Chapter 4
Maria’s POV
One hour later there was another Bryar in the car, and I was exhausted. It was exactly as I had been told, like pooing a melon. A REALLY big melon!
I looked at the tiny person sleeping in my arms, wrapped in part of my wedding dress that had been torn off for this unexpected occasion. I started considering whether or not I could call him Melon. I decided against it as he might not be very happy about it when he got a bit older.
He looked just like his father too, in a non-bearded and slightly younger way. In other words, perfect…Although I was still vaguely in denial about playing a part in his creation. I mean, how could something so amazing and perfect have come from me? How could another person have been inside me for 9 months?
The car stopped. We were at the hospital.
Bob’s POV.
I watched her as she sat next to me in the car, completely oblivious to everything happening around her and had lost herself staring at our child. A beautiful image to see a mother and her newborn son, to almost feel the vast amounts of unconditional love pulsating from them.
I could have watched them for hours, then we reached the hospital.
I got out of the car then opened the door on the other side of the vehicle to help Maria out with the baby. We walked up to the hospital entrance, Maria still in her wedding dress, although a large chunk of it missing, our son in her arms wrapped in the missing chunk, and my arm held her protectively round the waist. This is one family that no-one’s going to mess with. Bob, Maria and Cory.

WARNING: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS A TIME JUMP.
Chapter 5
Maria’s POV
It was Cory’s birthday, his fifth birthday. I could hardly believe that the last five years had gone so quickly! He was such a gorgeous little boy, who, according to him, had about twenty girlfriends. It made me smile to think about my boy running around trying to kiss all the little girls in the playground and running away when they all tried to kiss him. He was in the garden, playing with his uncle Frank while Bob watched them smiling in his adorable way, the way that made me melt inside.
Frank had been a god-send, by far one of Cory’s favourite people. The two of them would play for hours, have trips to the zoo, and do just about everything together…it was a well known fact that Cory loved “Unckie Fank”. It was a less-known fact that I was starting to love “Unckie Fank”. I didn’t want to have these feelings! I loved Bob, more than anything else. But there was something about Frank, something special, something different and exciting, something that I didn’t have with Bob. I shook the feeling away, suddenly noticing that I was staring at Frank…and that Bob was looking at me with concern.
Bob’s POV
Maria seemed distant, we no longer connected on the same level as before and I wanted to know why. I knew she loved me… she was so strong willed that she’d go if she didn’t. But I didn’t want to lose her, she was my love, my life, my world and my everything. Frank was great, Frank was like an older brother to Cory…but what really annoyed me was when he called me daddy and tried to hug me. Usually I’d push him away and then continue to do what I was before. Occasionally I’d push him away then hug Cory instead just to annoy Frank.
I looked over at Maria, my beautiful wife…but why was she staring at Frank?
