Kane's eyebrow twitched.
So...he was right. Interesting. Well, even if she was upset now, at least she wasn't crying again.
Kane rose only enough to recline on his elbows, tilting his head and peering at her curiously. He seemed genuinely catlike in his relaxed, cocky posture and his smirk only completed the illusion.
"The problem, as I see it, is that you either deal with it...or you don't. And you don't strike me as the type to 'not' deal with it. So, my advice? Suck it up, toughen up, and deal with it."
He paused, giving Kika a direct look. "You think it's the end of the world if you decide you want to try something new?"

Kika frowns as cross her arms for a moment. She was fighitng herself at this point. Looking over at Kane she growls again before she turns looking at him "This coming from you? Why don't you do the same? You can't tell me your not curious, its why your asking question." huffing she steps closer to him as her eyes narrowed. She was mad at herself more then anything, that she allowed him to get to her.
"And if I were to do what the pae'il in me wanted, you dear would be running. But then you need to face a fear too, so the hell with it." placing her hand on the back of his neck she pulls him closer, she was inches from him. She stopped herself to allow him to run away if he chose, it might be the best thing for him. She didn't understand anything at this point.
"Scared yet?"

Almost as a mirror image, Kane's eyes narrowed and met Kika's glare. "Me? Curious? You've got to be crazy." He should have known it was too much to hope for. He was right before...ALL females were nuts. He should have known better.
Sneering as she got in his face, he knew a challenge when he saw one. He wasn't backing down to some female. He'd fought her once before and he could easily take her now that he knew her fighting style. "Not hardly," he snarled back derisively. "I'm not afraid of anything, dearie," he snapped back.
A soft growl escaped from his throat and he dropped his voice to a dangerous, low timbre. "Give me your best shot, sweetheart..."

So she did, leaning in she plants a kiss right on his lips. It wasn't perfect, but it was soemthing the pae'il in her wanted. The wolf was growling with hate, but the pae'il was curious and wanted to do this. It was confusing fighitng two sides, as they didn't seem to agree. Not even as she kept the kiss going.
Stepping closer she move her hand at his neck down to his wrist wrapping her hands around it. The other hand move up to do the same, she didn't knwo why she had done this. But she wasn't going to let him run even if he wanted to now.
He was going to face this also, but right now she was getting even with all his question. Even if it meant confusing herself even more.

Kane...froze.
It wasn't often that the feral feline was genuinely caught by surprise, but Kika had managed to do so twice? Three times now? He'd lost count. It was highly disconcerting. He didn't even have a smartass comment or a reaction in mind. His mind was completely blank.
Completely.
He merely stared in shock at the female Pae'il that he was sure was completely out of her mind at this point. He barely even realized that he was trapped; not that he was of the precence of mind right now to try to escape. She effectively had him pinned, and while he might be able to break loose if he got violent...she was...kissing him.
His feline instincts were yowling in his brain to claw, bite, scratch...anything to get free and get as far away as possible from the 'wolf.' Instead...he did nothing.
He just...
...froze.

Pulling away she allows her hands to drop away from him as she stepped back. A smile form across her lips, so she was still confused. But just seeing and feeling him tense up was so worth it. Lifting her hand she brushes it through his hair "What wrong Kane? Cat got your tongue?" chuckling she winks as she turns walking towards the water.
Taking a seat by it she hums to herself. Victory was all oer her face and she didn't even try to hide it. Leaning back she just watch the water, she was enjoying the feeling for now.
Even if she didn't understand what it was.

For the first time in his life...the demon was absolutely silent. While the snarky comment made him cringe internally, there was no outward sign of his distain. He just stared at the tree beyond the point where Kika's head was a moment ago.
It was sometime before he broke the silence, his voice sounding hollow and emotionless, without a trace of his usual cockiness. "I expected an attack," he admitted. "But...that wasn't exactly what I had expected..."
Blinking a few times, he dropped down onto his back again, sending up a small cloud of dust with the impact. He dropped his arms over his eyes, trying to recover from the...loss of composure.

