I don't think I really agree with Ashram in terms of the parallels with Neon Genesis Evangelion in terms of Simon's breakdown. The dynamics are so different. G-L is just so emotionally arresting in how the plot is going. The tone and color scheme for episode nine was pitch perfect.
Also, I decided that for my first tattoo, I want a scroll wrapped around my wrist with a quote on it, but I couldn't decide on the quote until I saw episode eight:
"Abandon your logic and kick reason to the curb."

Said it was close to a cliche in stories I don't like much, NGE being one exception.

The reasons for arms brokering are twofold... 1> Testing new prototypes. 2> If not properly outfitted to oppress young Simon, the foreseen Simon GARlock scenario may not be reached with proper results.
