It was then that Salindara and Lily burst above the cliff, the strange woman making a few lazy circles over the mountain before starting to drift to the ground, keen eyes on both the woman and the man. Her initial impulse was to gut the male attacking the female, but... he'd been trying to save the female now in her arms. It was all terribly confusing, and so she simply set down a ways away, keeping Lily from jumping into the fray only with great effort.

Arlen continued his assault against Crystal, but he could feel that his fire wouldn't last much longer. To make matters worse he couldn't seem to land a solid blow on the woman.

Crystal had regained her balance and though still on the defensive she was no longer stumbling away. Arlen wast faster than she was, that was certain, but she had more experience and could tell that he was wearing down quickly. Taking the opportunity when Arlen reversed the pattern of his strikes, she formed a long spike of ice and began swinging and thrusting at Arlen who was forced onto the defensive, evading each attack desperately.

Well... that settled it than. Salindara sighed, then set Lily down on the ground. "Stay there." she ordered gruffly, then stepped forward. Her wings snapped out, and she pressed her palms together before raising them heavenward. Then, when it seemed she might actually strike out and try to harm Crystal, she instead began to hum. Her kind had a certain affability with ice, and were very practiced in ice magics. She wasn't sure it would work, but she used that now in an attempt to weaken Crystal's attacks, shrink her ice spear; she could not hurt a female directly, but she could try to tip the scales to favor Arlen.

Salindara's aid was exactly what Arlen needed. The second Crystal noticed what had happened there was a brief moment of hesitation that Arlen took to firmly grab the giant icicle with one hand and strike Crystal's wrist with the other. Her grip broken, Arlen wrenched the weapon away and into a large spin to bring it around to bear against the side of Crystal's head. Almost simultaneously, Crystal dropped to the ground out cold, the fading ice dropped from Arlen's hands, quickly sublimating, and Arlen dropped to his knees, the Crimson Blaze dispersing.

Lily, still in manacles, instantly struggled to her feet, going to him as quickly as she could, falling to her knees beside him. "Are you... alright?" she asked him softly, bringing both of her hands to rest on his cheeks, searching his eyes.

Salindara arched a brow, then rolled her eyes, turning away. Honestly... groundwalkers were such silly things. She didn't understand this need they seemed to have for those of the opposite gender. Occasionally, she glanced over her shoulder, trying to see if the mushy stuff was over yet, remaining silent.

"Just tired," Arlen replied, smiling widely and wrapping his arms around Lily. "I'm so sorry for what I put you through."

"You didn't put me through anything." Lily whispered in return, fairly collapsing against his chest, tears in her eyes, ears limp with pleasure that he was okay. "It wasn't your fault... I'm just so glad that you're not hurt, or d-d-dead."

Arlen rubbed Lily's back and kissed the top of her head. "It's alright, Lily," he said softly. "I don't want to sound cold, but could we hold the tears until we get home?"

Lily blinked, then sniffled and nodded, pulling back. "Yeah... sorry." she murmured, then got to her feet, again having some difficulty because of the manacles. "Um... what about..." she indicated Crystal with her head, watching him curiously.

"You should kill her." Salindara announced suddenly, turning back to them, arms crossed over her chest. "If you do not, no good will come from it."

"Oh those," Arlen said, shaking his head as his eyes rested on the manacles. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a small key and set about unlocking them. "She's coming with us," he said to both of them, looking up into Lily's eyes. "I'll explain when we get home."

"Fine." Lily answered, though her voice was a little tight. She didn't agree with the new woman, but... she definitely didn't want Crystal anywhere near. "Then can we get going? Because I don't really like it up here. Are you..." she turned to Salindara, brow knit in a perplexed frown. "I mean... would you like to come too? You did save my life, whoever you are. Can she come, Arlen?"

"It's fine with me," Arlen said, standing and walking over to Crystal. "But it's not exactly my decision," he said, slinging one of her arms over his shoulder and lifting her off the ground.

Lily looked away from him as he picked up Crystal, jaw locked, a kind of quiet anger in her eyes. Then she turned her attention to the other woman, and tried to smile. "Well then... how about it?"

She paused a moment, thinking, then nodded. "Yes, I think I will. I wish to understand better where the world is, since I have been asleep for so long. I am Salindara, and I am at your service." she finished with a courtly bow, then walked closer to Lily, standing rather protectively at her side. "Lead the way, and I will follow."

"Nice to meet you," Arlen said, carrying Crystal with some difficulty. "But like I said, it's not my decision on whether you come," he added looking up to the path that led down the mountain.

"It's fine with me," Tynan said impatiently as he came into view. "I would like to get this over with soon though."

Salindara, eyes flashing, was about to inform both of them that she would be stopped by no mere male from coming with them, but relented on seeing the look on Lily's face. The girl was under enough stress already... "Then let us go. She is cold, and tired." Nodding firmly, she gently took Lily's arm, guiding her over to the two males.
