"Ohho! Your a little harsh aren't you! I was merely giving back to my family what they gave to me." She said,"Pain, suffering, hate." She hissed the last part.

Then she looked at the Kahjit. "And I don't think any measly dremora is going to finish me off anytime soon. And admit it. This base needs help. I can give help." She pointed out.

"Ready to fight? Do I honestly have a choice?" Kinas said, pulling out another vial of dremora blood and drinking it. "Besides, I wish to join my friend, Orgim, in the fight. It would be a disgrace to lay here while the others fight." As he tried to sit up, he passed out.

*****

"Haha! Thats the spirit! Now then, lets go end their time on this plane of existence!". Orgim charged directly into a group of dremora, hitting the shield of one, sending it flying into five others. When a group of Caitiffs surrounded him, he rushed forward and grabbed one by its neck and threw it into one that was charging at Orgim from behind. Orgim rammed his sword through the armor of another, and swung areound, hitting the others. Then he felt a sharp pain in his right shoulder, and as he looked back he got hit by another arrow in his knee. "Damn creatures...Drac'rad! I could use a little help here, archers caught me off guard, and now they have their sights set on me!". Orgim barely had enough time to raise his shield before ten arrows were embedded in it.

((Okay. There is one Dremora Valkynaz in this army. I'll control it just like I control my characters, and you're free to attack it just like you'd attack any Dremora. However, I warn you, you will probably lose. I'm imagining the Valkynaz as being extremely superior to our characters, capable of killing one of us just like we're killing the Dremora. Now, I won't kill one of your characters, but at the same time, I won't let the Valkynaz die unless I think it would actually happen.))

Drac'rad was not the one to answer Orgim's call for help, nor was it Grejori's Lich that killed the archers plaguing Orgim. Drac'rad raised his hand to cast a lightning spell to destroy the archers one-by-one, but before the bolt even left his hand, the area exploded in a burst of magical fury; flames, ice, and lightning tearing through the group of archers like parchment.

The explosion grew from that place, all three types of Destruction magic destroying all the enemies nearby instantly, and leaving the ones outside the immediate blast radius crippled. When the light cleared, Drac'rad's suspicions were confirmed.

Norid was standing in the center of a small, charred circle of ground, with only a few melted pieces of Dremora armor left around him to show that there had once been Daedra there. Several Dremora formed a circle around him, keeping their distance around the edge of the scorched ground Norid had created. Norid only laughed and began to kill the few Dremora who dared to attack him by firing bolts of lightning from his hands.

He made the mistake of not paying attention to his enemies. He didn't expect any Churl or Caitiff to be capable of avoiding his spells, and he was right; it was not a Churl of Caitiff, not even a Kynval or Kynreeve, that deflected one of his lightning bolts back at him. Drac'rad's yell of anger as Norid was blown into the air as one of his spells was reflected back at him warned the entire army of what exactly had been leading the army.

"Valkynaz Mage!" Drac'rad roared, "There's a Valkynaz in the army!"

Norid rose slowly, still not understanding what he was up against, and cast a poison spell at the Dremora advancing on him, covered in a robe embossed with a Daedric "V." The poison bounced off of the robe harmlessly, useless against the Mage's reflection spells. Norid jumped out of the way before it hit him, but the Mage rushed forward, pressed his hand against Norid's head, and began uttering an incantation...

...and was caught off-guard when Grejori's Lich threw a powerful bolt of lightning at it. The Valkynaz buckled, the spell having done a small amount of damage, but when the lightning bolt reflected off of its robe, the impact blew the Lich's skeletal body to pieces, and Grejori's summoned monster vanished.

"You want to help?" Grejori asked Nariel rhetorically, "Kill that creature!"

The Valkynaz returned its attention to Norid, but the Argonian had disappeared.

* * * * *

Mephala looked pitilessly at Kinas, wondering the best way to wake him. The Divines probably would have restored his health slowly, allowing him to rest and heal. Mephala cast a very minor lightning spell, incapable of even killing a small child, in an attempt to jolt Kinas back into awareness.

"Get up, Vampire. There is a Valkynaz present."
PostPosted: Tue Jul 24, 2007 11:40 pm

He jolted straight up."W-what!? Did you just say Valkynaz? Oh no...not good...not good...". Kinas jumped up and ran toward the battle, easily noticing the Valkynaz. "Great...just great....", he muttered to himself.

*****

Orgim was actually afraid. A Valkynaz Mage? Orgim knew that even he would be no match alone for the Valkynaz. He quickly ran over to Drac'rad, his knee bleeding the entire time. "Drac'rad...How are we supposed to beat that thing?".

