Imo tilted his head to the side in slight confusion at the mage's question. "Does it?" he asked, wondering.
He was saved from elaborating by the drow's next line. "And I am Imolaured... but you can call me Imo if you like." Imo was still too young to have earned a second name in the dragon clans. He bent his head and nudged her extended hand with his snout; after a second he twisted so that the ridge along the top of his head was underneath her hand. "Scratch, please? It itches."
For some reason, Imo had taken a liking to the drow much more easily than to the human. Granted, he had only vague notions of how dangerous drow were to inexperienced dragons left over from his childhood tales, so his mind was unprejudiced to start.

((I think you meant 'by' instead of 'but'. Blah, this is short. I have homework.))
Yolanda smiled and shook her head.
"Nevermind," she said, smiling, "My name is Yolanda, pleasure to meet you both." Hearing the request, she reached up with her staff and gave it a quick rub along his back, peeling off scales as she did so.
Now, she was positive that this dragon did not wish to tell of his past. However, she didn't really want to push him into telling. These things came slowly and the mage wasn't sure if she wanted to get involved with 'such things'.

She had just moved her hand to scratch as the mage used her metalic staff to itch the spot specified. The drow just chuckled though as the dragon pressed his head against her palm. It seemed that greetings were different among dragons as well.
"Well I don't know about you two, but if I was caught here in the alley, someone might be curious as to why I'm here.."
All business again, she pulled up her hood with a furtive glance at the alley's entrances before looking back at the two, her eyes no longer held an anxiousness to them. Instead, it was replaced by a hope and warmth that gave her a good feeling.

((You repeated the word 'here' twice in the same sentence. Umm... Quote: All business again, she pulled up her hood with a furtive glance at the alley's entrances before looking back at the two, her eyes no longer held an anxiousness to them. I think that's a little awkward for one sentence...)) Yolanda removed the staff, a few scales hanging off of it awkwardly. "Well, I was heading to the Potions market," she replied, remembering why she was here in the first place, "When I was...interrupted." Well, she had been heading for the potions store, but when a dragon was blocking your way, you didn't get too far. What would her siblings think when she told them about meeting a dragon outcast? Her youngest sister was only 12 now. Would she return home before she too embarked on her own quest?

(( "as to why I was here" I think... It would make the tenses consistent. And yes, I did type 'but' for 'by' earlier... fixed it, though.))
Imo stretched, almost catlike, as the two itched all the good spots; he shook himself slightly afterward, dislodging the newly-loosened scales.
"Would they? Whyever for? You're a nice person..." he commented absently. After a few seconds the more practical side of his mind kicked him, reminding him of the dangers. "Oh..." he added softly, in response to his own question. "Well, I guess we'd better get going then. Where to?"
The torchlight from the nearby buildings lit up the area they were in fairly decently, but twenty feet back into the forest it was almost completely pitch black--at least to any human eyes.

((You spelled 'softly' incorrectly, although it's probably just a typo. Quote: at least to any human eyes. Just to make the flow a bit better. It's not a big deal)) Yolanda pondered the thought for a moment. "I have a home in the Mages district. We could stay there until it is decided on what to do next," the mage spoke with a steady voice. She was being generous, even though she often welcomed strangers into her home, mostly ones that needed help of some sort. At this point in her life, Yolanda's main goal was to support those in need. The mages district was like none other. The houses all hid some magickal secret. Rare creatures roamed the streets and the section itself seemed to be sparkling, even in the darkness. To a magick user, the area radiated strong energy. Yolanda's home was no exception.

(( Quote: She was being generous, even though she often welcomed strangers into her home, mostly ones that needed help of some sort. This just sounded kinda...odd to me. Like it didn't flow so well. And as well as talking about the mage district, did we start traveling there already? 0.o)) Chuckling at the young wyrm's comment, Lasha's thin eyebrows arched in slight surprise.
"That is doubly kind of you Mistress, are you sure I am welcome to come? I could sleep outside the city walls if need be.."
She wasn't quite sure if she was on first name terms with this woman yet... though she seemed to be getting friendlier by the minute. Lashantha was also starting to drop her faquade of cold sarcasim and warming up to both. The dragon she felt close to after the first few scentences, but the mage was a different story, as if she was testing the ground before giving way to hospitality.
The drow decided this, humans were confusing.

(( Quote: The drow decided this : humans were confusing. Try that, I think it will just make it a bit more clear...)) Smiling inwardly, she nodded. "Of course. It seems like you're not exactly welcome here, are you?" Judging by what she had heard from others, the Drow were not a race that you would often see on the surface. The mage was curious to know why this one was different. She turned her head and regarded Imo with interest. "You're welcome to join me," she added. What an unusual situation...a Northern dragon outcast and a Drow in the house of a human mage of winds. Unusual indeed...

((Eh, nothin' glaring at me))
"Will I fit?" Imo said in some doubt, moving to stand on all four legs. "Like through the doorway, I mean?" His voice rose as he spoke, slightly comical. Thinking carefully over the subject, he ambled into the street next to the women and relaxed into a seated position again, with his tail curled around so as not to get in the way of passerby. Not that there were any passerby; currently the street was still deserted.
"Maybe I could stay on the roof or something if I can't get in..." he said softly, more to himself than to the others, whom he appeared to have forgotten about. At the moment it didn't matter, as they didn't appear to be moving anywhere fast.
((Should we bring in some angry townspeople or something to shake things up a bit?))

((Sure, if you like. I can chase them off at the gate of the Mages District))
"Of course," she answered with a bemused grin. Her house would be able to hold a dragon of his size. A full grown one, however, would be beyond even her skills.
"My house is...large," she added, beginning to walk towards her district. It was on the other side of town from where they were standing. Yolanda and Lasha wouldn't look too unusual walking down the street, but accompanied by a dragon...
This was going to draw some stares.
((Splah...sorry, it's really short. My brain is dead...))

Nodding once, she left the darkness of the alley and began to walk along-side Yolanda. Looking back only once and making a guesture with her hand for Ino to hurry, Lasha checked her hood once before settling into an easy, but fluid, gait. Her smooth steps marked how easy the dark female could turn that idle step into a flurry of motion. One slender hand was placed on her hip, where her dagger lay in it's inked leather sheath.
All that was seen of it at the moment was the hilt and crossbars, which were facinating since the hilt seemed to be made of two golden snakes slithering their way up it, and the crossbars were two shining, yellow viper heads, sparkling emeralds placed in their eyes seemed to give them life.
'This place makes me uneasy, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a roof over my head for one night.' Was what went through Lashantha's mind.

((*Smacks Light* You put an apostrophe in a possesive 'its' again! Bad Light!
also: phrasing: "sparkling emeralds seeming to give them life."
and I would say: 'This place makes me uneasy, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a roof over my head for one night,' went through Lashantha's mind.))
Imo followed the women a few steps behind them at Lasha's beckoning, his head held low to help hide his prescence in the street. Not that the technique worked very well; even infant dragons were hard to hide behind slight humanoids. Anxiously Imo glanced from side to side as he moved; he'd only ventured into the open streets once, and that'd been five years ago; due to the disaster that had followed he'd never tried again.
A few humans appeared at the opposite end of the street as they rounded a corner; inwardly Imo cringed and tried to disappear. Despite having such short lives, humans' memories seemed to last ages; most of the hostility he recieved from them seemed to stem from a hatred left over from when the Northern dragons had ransacked this area five centuries ago. In reality, they'd been searching for a human who'd stolen one of their treasures, but few of the humans had understood that when faced with their dragon-ravaged shops and homes.
((I try... soo much to do, soo little time...))
