She got it from the last dungeon she did, and saved it. Since she's started another dungeon, she can't spend it until this one is over.
You walk down deeper into the extinct volcano. The incline is rather steep at some points, so severe that the diggers had to carve steps into the tunnel floor. Even after being rapidly melted and turned to obsidian, these steps remain intact, allowing you to descend easily. The glow from the rocks and crystals embedded in the wall continues, and the rocks and crystals themselves become more frequent the deeper you go. By the time you reach the bottom of the stairs, you don't need your torches at all.
The honeycomb pattern of the tunnels continues though, and it makes it hard to keep from being surrounded. Quiet as you try to be, five Grinders emerge from some side tunnels, surrounding you. In addition to them, an Imp shoots out of one of the side tunnels, running as quickly as it can towards the end of the tunnel.
Each of you gets attacked by a Grinder, so do something about it. lol

XX runs into the rabble of Grinders and swings his sword at one, then fires a lump of ice at another.

Lifts her arm in the air and calls out "come forth furry spirit" and summons her mouse spirit. Then uses her AP for smash.

Wick attacks the demon in front of him as it approches. With a white ball of energy and an icy cold bolt, he tries to fellow the demon in a sngle second . He then blasts a couple of soothing green rays at his allies before resting into a defensive position. (Heal 5 to 3 worst damaged, special attack=my grinder, frost=My grinder, dice for defense) HP: 14/30 2 AP 2 MP

Seeing the huge damage that their fighters would take in the first turn, Shadow and Wick each toss two Heals each at XX and nuku.
XX jumps at Grinder #1 and hits it for one point of damage. He tries to cast Frost, but finds he lacks the MP for it. The Vindictive and Shield Bash from his Grinder hits him back for ten damage.
nuku leaps into action, calling out her spirit mouse and teaming up with it on Grinder #2 and then Smashing it for a total of 19 damage, taking it out. The Grinder Vindictives her and Shield Bashes her for 10 damage.
The Shadow summons her shadow, and joins it and nuku in an attack on Grinder #3. The teamup has a total attack of 13, dropping the Grinder. Everyone takes 4 damage from the Vindictive, and the Grinder shield bashes the annoying summon. Shadow's summon also plinks Grinder #4 to hold it off, and is taken out from taking a second Vindictive and Shield Bash.
Wick tosses a Frost/Radiant Energy Burst combo at Grinder #4, finishing it off.
Forced into action to enable the devastating team ups by the fighters, Tarothin has to bite the bullet and take 10 damage from Grinder #5 while hitting it with a 5 damage Singe.
Thankfully though, this painful first round has taken down three of the five Grinders.
XX: 7/25, 3 AP, 1 MP. Wick: 14/30, 3 AP, 3 MP. Tarothin: 7/20, 3 AP, 2 MP. nuku: 1/15, 2 AP, 1 MP. Shadow: 16/20, 2 AP, 0 MP.
Party pool: 5 AP, 3 MP.

Wick laughs at the onslaught. "Is that the best you got? Is that all of the pain that you can supply! Ha that is nothing! lets me show you the taste of retribution!!" Screaming wick first throws green rays at his companions. then a familiar white energy ball and icy ray combo at the remaining enemies. (special attack=surviving grinder, frost= any remaining grinders. Heal nuku 5 and XX 10) HP: 14/30 3 AP 1 MP

Fearing she may get knocked out otherwise Nuku just jumps forward, summons her mouse spirit and attacks once. (sorry Vindictive may kill me if I do much more.)

You mop up the last two Grinders without much difficulty. Physically attacking them is very painful, you have found.
At the end of the combat, here is where you stand.
XX: 13/25, 4 AP, 2 MP. Wick: 14/30, 4 AP, 4 MP. Tarothin: 8/20, 4/4, 4 AP, 3 MP. nuku: 7/15, 3 AP, 1 MP. Shadow: 12/20, 3 AP, 1 MP.
Party pool: 6 AP, 4 MP.
You are left with the option of chasing the Imp down the main passage, or checking out the side passages.
