Some fanfiction I was reading said something about Light being younger than Matsuda and I went "...lolwhut?" before realizing, of course Matsuda's older... Light's in college in the beginning and Matsuda's in the police... But really, he does seem pretty young, but I'd guess he's probably in his early 30s or late 20s... eek

In my head I think Matsuda is around 32. He just seems like that age to me.
Anyways, Matsuda makes everything wonderful and funny. You have to respect the guy for that. He's so very positive.

He's about 26-27 at the beginning. After the time jump he's in his early thirties.

Matsuda, in the beginning, is great comic relief. heart But he really is a great cop.

Against Nature's silence, I use actionMatsuda's one of the few characters in Death Note that are actually just normal human beings and he has an innocent endearing quality, too. And I also think he's there for comic relief purposes, too, in the midst of the "OMG SERIOUSLY DEPRESSING UNDERTONES" of Death Note. And what he lacks in intelligence, he makes up for in courage. So yeah, I guess I like Matsuda. ^^ In the vast indifference, I invent a meaning

I love Matsuda, he's just plain awesome. He is intelligent, of course, he's in the NPA and the chief trusts him, he just doesn't have supergenius level. Besides, remember how he thought of the fact there was evidence?
He also always honest, brave, but I don't think he should be with Sayu. Sayu's what, 18/19? Matuda's 32?
And Groovin Magic, thanks for being a ******** retard, next time ******** white out spoilers, captain dumbass.

Kazuma_uzumaki Groovin Magic He shouldn't of ******** shot light. yeah light is a piece of s**t but he shouldn't of shot him, I cried my eyes out when light was running down the street remembering when he was still a normal kid and I was thinking it's all matsuda's fault lighto is gonna dies and it made me dislike his character even more. they should have just let him go to jail or whatever. please dont spoil the anime at least white it out Don't give a ********.
