down.

Fleur giggled at Valens and tried to do the same. "Do all bats hang upside down?" he asked out of curiosity as he attempted to mirror Valens' position, hooking his knees on the branch and hanging upside down. He blinked and let out an alarmed yelp when his branch cracked and broke, sending him to the ground on his head though at least he wasn't high enough up to really hurt himself.
"I knew that would happen!" Argent ran to her boy and whined, checking him where he was trying to get his bearings straight again, his tail flopped over his back and resting on his head. "Are you okay?" she rattled worriedly even though he couldn't understand her. "Did you hurt yourself? Break anything? ...pull your skirt back down and quit flashing people!" She hopped around behind him and grabbed the tail of his skirt to pull it back down where it had ended up disarrayed over his back when he fell.
