A none-too-amused look was given to Terasu as he laughed. Charity stood up and padded back towards him, although making sure to stay out of arm's reach this time. She also gave her fur a brief shake, sending water droplets flying which was followed by an indignant snort. "Oh really? You might lose a few toes if you try that again." Her voice deadpanned once again as if she was completely serious.

The look went ignored and the water droplets shielded from his face. Said drops clung to his feathers, highlighting the bright colors. Once the little rain shower ended, he glanced back up to the flat toned femme. "Is that so? I'll keep that in mind." He gave a lopsided grin before it fell in quiet pondering. Green eyes meet gold. "You know, you're not at all what I expected. Atleast when you finally put down your harsh front." It was both a discovery and a compliment.

"You do that" she said with a slight huff. That's right... the nerve of pushing her in the water like that when he knew she didn't know how to swim! Puh.
However, his next words caught her off guard and for a momnet, Charity looked taken aback. She's didn't really know what to say to that, or how to take it. "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked quietly, looking somewhat confused as to why he'd be saying that.

A grin and a shake of his head. "Oh I will." He made it a goal to always avoid conflict, when insteady it could be something enjoyed.
Her stunned silence made him pause, and her confused look shocked him. He thought for sure she'd understand, or snap back in some form of denial. He tilted his head with a kind grin. "Well.....like how I was on guard. 'Cept my way is more hesitant. Even so, I'm open for whatever comes." Even if they were difficult or confusing. "Your guard is just on the harsher side by going on the offense." Sure it was good to be strong and hold your ground. But not when it turns to cockiness. "Like now, you're much more laid back. It makes......hanging out alot easier. You know?"

She listened quietly, and soon her smirk returned. "Whatever comes? Are you sure you're prepared for anything?" she asked with a voice that sounded like there was some sort of ulterior meaning behind it.
The green haired femme padded up to him, brushing her side against Terasu's in a flirtacious manner. "I can be laid back" she said in a husky tone, maw splitting in a seductive grin. He can interpret that as he likes. Tails brushing against legs with a feather light touch.

A slight hesitance at her smirk and toned voice. Still, he nodded in resolute decision. "I'm pretty sure I can handle things. Thank you very much." Sure he was still young, but he had an attitude and skill combined to give him a fighting chance.
He shivered tensely and flushed at her obvious body language. Why must she always find a way to be so flirty? Especially when Terasu was on thin ice about such ideas in general. Look what happened to Ed just because of feelings. He coughed into his pa at her comment. "I can see that..."

*dies at Terasu* He so set himself up with that laid back comment. XDDD
Ah yes... what happened to Ed. Well that situation was a bit different with the love triangle and all, but his hesitation could certianly be understood. Doesn't meant that would hold Charity back though... flirtation seemed to be another one of her talents. You'd think that she was Lust's daughter as well.
An amused laught coming from Charity as Terasu seemed to catch the double meaning of her words. She paused, looking amber eyes set on Terasu's own gaze, "But, can you handle being seen with the daughter of a homunculus?" Seemed that she was still testing him as well.

I just gotta mess with my boy. XDD
Ears flitted back as tails tickled his legs, and he used his own tails to weigh ontop of hers. Her laugh confirmed his thoughts, even if they were obvious with her blunt actions. Still, it left him in quite a spot that didn't really call on survival instincts. Like he had been using thus far. What the femme was implying was something totally different. The flush remained and he diverted his eyes. "Heh, now there is a difficult question. I'm being seen with you now, aren't I?" Especially if his nose was correct, andhis mother was indeed nearby....

Charity hadn't thought there was anyone around, until that last comment he made. She'd not been paying much attention, but there it was... the scent of someone else. It was vaguely familiar, and not dissimilar to Terasu's she put two and two together, and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to test him some more.
"I suppose that's true" she replied, chest rumbling with a sultry purr. Charity dipped her head to rub up against Terasu's ruff and neck and eventually lightly pressed her head under his chin, leaning lighty against his chest. What would clearly be interpreted as an affectionate display. Her teeth aiming to catch one of his ears gently.

Eyes scanned around for the scent he knew, not seeing his mother just yet. His body was stiff, if not for slight tremors, as Charity leaned against him. Of course such actions felt nice, Terasu was a boy after all. But he had heard enough of such feelings gone wrong, and didn't want to fall in that same grouping. A brow raised, but he otherwise left the other to her motions. "Oh? And here I thought you weren't the affectionate type." A mind game or not, it was giving Terasu a difficult time thinking things through. "Of course, you know there is a line crossing friendship...." She wasn't stupid, and most likely, was knowingly skipping about that line.

Again she was amused at his comment about crossing the friendship line when he wasn't making any move to step away from her and her actions. Puh. XD "It doesn't look like you're complaining" she said with a teasing not to her voice.
"I can be affectionate... but mostly around my family." He was actually the sole exception outside of her family that she had been affectionate towards... not counting that incident where she kissed Edward when pretending to be Lilianna.

His maw twitched, finding her statement true. And if he was to pull back? How was one to do that without insulting the other and beginning an arguement? He shrugged absentmindedly. "I'm not a complainer. I'm merely telling you." To hear affection even survived in her family was a surprising detail to the male. It must have come from the mother, and somehow been accepted in the offspring. Most likely a tough display of affection.
Ears pricked forward and he turned his head to the left. Ahh, here's a situation most unexpected. Especially when he was the one trying to keep the peace. "Just....don't be difficult. Please." He kept his voice low before going silent.
Pale paws moved the adult femme to the lake, having heard far off voices located there. One of her son that she was currently searching for. An opening soon came to view, as well as the two kitsus sitting beside the water. Setsumi slowed and stopped her steps at the edge of the trees. An expressionless gaze went between Terasu and the other. How could she forget the green-haired kit? The fiesty Charity.... "What do we have here?"

Aw well... this was just Charity's way. He could either accept or... well... he was sure to remember the expression she gave earlier. "Good.. I don't like complainers" she said back, staying as she was leaning against him and her head beneath his. She felt oddly... comfortable in that position. Huh.
His low words were picked up, but she said nothing in return. Amber eyes eventually falling upon Terasu's own mother...the one who had talked dirty about her father. Charity gave Setsumi an even, emotionless stare... neither hostile nor friendly.
"We were just discussing how to be 'laid back'" she replied, a coy smirk tugging at her lips. He told her not to be difficult... he never said she couldn't be funny.

With Charity this close, he was sure he could hear his nervous heartbeat. Things wouldn't be so nerve wracking, had not all the past events ever happened. And Terasu felt as if he was the only one willing to try to get over such facts. Or at least, that's how he interpreted others felt. His mother's quiet posture though left him guessing. Tails twitched in anticipation, remaining speechless as Charity spoke up. He just hoped things stayed civilized.
Setsumi raised a brow to Charity, not knowing what to think of that. Nor did she know why or how Terasu had come to meet the other. Shoulders flexed, and Setsumispoke skeptically. "Is that so? How interesting, Charity. To hear you having a casual encounter." Eyes turned to Terasu questioningly. "Everything alright here?"

She could feel Terasu's tension, but made no inclination to move at the moment. However, Setsumi's sarcastic comment caused Charity to narrow her eyes a bit and wrinkle her nose. A faint snort being given in reply, along with a muted glare. She said nothing though, literally biting down on her tongue to keep from lashing out with a harsh comeback. However, Charity could only display so much patience. That wasn't the virtue she was named after.
