"..Wha?!" Axel stared at the boy, paw still in place atop the his head. "...You..aren't upset?" Had it been anyone else, the red-head would've been angry. Knowing Demyx as he did, however, he could only smirk. Besides, the prospect of a "difficult" favor, intrigued him. "Hmph...I'll hold you to that, Dem," he chuckled.

Kaleb glanced between the two of them before echoing Axel's statement. Only with more stuttering.
"Y-you're o-okay?" He squeaked, and fidgeted more along the edge of damp sand. It would probably take a bit more coaxing to actually get him in the water now that he was a little stressed out. "I-is the green coming off?"

"Mmrph..I'm sure it'll come off eventually...."
Demyx lifted a paw to rub at his shoulders a bit. Yeah, sure he was upset about the green, but it was really hard for the sitarist to stay angry for any real length of time.
"Sorry...the green just freaked me out...."
Ears twitching, the youth pawed at Axel's hand a moment before swimming a bit closer to shore.
"You coming in Kaleb?"

Axel stayed where he was, watching the youth wander off to retrieve his uncertain little friend. The kid definately needed some lessons on loosening up. Maybe the red-head would even be kind enough to teach him some time.
His thoughts turned elsewhere as a wave rolled past. "Mmph..." he mumbled to himself, scrubbing at the green tinted paw. Stupid Vexen.... It was all his fault of course. Who keeps bottles of green dye on their shelf anyways?

Kaleb nodded and fidgeted a bit more as he lingered near the water's edge. He really didn't want to hold the other two back... With a deep breath he stepped back into the waves, and continued with his tails all fluffed out and his feathers all ruffled until the water was up past his waist.
"I-it's cold," he said, but only because he didn't want to say he was a little afraid to go in deeper.

"Well yeah..it's the ocean..."
Demyx made his way up next to Kaleb and knelt in the water beside him. Kaleb might have been comfortable in waist deep water, but Demyx usually liked the water around his shoulders.
"If you're comfortable up here though, I'll stay with you. Okay?"

Axel continued to futiley scrub at the dyed fur. He paused, an idea suddenly hitting him. What was he thinking? He could just burn it off! Yeah! So he'd be missing a little fur for a while, but it'd grow back! "Hey Dem!" He called, splashing about in his eagerness to reach the boy and tell him of his plan. Dem's shoulder fur would be a bit more obvious, but it was a small price to pay or having his fur back to normal, right?

"I-I think I just need to get used to it..." Kaleb muttered, this time meaning he didn't want to wimp out, so he would give it his best try.
The scrawny healer took another couple hesitant steps into the water, and had to extend his wings so they didn't get wet. He would sink like a rock the moment those feathers fell into the water, since they were downy and soft rather than waterproof like his friend's wings.
He paused and his ears perked as Axel spoke up. Had he gotten the green off? Nope, still as green as it was a few minutes ago...

"Kay Kaleb...you'll like it after you aren't so cold anymore..."
Demyx followed his friend, keeping a close eye on the little mage as he ventured further into the water. His gaze only moved off the other as Axel spoke up and splashed around in the water.
"Yeah Axel?"
Ears perked and head tilted, the sitarist awaited an explanation.

Sloshing over to the pair, Axel grinned broadly. "I know how to get the green off! I'll just make a little fire and sear it off....without touching the skin of course.." The elder's eyes were bright, watching the other's reaction. He thought it was a great idea.

Kaleb's eyes widened nervously. He hated healing burns, so if it was his fur that was green, he would live with it rather than try scorching it off. After all, he had spent a week with hair that changed colours as a result of a spell gone horribly wrong, a little green wouldn't be that bad.
"A-are you sure it's safe?" He asked, wanting to tuck his wings against his back but knowing they would get wet that way.

"You....want to -burn-...our fur off?"
Demyx's expression was rather blank. He knew the fire-wielder sometimes had odd ways of fixing problems...but burning off their own fur?!
"Er....are you sure that's a good idea Axel?..."

"Of course I'm sure!" Axel chuckled confidently. A small tongue of flame appeared over the elder's outstretched finger. He was the master of fire afterall. What could go wrong? "I'll try it first if you want.."

Kaleb's eyes widened further and he took a hesitant step backwards, accidentally getting the tips of his feathers wet. He should have figured Demyx' friend would also have some magical skills.
Well, if the pair of them did go through with the fur burning, they were surrounded by water if there were any mishaps, and conveniently had a healer on hand.

Demyx's ears instantly flattened at the appearance of the fire. Axel he liked, fire he did not.
"A-axel I...I d-d-dunno....I mean it's...FIRE...on our FUR....there's g-gotta be some other w-way to get it off, r-r-right?"
