Asami felt her stomach twist a little as she looked at the rabbit a little closer. "So... you just bite it? Thats it?" The little kit was completely lost on how to eat whole food. Slowly, she sat down and awaited her father to take a bite of the rabbit first before she tried to figure out how to eat the dead carcass laying in front of her. Asami couldn't help but wonder what her mother would think of her eating whole food. The kit shrugged a bit and looked up to her father.

He nodded. "You rip the fur off first, until you can see the pink-red fleshy mean and then you eat that part" he told her carefully so she would know. He didn't know what the had to tell her how to do it. Hopefully she would get it and he wouldn't have to show her. He smiled down at her. He was very proud of her. How couldn't he?

Whenever her father didn't take a bite out of the rabbit, she bent her head down and ripped at the fur. Quickly, Asami spit out the fur and looked at the pink-red flesh that her father had told her about. Was she supposed to eat the fur? If so, she didn't want to, since it only tasted like durt and grit. With a small gulp, Asami dipped her head down and bit into the side of the rabbit and tore the skin off of the dead carcass. After swallowing the little bit of meat, she made a disgusted face, then took another bite to get herself used to the taste. After a bit of taking bite after bite, Asami learned to love the taste of meat and she wanted more. "Can I try to get a rabbit this time?" She asked as her fluff tail wagged.

"You mean, next time." He gave a smile and a nod. "I think you would be ready to catch your own, but now you might regurgitated your food if you try to chase one." He said with a smile. At least she liked it alittle? Or maybe a lot. Once she learned to get her own, he wouldn't have to worry about feeding her. That'll be easy.

Asami's eyes lit up whenever her father said she could try to catch the rabbit for herself the next time. She took another small bite of the food and licked the blood off her maw. The little kit hated the bright red blood that was coming from the what used to be living animal. Before she got too full, Asami looked up to her father with a small smile on her face. "What else is there to eat?" She asked as her tail flicked from side to side.

He looked at her with a tilted head. What was she talking about, what else was there to eat. Wasn't she full? He sighed. "Well, there's berries around here somewhere." he said trying to remember where exactly it was. Berries sounded rather good too. He loved those the most, yet they didn't fill him up like meat did.

"Lets get some berries!" She said as she ran a circle around her father. Maybe she would learn something, like what berries not to eat and if there were secrets to finding the best tasting berries just by the look or smell. After Asami finished her circle around her father, she snuggled up against him. When she was done with the snuggling, she pushed him with her two front paws. "Lets go daddy!" The kit was more then excited to learn.

He was slightly afraid she would say that. He gave a sigh and just walked in a direction. They would find berries sooner or later. At least he knew some of them that they shouldn't eat. "Well, maybe we'll find some this way." he said with an uncertain voice.

Asami looked at the rabbit her father killed and walked over to it. Quietly, she grabbed it and tried her best to drag it with her as she followed her father in the direction he was walking. "Okay." She said in a muffled voice through the rabbit she was dragging. It wasn't good to just leave your kill for others to take, especially when you were still a little bit hungry.

He couldn't help but laugh at the little one as she pulled her rabbit with her. How cute it was. He smiled at her and continued to walk. It wouldn't take long. Or so he thought. He could smell a hint of berry flowers in the afternoon breeze. "It's this way, I think" He said still uncertain of where they were.
It would only take a mater of time before he would find them. He sniffed the air ever so often to find exactly where the smell was coming. It wasn't an easy job, but he could do it well.

Asami smiled at her father as she continued to lug the rabbit behind her by it's throat. Every now and then she would stop to rest then quickly grab the rabbit and pull it next to her. "Okay," The kit said again whenever she dropped the rabbit and took another break.
Whenever she noticed her father stop and sniff the air, she would drop the rabbit she was dragging and would hold her nose as high as it would go in the air just as he was doing. Maybe she could learn to find her own berries if she payed close enough attention to what her father was doing.

He watched her from the corner of his eyes. She was copying him. Not sure if that was because she wanted to be like him, or she was making fun of him. He held in a laugh before continuing his walking. Still stopping every once in awhile..
It only too another twenty minutes before he actually found a small bush of berries. Black ones they looked like. None of the poisonous ones. "Be careful when you try to eat these ones, they have thorns." He said as he moved closer to the bush.

Asami looked up to her father and smiled gently then continued to copy him. "I'm gonna be just like you when I'm grown up!" She said as he fluff tail continued to shake like it always did when Asami got excited, or was just pure happy.
After twenty minutes, Asami dropped her rabbit and happily trotted over to the side of her father. Her head swayed from side to side as she did so. "Okay." She said simply looking up to her father so that she would learn how to grab some berries without getting hurt.

He couldn't help but let out a laugh. "I'm sure you'll grow up better then I." He said with a wink. He didn't want her to be like him. She had a better life ahead of her then he had. "Now, the way you get these berries off, is to touch only the berries, not the green spiky part." He said as he lifted up a paw and popped off a berry sticking it in his mouth.

Asami watched her father and nodded her head at what he said. "Okay, I think I got it." She said sticking her paw in the little bush, and quickly pulling it out. Of course, she scratched herself on thorn just as her father had told her not to. "I'll get it this time." The kit said sticking her paw in the bush again and popping out a berry just as her father had done.
