It isn't really a fantasy novel by any means, but Spook by Mary Roach is full of little gems. Like this one:
"I'm the only person I can find who so far believes they have no mediumistic abilities. I am very much out of my element here. There are moments, litening to the converstions going on around me, when I feel I am going to lose my mind. Earlier today, I heard someone use the words, 'I felt at one with the divine source of creation.' Mary Roach on a conducted tour of Hades. I had to fight back the urge to push back my chair and start screaming: STAND BACK! ALL OF YOU! I'VE GOT AN ARTHUR FINDLAY BOX CUTTER! Instead, I quietly excused myself and went to the bar, to commune with spirits I know how to relate to." (page 177)

I'm a HUGE Tolkien fan, here's a few of my favorite LotR quotes.
'The road goes ever on and on down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone, and I must fallow, if I can, pursuing it with weary feet, until it joins some larger way, where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.'
Bilbo, Fellowship of the Ring, chapter 3
'Seek for the Sword that was broken: In Imladris is dwells; There shall be counsels taken Stronger the Morgul-spells. There shall be a token That doom is near at hand, For Isildur's Bane shall waken, And the Halfling forth shall stand.'
Boromir, Fellowship of the Ring, chapter 13
'All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old man that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadow shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken: The crownless again shall be king.'
Bilbo, Fellowship of the Ring, chapter 13
I'll delve into the other two books later for more.

I liked Luis' rant about rats in Valiant by Holly Black. I'm too lazy to type the whole thing out, though. Maybe later.

ForbalaTheGreen i never got far in the book "the princess bride", but there are a lot of direct quotes from the book in the movie. my favourites are "my name is inigo montoya. you killed my father. prepare to die" and "true love is the greatest thing in the world, except than a nice MLT--mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwhich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe" i love that movie 3nodding heh lol i don't remember the book that much but I remember the movie... "Inconceivable!"
