It has been proved many times over that science can eventually in time explain all things. What great mysterys are left that science hasn't explained? Lets see, weather is solved, astronomy is solved, animals is solved, and medicine is solved. Science has offered up an explination for almost everything. It is up to people what they choose to believe. Science will eventually solve all mysteries. History has proved this time and time and time and time and time and time again.
Fear of...wait for it, drum roll please...fear of religion and the church. Once again, if religion had never been invented he wouldn't have been scared to publish his works and it would have become excepted fact roughly a century earlier that it did. We'd be a century further in unlocking the last mysteries of the universe.
As far as the Dinosaurs' skin color. If science makes time travel possible we will.
I never said religion keeps people from learning science (although in some cases it does, some kids will refuse to learn evolution because they don't even see it as a possiblity, creationism all the way) Religion slows sciences progression. We could have technology now that wont be avaliable for hundreds of years, if religion hadn't have been invented. I'm not nessicarly reffering to modern times, it isn't as bad as in history, but religon is still slowing down the process of science.

She lay down on the grass, Looking up at the sky, thinking, it’s all she can do. If she disappeared she would not be missed. She will be gone just like everyone else.
Getting up from the grass, she walks on the sand, looking outward towards the sea. She walks into the water high up above her knees.

Well obviously GOD created the chicken who ate the birdseed of life and was later punished and given the power, to procreate.
I believe that the Chicken came first due to evolution of another animals, and several different breedings. Then it made an egg.
@ MJ - I agree with you on the point of evolution, but you can't change someone's opinion on religion because science makes sense to you. Religion makes as much sense to them as science does to you.
As for the whole science explains everything: What other explanation is there? Just because it's the first accurate explanation doesn't mean that it is immediately correct.
I am a scientist, and believe in the sciences, and I'm not too religious, but I think that if I had the mind stance of a religious person, I would believe the same thing as have been said.
~~~♥~~~♥ Narc Lit ♥~~~♥~~~ The waves softly hit her legs. She looks at the sunset and its yellow-red hues she walks into the sea, farther and farther, opening her arms towards the wave. The water is high up to her hips. The wave comes towards her. She looks at the wave with her arms stretched out; the water starts to rage, the wave hits her body hard. Then the water calms down. The water recedes, then darkness falls, and all goes dark. The sun goes down and the day is done.
I wasn't saying that they should change their mind just because it makes sense to me. Nor was I saying that evolution is immediately correct. But the fact of the matter is that they offered up an accurate explaintion. That eventually, in time, science will explain all things.
obviously its the chicken... its because of evolution, everything starts out as a simple organism and slowly evolves. During the prehistoric ages is probably when the chicken started evolving. During its evolution, it had to get a way to reproduce, such as live birth or eggs. the chicken lays eggs as its offspring and the eggs become chicks who grow up to be chickens. i do not go by the bible on this subject, i go by science...sorry to those who are dissapointed in me...
vince_uematsu_143 Prince-Yuki-Ichigo nosh276 Well, I suppose the egg came first. Isn't it the current scientific belief that birds are the descendants of dinosaurs? Dinosaurs laid eggs. The first chicken would have had to come from an egg. Evolution. Woo. So then were did the dinosaur come from huh? Of course, an egg. You wouldn't answer "chicken" would you? ninja maybe
Is it stoopid in here...
The chicken came first of course. Just becuase we have a vision of a modern day chicken, doesn't mean one didn't already exist before the egg. Think about it, maybe a platapus might technically be a chicken o_O
...or is it just me?
Hmm, now all I have to say for all you people who think the egg came first, where's the rooster? And for all the chicken people, where's the egg that had to come from a rooster getting it on with a chicken. I hate this question. D:
The egg, Over time and through evolution single celled turned into multi celled and then into living breathing orgonizums that then laid an egg and became a chicken
