Username: SirBayer
Character Name: Bayer
Character age: Appears 32
Race: Three-quarters elvish, one quarter mortal. Shares qualities of elf but appearance of humans.
Physical Description: ((In retrospect, I really don’t like this picture – Bayer’s far too heavily built, and it’s got another character in there – but it’s all I’ve got at the moment, so I hope you won’t mind dealing with it.))
[Bayer]Bayer is a tall man, around 6’ 3”. He’s slight of build, remarkably so – he’s been known before as “Beanpole.” He’s got a sort of thin face, marked by brilliant, deep orange hair clipped just above his eyes and at about his jaw. Adorning his face is a beard and moustache, cleverly trimmed to give them the appearance of an upside-down tear-drop residing directly around his mouth. His eyes are extraordinarily deep blue and have a sort of mischievous glint.
His clothing is rather simple; it consists of a bright gold tunic (short sleeved) and loose, bright red pants. He also wears heavy leather boots, for reasons altogether too obvious. The sword he carries hangs off the lower loop of his belt, which is looped around his waist and hips twice, crossing at the right side.
Personality: Bayer is remarkably light-hearted, good-spirited, and imbecilic. The foolishness is just a front; really, he’s an experienced soldier with a heart of gold, but he’s not giving it away without a fight.
Back Story: Bayer’s childhood was unremarkable. His youthhood was unremarkable. For that matter, if you ask him, his adulthood was unremarkable. In reality, it’s a vaguely secretive story full of holes and the such. He was born in Diamond Town, uneventfully. After a few years of danger, he fled to the city of Ruby Peaks for a time (presumably where he learned his fire magic and bladesmanship), then fled to Crossroads. At around the age of twenty-one, he collected a band of perhaps one hundred friends, all soldiers or ex-soldiers. Once this was accomplished, they began to hire themselves out as mercenaries, although under Bayer’s leadership, who they would go out to was very limited.
They were hired by the army of the Lady Diandrel as she drove the Neomancer out of the Emerald Wood. Bayer, finding this to be a useful employment, decided to stay semi-permanently with the war-group she kept with her, and despite near-constant nagging about raises, he’s managed to stay in that position since.
Weapons of Choice: Bayer carries a hand-and-a-half blade, ominously dubbed “Bloodbane.” It’s absolutely blood-red, and reeks of some sort of ill magic. (You can see it in the appearance picture.) For back-up, he carries a dagger (oddly enough, the same exact color as Bloodbane, although it shares none of the former’s qualities) and uses substantial fire-manipulation abilities, perfected over the years. They consist mainly of the ability to create fire, change fire, and harden fire into an odd substance, tougher than many out there. He does this with surprising ease, given the fact he’s partially a mortal.
Familars: Not a one. It would probably kill him, if he had one.