Kika looks over her shoulder at him again smirking "Didn't you ever learn to expect the unexpected?" she didn't say another word, she just turn to lay on her stomach to watch him. She couldn't believe she got him this badly.
It was funny, yet at the same time she felt guilty that she cause him to freak out. Biting her lip she frowns as she crawls towards him "Are you alright? I mean, I didn't mean to actually hurt you...if I did.."

"Apparently not," Kane muttered softly to himself, eyes still covered.
He still wasn't honestly sure how to respond. He felt...disconnected. Like he were floating through, as if in a dream. It wasn't as if he liked what she had done; that wasn't it. He just never expected it...ever.
He'd seen Takeko and Aspen do that a lot. He remembered "the talk" that they had given him and the Fae when they'd thought they were old enough. Of course, Kane had ignored most of it since he swore he'd never need to know any of that junk. He'd certainly never planned on kissing one of the crazy femmes.
Of course, technically he hadn't kissed her. She'd kissed him. Never once had he returned the 'favor.'
Raising one arm just enough to glance at Kika with one slitted eye, he snorted with slight amusement. "Hurt me? You didn't hurt me. I'm fine." Yeah. Fine. He was...'fine.'
"So," he drawled, covering his eyes again and trying to sound casual. "What was that craziness all about?"

Looking away for a moment she was trying to figure that out herself. Why did she do that? At first she figure it was to get even with him, but now she wasn't too sure. Looking back over at him she shakes her head "I'm not really sure, at first to get even with you for asking all those questions. But now.." she trail off as she bites her bottom lip.
Shaking her head she sighs "Sorry, I shouldn't have done that. It was foolish, and if anything I know it confused us both." sighing she pulls her knees up to her chest hiding her face.
Being a wolf was so much easier then this.

'But now...?' What did that mean? Damn curiosity was really going to get him in serious trouble if he wasn't careful. Still lying down, Kane crossed one knee over the other, still trying to keep up the appearance of being casual, though his tail twitched, disturbing dust and leaves on the forest floor.
"Nah, no confusion here," he quipped lightly. He couldn't let her know that she'd seriously gotten to him. No way. Better to play it off lightly and let the whole matter drop...hopefully disappearing off the face of Telrunya forever. "I always figured you were a bit nutty," he teased, without even a possible trace of malice. No harm meant...he'd just prefer to get back to the light verbal sparring they'd shared earlier as opposed to this...complicated tension.

Kika frowns before she hides her face in her knees. So not only was she wrong about him being confused, she was also very embrassed. Chuckling she lays back looking up at the sky for a moment "Okay life is so much better as a wolf." laying on her side she smiles alittle brushing the whole thing off.
"My family thinks I'm nuts, if that helps. They don't think its right that I'm a pae'il who believes she a wolf." drawing her finger over the drew she sighs as she thinks about it. She was trying to balance herself out for her father's sake.

Kane shot her another one-eyed look from beneath his arm. "Err...you know that wasn't literal. If I thought you were nutty, I wouldn't be sitting this close to you. In fact, I'd probably be on the opposite side of Loka Nei."
"Hmmph," he snorted, rolling his eyes. "I can see why you'd choose a pack over a family then. Not much of a family if they can't even accept you," he muttered. Sure, Takeko had had her issues with him, but she never tried to change him, or acted like he was doing anything wrong. He was just...different. Nothing wrong with that.

Shaking her head she chuckles "I love my father, he means the world to me. He trying to understand that i can't just rid myself of the wolf. It will always be apart of me." pausing she sits up lifting her arms above her head for a moment "I guess I'm willing to try because I want to be apart of my father's life." placing her hands in her lap she shrugs "And I know he wants me apart of it also."
Looking back up at him she reaches forward pushing him alittle. She was in the mood to play agan, so she was testing her boundries.

Without looking, Kane lazily batted her hand aside. "Eh, I suppose to each their own," he murmured dismissively. He couldn't imagine changing 'cause someone else wanted him to. And he definitely didn't want to change himself. He liked...'himself' just the way he was.
He snuck another glance over at Kika, to see if she was looking. Smirk hidden by his arm, Kane tensed...and...pounced!
