Kibo's ears perked up, praying that this was just some ploy to get her free, and not an actual deal. Meanwhile, he looks down at the tentacle, and chuckles.
Kibo: I expected better from you, Captain. After all the time you spent spying on me, you don't realize I have control over spiritual beings?
Kibo, his arms still bound by the tentacle, touches his right hand to his thigh. Immediately, a spirit orb appears, floating into the tentacle, and causing it to change color, to a light translucent brown.
Kibo: Let me down.
The tentacle releases Kibo, and he falls to the ground, landing on his feet. He points to Michael, and the tentacle lashes towards him.
Kibo: If you die from this, I'll be very disappointed.

*Michael stand still as the tenticle lunges towards him. Michael removes the black book from his pocket and the etched symbol on the wall fades, with it the tenticles shrivle and die.*
Michael: I am glad to hear you've come around, Ms. Storm. As for you Mr. Botch, unless you have any formal buisness to conduct aboard my ship i must ask you to leave. And take that with you.
*Michael points to the body of Victor.*
Michael: You cursed him, i believe he's yours now.

Kibo: Actually, I have every right to be here. Until a formal agreement is met, I am still Storm's commanding officer, and still have a right to be present for this.

Michael: Very well then. Ms. Storm, let's hear these conditions of yours. But, before we begin...
*Michael stomps his boot on the floor and acrewman rushes into the room. Michael points to the body of Victor.*
Michael: Dump it overboard.
*The crewman knows better than to question direct orders, so he hauls the body out of the room and tosses it over the side of the ship.*
Michael: Now, Back to buisness...

Storm stood up and brushed herself off from where she'd been dumped onto the deck when the tentacles were dismissed.
"It's actually two, now that I think of it. I've heard nasty rumors that if a captain signs the book, her and all she commands are tied. Well, rumors have been known to have whole plants of truth embedded in them. If the rumor be true, I want them free of any obligations I, knowingling, attach myself to."
She glanced at Kibo, begging him to trust her before looking back at Michael.
"And I want Kibo and his assets to be absolved of any crimes he's done against you as well as any personal slights to you or your crew. And this pretty ship."
Storm grinned and ran a hand along the edge of his cabin.
"So basically, I trade my soul for his freedom and pardon. Do we have an arrangement, Ship Master?"

*Michael brought the book out of his pocket and flipped through it.*
Michael: So let me get this straight, I get your soul and in return your crew goes free and Kibo and i become good friends. Do I have that correct?
*Michael stops at a page and holds the book before storm revealing a list of names.*
Michael: We have a bit of a problem then, you see one cannot just sign their name, a whole ship must be offered up. By signing your name you commit yourself to being captain of that ship for all eternity under my command. If you want your crew to be safe you will have to dismiss them from your command.
*Michael flips the book to a blank page and removes a pen from his pocket.*
Michael: I accept your terms, care to sign?

With a finall glance at Kibo, Storm took the pen. She paused, just before she was about ot sign and murmmured something that not even Michael standing right next to her could here. Her signature was sloppy and barely eligable, not something one would expect from such a well spoken and obveously gentle-born women.
Storm smiled sweetly at Michael and looked around in feigned anger.
"You have my ship and me and I don't even get a lousy gift basket? Really, sir, you need to step it up a little."
She turned to Kibo and proffered her elbow to him.
"Now that I've sold "my" soul, shall we go?"

*Michael retreives the book and looks at Storm's signature.*
Michael: Well I suppose it's the best i can expect from a pirate, eh?
*Michael walks over to Kibo and extends his hand.*
Michael: As a man of my word I will make good on our deal, what say you Mr. Botch? Care to forgive and forget?

Storm smiled sadly but just a hint of excitment underyling it.
"I do belive he is an adventurere. Or was. A hero of quite some status, if the tales hold true. I never met him personally, but I love the name. Storm Silverwind."
She rolled the name around her mouth like it was some delicay.

Storm blinked innocently.
"Why, Storm Silverwind. The man who's soul you just bought. My...namesake, as you might call him."
She had a dreamy look in her eye.
"Zia and Maida met him one day and they wouldn't be quiet about him for years. I've always wanted to met him but, alas, kismet had him other plans for him."

*Michael's face turned pale as he clutched the book, the seas outside grew fierce.*
Michael: Ms. Storm, please tell me this si a joke, for your sake please tell me you were not foolish enough to sign some one else's name to this book!

Storm looked at the book again, even though it was closed. She managed to look shocked and somehow alarmed.
"Well it's not my name and it's not my signature. Really, sir, I am suprised you let your personal opionion get in the way of what is right in front of you. Do I look like one who's barely litereate?"
She spoke a word of power and devensive runes appered all over her body, stopping just below the head and the palms. They all glowed in response to the growing danger, making those hidden by her clothes faintly visible, even if Storm was stubbornly holding her cool.

Michael: I did not honestly believe that this was your true signature, but i thought at least it would be your name! Do you have any idea what you've done!? clearly you are no stranger to magical arts did you NOT think your actions would have some sort of CONSEQUENCE!
*Lightning strikes the sea visible from the window in Michael's office.*
Michael: I wanted to settle our buisness ourselves, if you did not want to sign your name you could have said so! But now...
*A ghostly ship crashed through the waves and appears in the mist of the storm. Michael does not move and is not surprised by the ships sudden appearence.*
Michael: ... You've dragged him into this.

Storm shrugged.
"I was experimenting and it turns out, I can't trick the devil. Who knew?"
She smiled.
"Besides, I am well enough off to face him. He gets his soul, Kibo gets his pardon and finally follows my order of makeing nice with you and I get to walk away. We all win, here. Most of the time, it is only me and possible one other wins."
Something occured to her just then.
"And did I not say when we first met that I was a monger of names? They are just colourful manteles to be drapped upon oneself. They provided protection and are actually really interesting to choose."
