What if I dragged him online so that he could in fact verify that this is what he agreed to?

I'm basing my objection on something both FARGORE and GC13 told me when I first joined the Guild. They both expressed a certain "dissatisfaction" with the idea of contacting inactive members and asking for their stuff. Ultimately, everyone would have the opportunity to earn what those who played before had earned; it was just a matter of time. As such, I have accepted a higher standard for such considerations, and stand firmly opposed to any active character taking advantage of prior associations. I consider this particular act to be unbalancing toward the active guild members as a whole; there is no way to ensure that everyone gets a fair share. Therefor, I object.

I have to say I agree with Fury. Nothing against you Gerbo, but it just seems a tad excessive. One or two items, perhaps, but 16? Even without the other reasons, that's a touch excessive.
Besides - swearing off forums forever? Won't be coming back ever again? I don't think even he can make that guarantee. I think it's best to leave the character intact and let it "die" as it is.

ok then, I can agree to that.
that does seem to be fair, and dispite my need to aquire as much stuff as possible, I will comply with the wishes of the higher DM's.
Though I will get what I want! Now it will just have to be through other means then...
And Fury, thanks for explaining that, that had alot more effectiveness the "I object." biggrin
