ohat, so, my fishy year we were martching The Four Scottish Dances and i was at the center of the form. this is sum realy upbeat music so we're high-steppin and junk, okay so i just happened to be surounded by all the 'cool' ::coughcrudecough:: upperclassmen (mostly trumpets) guys. So we'd martch out onto the field in a tight block and then spread out into diaganal lines. i just sat there and marked time. then our bd would have us rewind it. so everyone started closing in on poor little me (i was a naieve flute crying ). as the guys got closer (with me at attention) they'd start saying 'naked girl, hey, naked girl' oh i'd turn so red and had to bight my toung to keep from smiling (god forbid laughing) and breaking attention...this started when they noitced that i was figity when they got closer to me the first time, they deemed that i had some weird form of stage fright and told me to 'imagine the intire band in their underwear, but woops i got it wron and i was imagining myself naked instead'

I had the idea to hide the mouthpiece for the third chair trombone so he would get in trouble for not playing...
It worked. (That kid can be stupid sometimes)

duude. yu know how on some sheet music in a section it will say, "Beguine"? ohh man. so our band d. was reminding us that it was and hahah.. this is what he said.. and what it sounded like, "Don't forget it's a big weenie. Big weenie there. Okay? Da Capo. etc" hahahhahaa the few of us who got it were laughing so hard. And I couldn't even concentrate on playing especially when it got to that part.

Russ B Today at Summer Band, Mr. Cady (Guest BD) had everyone make name tags and place them on the stands. His said "Bryan" so I said Bryan in the most retarded voice possible. Best part was he said it back the same way. Then his exact words were this, "Russ, I want you to repeat after me...Do...You...Want...Fries...With...That?" xd Worst part is, I was laughing so hard I missed 3/4 of the Armed Forces Salute. As I was leaving, Mr Lenig (My school BD) was leaving and I yelled to him "Chadworth" in the same voice, and he turned around and asked me if I wanted a ride to McDonalds for work. xd AHHHH Armed forces Salute.....*runs and hides* god i hate that piece with a passion. Has anyone ever seen that old black and white movie what ever happened to baby jane? Its an old joan crawford movie where basically her sister, played by Betty Davis, is supposed to be taking care of her and um...ends up psychologically damaging her ...lol. Well, in orchestra rehearsal I used to imagine doing some of those things to the principal flutist...usually made me crack up lol.

I have a whole black-and-white movie going on in my head while I'm playing my solo, with the bad guy tying a woman to the train tracks and the hero coming and then the train leaving and all...

we played a piece called "Danse Bacchanale" last year in my high school band and there is a part that sounds really, like old, i wanna say middle eastern, and it reminded the whole band about belly dances... well.. the other senior trombone player was goofing around one day and he was like, "how funny would it be if one day i was to dress up like a belly dancer, come out of the instrument closet (it was behind the director's podiem and off to his left, the band's right) dancing while you guys were playing the piece!" we all thought it would be hilarious and that he should do it.. we all thought he would since he was the goof ball of the band... didn't happen... but it would have been... i mean come on.. it would have been a really white boy trying to belly dance to a piece that we were going to play for a concert! the people who heard the idea really didn't take the piece very seriously after that... xd
