As much as I love Sanzo and Hakkai, I voted for Nii heart , probably the deepest character in the series, imo.

Soreyle As much as I love Sanzo and Hakkai, I voted for Nii heart , probably the deepest character in the series, imo. I have to agree with that...its like he playe a major role back in tenkai (gaiden) that he could still remember everything that has happened in the past and knew exactly who the saiyuki characters were..(hummmnnn...thats was just a thought though)

my fav is most definately goku, but kougaiji is a close second, and i dont know some of the ppl on that list, i dont have ne of the anime, only three of the manga, though i patiently await the next manga to come out

I really like Hakkai, but Ni is cool (bunny slippers shall rule the earth one day!) And I totally respect Yaone. And who doesn't want a pet Goku? ^^0 I'm so odd.

Sanzo by far. whee I was so attracted to him when I saw him on TV in Taiwan and I couldn't understand more than half of what he was saying, I still became weirdly obsessed. His attitude is just so cool, "bother me and I'll kill you." Second is Hakkai/Lirin/Gojyo, I guess.

And my vote goes to... duh duh duh duh! Hakkai! Who out there guessed it? Hakkai is just a really great character in my opinion. He's unsure of himself to the extreme but he doesn't let that get in the way of his life or how he chooses to live it. Goku is hilarious, Sanzo is a guy you just wanna smile at, and Gojyo's antics are always interesting to watch, but when you get right down to it Hakkai is just the man. Not saying the other characters aren't important, but Hakkai is like, the second strongest of the group (since I doubt any one will dispute that Goku is the strongest). So, GO HAKKAI! WOO! Or as Goku once said. "I will not, it's Hakkai! Hakkai Hakkai Hakkai Hakkai Hakkai Hakkai Hakkai!"
