Also, Tobi didn't actually say he was Madara, did he? In the translation I read he says "My power, Uchiha Madara's power, etc..." Meaning he was just referencing the first real Uchiha, Madara.

There's no record of who Madara was or even if he died, but Madara was non the less a Uchiha, Uchihas have very unnatural abilities. Madara seem's to be the most powerfull of all the Uchihas. Itachi ssems to know of him. He seemed like he was going to tell Kisame. Face it guys, Tobi is dead and Yondaime is dead also.
