Slow, methodical footsteps. That was all that preceeded the veritable shell of a man, derived from a demon and a firebird, given a form twisted inside, but appealing to the flesh otherwise. Had it been a half a year? Maybe even a full one gone by? Regardless, this man was one whom even a blazing mind could not easily forget, though he had never touched the flesh himself. Acting through another always left some dissatisfied. Perhaps that could be rectified.

Vince, for the most part, seemed oblivious. He continued to stare off at the sunset, tracing his fingers over the inseem of his jeans, past a small tear, which he hadn't had time to fix. Out of the blue, he spoke. "Gonna push me off the ledge?"

Mindblaze smirked, "Hardly dear boy, much too messy a way to kill someone anyhow. Besides, wouldn't I have done it by now, or worse?" He stopped only a few feet behind him, gesturing towards the ground next to him, "Would you mind if I sat down? I promise not to bite. Much."

"Go ahead." He spoke simply, motioning to the spot as well. Other than that, he remained motionless. The only thing moving was his chest, rising up, then down.

Mindblaze gently let his form fall to the roof, not sitting directly next to Vince, but close enough for the moment. He leaned back, his arms supporting him as his head fell back to watch the stars begin to prevail over the diminishing influence of the sun. For once in his presense there was no death and destruction, no pwn, simply the sunset and the stars far beyond, "Why? I don't know what I've done to you and yours, but by what I've heard, it wasn't pleasant. So then why the calm?"

"You're someone." He said, rather simply, pulling the cigarette from his lips to toss it out over the ledge. "You're someone, who, for once, came to me." It was a rather blunt statement, in itself.

Mindblaze started to speak, and then stopped. He let his gaze fall upon the other man, "You say that as if anyone and everyone regards you as some sort of outcast." He subconsciously scooted a bit closer, "I find it hard to believe I'm the only person to give you so much as the time of day."

"Shut up, you were doing well before." He chuckled, looking down towards the ground. "I ain't that popular.... by the way, what time of day is it?"

Mindblaze's eyes turned back to the sky, "I'd say its about s...oh." He glanced back to Vince with a sly smile, "I'd say its the time of day to watch a setting sun in the distance with a warm body close to home."

Vince smiled, and couldn't help but glance back, nodding. "Let's enjoy it properly, then." He relaxxed a little bit. He was so starved for attention, he would've taken a nice hug from a jellyfish.

To say Mindblaze wasn't a jellyfish wouldn't have been the full truth, some might call him that at times. Regardless, however, he wasn't exactly formless and naught but tendrils at the moment. He had a form, one that had found itself scootched up next to the other, almost leaning on him as a hand weaved around behind to come to rest on Vince's waist.

Immedietly, Vince's head turned and rested it's forhead against his shoulder, leaning towards the other. Vince was drained, physically and emotionally... and he had been for a long time now. It was a welcome change... even if the other man was someone he had fought before.

Mindblaze certainly didn't protest, his head tilting to rest against Vince's ever so slightly as the sun continued to set in the distance. He didn't know why he had even been drawn to this man, much less allowed him to live after his subordinate had possessed him, not that he could remember if he tried. He simply knew sitting there with Vince in the diminishing rays of the setting sun certainly wasn't something to complain about.

Vince slowly, almost timidly moved to press his face into the other's neck, smiling against it. It'd been a while, and he was enjoying this too much. His hands rested around the other as he relaxed into him. Was this the same Vince?

The hand that was not keeping the man close in a strong, but not overpowering embrace, mostly to let him feel he was there. His free hand came up to mingle with Vince's hair and craddle his head against him. He didn't seem to want to go anywhere for a while.