Kinas found Orgim, noticing the blood leaking from his armor. "Orgim, A dremora actually wounded you?". Kinas placed his gloved hand on Orgim's knee, using the bit of Restoration magic he knew, and closed the wound.

"Ah, thank you my friend. I hope you are ready, we have a bit of a problem." Orgim said, rubbing his knee. "I have no choice, I wish to live, you know." Kinas said. He put his finger on the jewel of the ring on his right hand, and muttered a few words. After he finished the small incantation, Elven armor appeared over his robes, glowing with a bright silver sheen. "So then, Drac'rad, how are we supposed to take this thing down?" kinas asked, drawing the newly summoned Elven Long Sword.

((sorry Senisok the area of effect thing came from a Mod my friend sent to me and i'm sorry about my spelling and every thing))

Mannfred brought his hand up to his neck and a bright glow came from his hand and the wound on his neck was healed. Mannfred then turned around and he too saw the Valkynaz Mage and noticed that his magic wouldn’t work on him, as it seems every spell sent at him bounced off and back at the caster.

Mannfred from where he was couldn’t see any weapons on it but Churl in the path towards it that Mannfred was soon to create. The first Churl feel to the ground half of its head cut clean in half from the side and the wound froze solid from a Frost damage enchantment that came to his blade. The second fell with its upper body cut vertically in half and its armour rusted and weak from other enchantment from Mannfred’s rapier.

“Valkynaz!” Mannfred shouted stepping before it and aiming the tip of the rapier as he stood about four meters away from the Valkynaz “Lets see how powerful you really are” Mannfred shouted then grinned as he dashed for the Valkynaz and swung at the Dremora.

Lucifer was deep in the army of Dremora, and it was a slaughter. He threw fireballs, lightning, and shards of ice at the Dremora around him, and he cut threw the rest. He kept progressing at unbelievable speed further and further until he got behind the entire Dremora army. Lucifer turned just in time to block a hit from a Churl, and Lucifer shoved his sword through Churl's throat. He pulled his sword out, and threw an enormous ball of fire mixed with lightning into the army, sending a wave of fire and lightning that scorched and electrocuted all in it's path. Lucifer then ran through how he came, seeing how his path through the army was still intact. He occasionally threw a fireball, lightning, or ice to keep a Dremora away from him, but for the most part just ran back to the front of the army, where he saw a small force of people still fighting. Lucifer turned around and anchored his feet, and began killing more Dremora.

Nariel nodded and shot through the churl, making her way to the Valkynaz. She cut down the churl that got in her way quite quickly. Eventually she got close to the Valkynaz. From her cloack she produced 4 throwing knives. At the same time all 4 shot towards the Valkynaz. Nariel followed behind them. At the last second she jumped to the side and brought her dagger across to try and slash his side.

((No worries, Max.))

Norid's disembodied voice was the firs to respond to Kinas' question. He had cast a powerful chameleon spell over himself to flee from the Valkynaz, and was now standing nearby.

"It's a Valkynaz, Kinas. It's not going to be as easy as a plan. Thankfully, Dagon doesn't have enough of them to send more than with this army. We must eliminate the Churls and Caitiffs, whittle their numbers until there are few left. Then we can strike the Valkynaz. Why don't you have your bow, Drac'rad?"

Drac'rad answered bitterly, "The enchantment was broken. They must have cracked the glass in the helmet somewhere."

"And? Drac'rad, you didn't even get that Helmet until after your final journey with the Nerevarine! You've become too dependent on it!"

Drac'rad couldn't see where Norid was, so his voice was slightly louder than normal when he responded, "It wouldn't matter. Without that enchantment, I'm short-sighted. I'd have to take the helmet off, and that's not going to happen."

A bolt of lightning streaked out from Norid's hand, revealing his location even though he was cloaked. It hit Drac'rad in the back of the head, shattering his glass helmet to pieces, but leaving Drac'rad unharmed. Before the dust and debris cleared, however, a green light burst from Norid's hands again, and Drac'rad became translucent.

"That illusion spell will last several minutes! Now kill the damn Valkynaz!"

Drac'rad turned around and glared furiously at where he knew Norid was. If anyone who knew anything about Tamriellic History caught a glimpse of his face before he found another helmet, he'd have to explain his situation to the entire Camp. But at the same time, he saw Norid's logic; if anyone who was capable refused to fight their best, there wouldn't be a Camp after a few more minutes.

