yeah so tahts because there ever so rare and my mum said lets sell on ebay and i said wait a;little longer as we saw people seeling tyhem on there for 200-300 GBP for 2 so i though there wroth that amount now how much they worth in the furture i wonder

Various thoughts...

- Damn, that Jack=Boe thing came completely out of the blue! Excellent stuff.

- I suspect the "Bring Back Martha" campaign has already begun somewhere or other...

- The shooting of The Master had to have been planned beforehand - a "get-out clause". Dammit, they had to give the "Flash Gordon" movie the nod at the end...!

- Nice to hear another few old enemies get mentioned, particularly the Axons - I have "Claws Of Axos" on DVD; classic Pertwee, classic Delgado.

Season finale was a real mixed bag for me. I really liked the set up from 'Utopia' and 'Sound of Drums', up until six billion Toclefane showed up and killed off a chunk of the human population, and then I KNEW we'd get yet another cheap 'reset button' style ending. And sure enough, Jack blows up the paradox machine, and an entire year of genocide goes poof. What a waste of potential.

Gollum Doctor... wtf?! gonk That was so inane and pointless I can't fathom how anyone could have thought that would be cool. The "everyone think of the word 'Doctor' and he'll become a superpowerful angel of retribution" also didn't jive so well with me. Jack being the Face of Boe is also kind of hokey. I mean, sure it explains why FoB lived so long and knew about Professor Yana far into the future, but it's still sounds silly to me. ((well, at least Boe wasn't Rose... that would have been worse))

I also didn't like that they killed off the Master, because it means they'll have to use some stupid excuse for why he wasn't really dead when he inevitably returns. Though I guess that scene at the end was supposed to suggest that he might have had some sort of escape plan involving the ring, so I give them credit for leaving themselves an opening in advance.

What I did like was when the Master captured Martha and she revealed that it was all part of her (and the Doctor's plan). Because the whole idea of a gun in four parts that could kill a Time Lord permanently was really retarded, and so I was soooo happy that it was all just a ruse. And the look on the Master's face when he slowly realizes he's been had was priceless.

Also the Toclefane being the humans from the end of the universe was nice, if only because it brings some closure to that loose thread from 'Utopia'. And they did it to themselves, if I understand correctly... it's not like they were forced to lose their humanity by the Master or anything. Basically, they're like ball-shaped Cybermen with a nasty streak.

Where the hell was Theo during all this? The way he managed to escape capture last episode, I figured he'd actually turn up in this one to help his sister save the world somehow, but he ended up being a complete no-show.

Actually, I thought it was Mrs. Saxon (she also had red nail polish, IIRC). Sort of like it was some preconceived plan that if the Master got caught and there was no chance of escape, she'd kill him, he'd transfer his essence into the ring, and she'd go and retrieve it later to resurrect him.

Not that I mind it being the Rani. Though they'd have to come up with some sort of explanation as to how she managed to survive the Time War.

Good! But unfortunately not as good as the two previous episodes leading up to it, in my opinion.

things I liked:

The masters song number! Possibly one of the best bits of the episode I think.

Jack....FACE OF BOE?! gonk Biggest suprise I'd ever expect to hear in that episode. EVER.

Martha leaving.....not because I wanted her to leave(because I didnt)...I just didn't expect her to leave and I thought that was the strongest thing martha's done (from experience myself of unrequited love). So martha was awsome there.


Things I didn't like:

The re-winding of a year by shooting the paradox machine...I though that was abit lame =/

The doctor becoming young because lots of people said his name and such etc, etc.(very lame)

The gollum/dobby thing the doctor became...I think they could have made the doctor way more skeletal and gruesome if he was 900...but I guess its a childrens show too.
