terradi heiwa90 according to ivy(who is in most cases going to be right!), kin is a human who for the first time is reincarnated as a human
if i am this, it makes sense, because i have always had a special feeling about animals, but i m not sure what it means or if i am one, and im not sure it matters either
Otherkin also refers to one who remembers being incarnated as something other than human. It includes the therians, vampires, elves, dragons, and all else. Some have phantom limbs, tails, ears or the like that can be sensed when they move around on occaison. It's a very, very odd feeling. 'specially if you have no idea what on earth is going on. Vampyre Rin I just got one! His name is David & he's in the form of human and when ever I'm doing something he doesn't want me to do, he "taps" my shoulder. Hehe, that's awsome. ^^ My wolves often do that two if I'm doing/gonna do something stupid, problem is I'm normally not paying attention to them when they try to stop me. ^^;;

i've been trying to decide on what type of animal guide is best for me...any suggestions for how i should go about doing this?? i've meditated on it constantly and everytime i am shown a different animal!!

It's not something I talk about too much because I figure most people don't know what it means, or wouldn't understand though. sweatdrop I am by virtue of memory, two different kinds and very different lives. At least from what I know of them. It's mostly fragments, nothing definite, especially on my first one. heiwa90: There's a gaia guild here, and otherkin.net is also a place you might consider looking. It's really good for basic information, to learn about the different types and how they work. If you know where you fit in and who you want to talk to, you can probably find a group from there that might be able to answer your specific questions.

Ivy_tsuki Wow I never knew that about you. I understand the basic concepts of otherkin, usually I just refer to it as kin, and I don't think I am one though. I am pretty sure that I was human in my past lifes; well at least in the ones that I recall. I worked a lot with lycanthropes and therienthropes last year and a lot of them were kin. I had no idea until I told my fiancee about this wierd .. not really a vision but something that was running through my head. The two of us puzzled it out over AIM and figured out what had went on. There's still a lot of pieces missing, I don't remember a lot about what my life was like, but what I do know I'm rather happy about. I was an elf in that life. Nobility, which actually means little to nothing but sounds cool. ^^; The other life I have vagure recollections of would be my time as an angel of some sort. Basically I remember how I died, the rest is a mystery. I wouldn't believe it was real, except every now and then I get those phantom limbs .. the feeling of wings which I've been informed are visible if you can see that sort of stuff. Drove me crazy until I got someone to verify that they were really there and it wasn't just my imagination. Then I got teased like mad as they grew in. I don't actually recall any human lives. Both of those lives were ages ago though, and since my time as an elf I know I've been here, so there were quite a few. They just haven't come to mind yet, and they might never. I have a horrible memory, sadly.

When ever I see my guide I see a woman, what I believe is a wolf and sometimes a horse. None of them ever say anything or do anything, they just stand side by side. I don't know if one of them or all of them might be guides or just visions?

I have a horrible memory, sadly. It's alright. That's what life is, after all, good and bad. smile I met my soulmate, so it's not all bad. I've learned to be a lot more humble, definitely. I am a long, long ways from having been nobility. Thankfully I know realize what an arrogant one I was. Though that got knocked out of me when I left the city I'd grown up in and ended up exiled.