Drac'rad rushed back to get his bow and quiver, but he was stopped in his tracks when he saw Grejori, attempting to summon another Lich, struck by a fireball cast from the Valkynaz's hands. The Khajiit burst into flames and fell backward violently, unmoving. Drac'rad knew it before even Norid managed to see it. Grejori had been killed.

He rushed more quickly to get his weapons, intent of making sure no one else fell to the wrath of the powerful Dremora.

* * * * *

The Dremora deflected Nariel's attacks first, forcing the knives away from him by striking them with a weak lightning spell, which jumped to Nariel, an unavoidable spell that was bound to hit her. Nevertheless, he launched a powerful Disintegrate Weapon spell at her to make sure that she ceased to be a threat.

He then turned to see Mannfred charging at him with a swinging rapier, and let out a light chuckle, clearly not considering the Vampire to be a threat. The reason for that light attitude became clear when an amulet hanging around the Dremora's neck flashed, letting out a powerful burst of sunlight while the Dremora launched a stream of ice at Mannfred to finish him off.

"Where are the Divines?" The Dremora Valkynaz called out in a deep, cracked voice, "Where are the Daedra Lords? I'll face them all! I'll destroy all of you!"

* * * * *

All three Divines and all three Daedra Lords heard the challenge as though it had been yelled in their ears. Talos' hand flinched toward the claymore sheathed across his back, but he seemed to resist the impulse to join the fight. Boethia, however, seemed to lack that self control, and in a flash, a double-bladed Daedric axe was in his hands.

Azura attempted to stop him, "This is their fight, you know that. We can not join in!"

Boethia snarled out his response, "Then what did we come here for? To cheer them on while they die? All of you can stand back and watch this atrocity to occur, but Dagon went too far in this conquest. There is too much at stake for me to remain neutral!"

"Too much at stake?" Mephala laughed, "You mean Norid? Afraid of losing your most devout worshiper?"

"You can say that, Mephala," Boethia spat, "Yours was just killed by the Valkynaz. And Azura's precious apprentice will likely follow soon," Azura opened her mouth to speak, but Boethia cut her off, "I am going to fight. Stay here if you wish, but I will not."

Four of the remaining Deities seemed dumbstruck by Boethia's display, but one, Talos, seemed to smile as he followed Boethia toward the battlefield, drawing his shimmering adamantium claymore as he ran.

(( You can't cast an unavoidible attack. I'm just like xXxUnamed-memberxXx when it comes to that. I consider you a worthless noob if you ever do that no matter how good your RP skills. Everytime someone does those attacks I dodge them. I won't ever use them on you, I always leave room for you to dodge my attacks. I expect you all to do the same.))

Nariel dropped her daggers just before the lightning attack reached her. Then she quickly took them in her cloak which deflected most of the Desinigrate attack. But it got to her unenchanted blade. She cursed and threw it to the ground.

She dissappeared into the churls agian and came to the back of the Valkynaz. Once in place she brought her enchanted elven dagger and a kunai out, aiming for his back and his neck. Though the attack wouldn't do much it would hopefully distract the thing so the others could get in a few attacks.

Kinas quickly casted a detect life spell on him and Orgim. "Orgim, looks like we are fighting again, alongside each other. Reminds me of when we had to escape that Ayleid ruin so long ago.". "Ah, yes, I remember that. Vampires and dead Ayleids everywhere. I believe you still owe me a thousand septims from our bet there." Orgim said and slightly laughed, "But for now, we need to kill these bastards!" Orgim charged a group of churls, killing two instantly and sending the rest fleeing in terror. "Heh, just like the Orgim I used to know. I guess I better make sure he doesnt get himself killed." Kinas followed Orgim, throwing fireballs into groups of dremora, frying them nearly instantly.

((All right. I'm not going to take offense to that on account of the fact that I believe you misunderstood that part of my post, Hikaru. I will never break my own Thread Rules, and if I do, I expect everyone to tell me so that I can fix it. When I typed that, I was posting as though I was the Valkynaz, and the Valkynaz believed that it would be unavoidable. He's very pretentious, and thinks that his spells are infallible. However, I do see how poorly I worded that and so I understand what you're saying. I apologize.

Also, why do I get the feeling that the Unnamed Member is someone who I know very well?

Sorry for an entirely out-of-character post. I wanted to explain myself, but I'm gonna wait for Lucifer and Max to post before I do.))

Lucifer killed Churl after Churl, Caitiff after Caitiff, and grew tired of just slashing and smashing at them. He cast a powerful fireball at a nearby Caitiff and a wave of fire melted the Dremora's armor to them, searing their flesh. Lucifer ran a distance away and drank a restore magicka potion. He pulled out an extra bottle of restore magicka and casted more and more of powerful spells that each sent waves of destruction through the the army of Dremora, killing any they came into contact.

Mannfred let out a grunted scream as the sunlight blind him and burned away at his exposed flesh as he staggered back feeling the burning pain on his flesh as it smoked as Mannfred covered half of his face with his free hand.

Seconds later he heard and felt the chill in the air as the Dremora launched a stream of ice at him, Mannfred was luckly to dodge most of it in time but a spiked piece of ice piriced through Mannfred's protect enchantment around his shoulder and into his shoulder forcing him to the floor. And forcing him to drop his Rapier next to him, thanks to the guard of his rapier his left hand was fine as the guard blocked out the sun light but Mannfred found it hard to move his Left arm becuase the spiked was just inchs away from the shoulder joint.

((I would have gotten struck by the Dagger, Hikaru, but I don't know what enchantment it has on it, so I couldn't describe it...))

Boethia and Talos both charged into the fray at nearly the same time, and the sheer force of their initial attack seemed to ripple throughout the entire army, of which there were only about one hundred fifty Dremora remaining, most of them Caitiffs now that the weaker Churls had been eliminated. Boethia's axe seemed to tear gaps in the front lines while Talos' claymore did almost as well. Any archers who turned their bows on them were swiftly met with a quick demise from Norid's spells, making them practically invulnerable.

It became clear almost immediately that no Dremora Caitiff was going to be able to equal either of the incredible fighters in melee combat, so they quickly resorted to a more cowardly tactic, leading the two in the direction of their Valkynaz leader.

* * * * *

Drac'rad felt strange without the glass helmet covering his face, and it was only nervousness that kept him from hitting his marks. He kept wondering what would happen if the illusion wore off before the battle was done; what the soldiers would think of him, only to have their hopes shattered when they were told differently.

His arrows continued to miss, and the spells he placed on his arrows seemed weaker as he tripped over the incantations. Rather than kill their marks, they merely stunned them momentarily. He knew that Norid was probably right, and that the illusion spell would last as long as necessary, but the same though echoed throughout his mind as he continued to aim his shots badly:

What if it didn't?

* * * * *

The Valkynaz was dealing with several fights at once, now. Though he had apparently stopped Mannfred temporarily with the amulet, he failed to fully block Nariel's attacks, since he had expected her to already be dead or unconscious. Though he managed to jump out of range of the Elven Dagger, Nariel's kunai scratched his shoulder. It was a minor wound, however, and it did little more than anger the Valkynaz as he cast a spell that he was sure Nariel wouldn't survive. It took him only one second to cast it, which was easily enough time to begin fleeing. However, he doubted Nariel would do something like that.

He aimed the fire spell at his feet, knowing that the effect it would have would be devastating to everything around him. The explosion caused a minor tremor in the area as the flames expanded outward in every direction for ten feet. The heat scorched the ground, and even incinerated several nearby Churls.

The real problem, however, came when the spell reached the Valkynaz. It should have killed him. By all means, the power of that fireball could have destroyed a small building. But the Reflection spell that he had covering him deflected it, causing an unexpected shockwave that jumped from the initial blast radius for almost ten feet before it vanished.

Normally, he would have turned away to face another threat, but after Nariel had survived one of his attacks, he was taking no chances, and he stared through the smoke in the direction she had been.

Orgim was nearly killed if it wasnt for Kinas throwing him to the ground. "You know he is a mage, Orgim! Don't go rushing up. Heh, we're both lucky that we're alive.". They were just outside the blast radius, with the area still burning hot. "Damn...Kinas, we must get to him somehow. Think you could distract him?" Orgim asked, standing up. "I dont think I could...I'll try, just if I get killed, I'm going to kill you." Kinas answered while also standing up. "Haha! Always the sarcastic one, arent you? Well lets get busy then. That Valkynaz needs to die." Orgim said with a tone of seriousness mixed with exhilaration. Kinas sighed and moved to a spot directly behind the Valkynaz that was close to 12 feet away. He pulled out a welkynd stone and drained the power from it, then he summoned an dead Tsaesci Warrior. "Take the leader figure down!" Kinas commanded the Tsaesci Warrior. The Tsaesci Warrior started moving slowly towards the Valkynaz unwillingly.

((A Tsaesci is a Snake like being from the land of Akavir. You can read some information about them in the book Mysterious Akavir. Disaster at Ionith is the failed attempt of an invasion on Akavir. The first describes all 4 (or 5) races of Akavir.))
