As I watched Pirates of the Caribbean for the first time, I just loved Capitain Jack Sparrow. From this day on I became very interested in Johnny Depp, so I watched other movies from him to see if he's really good, and I found out that he's the best actor I know! biggrin

i got hooked when i saw pirates of the caribien and i was obsessed with pirates so i figured that if johnny depp play a prirate why not like him. i mean hes hot, and a good actor. so that's how. i love johnny depp!!!

i got hooked on johnny depp on pirates of the cariibean: curse of the black pearl THAT MOVE WAS DA BOMB lol that was the best movie ever

It's rather sad how so many became obsessed just with POTC. Where have you been all these years people? Not to be mean... but in my opinion a lot of those became obsessed just by his looks. That's not the only reason to love him. Hmm.. there's wonderful talent, his offbeat sense of humor, the way he hates all the hype of Hollywood.

i have to say i kinda agree with Deppfan but that its kinda settled down now... or its just the fact that we don't allow the fan girls in the guild so we don't know. the fact of the matter is, the people that the movie was promoted to was the teenage audience and so most of those people wouldn't have known about depps previous works because of the age gap.

I got hooked on Johnny of course when I saw Jack Sparrow lol Jack was just one of these character that you watch he just sticks in your mind like that. I wanted to go to Pirates cuz I had just recently found out who Orlando Bloom was, liking his acting and his looks from Lord of The Rings I wanted to see him act a diffrent character. And altough I liked Orli xd I came out of the theatre with a life long crush on Johnny. This made me go out hunt down every possible vedieo that I could on him as well as join a very cool message board called Johnny's Angels (http://johnnysangels.proboards23.com/index.cgi)

I got hooked somewhere between Sleepy Hollow and PotC. At some point I looked back on my movie-watching career and realized that Johnny Depp was in a good number of my favorite movies and that I loved him in all of them. *shrug*

for me it was Edward Scissor Hands. with Winona Ryder. that movied first got me addicted to Johnny Depp. I love the story plot and his character...
I loved Pirates that was awesome.

I saw him in edward scissorhands when i was like seven, but never knew who he was till i saw potc. after the movie when everyone was having a nutty over how hot orlando bloom was i was like" who was that amazingly talented hot guy that played jack sparrow?" my mother later told me it was johnny depp and now i am a total johnny addict. My friends ar still drooling over orlando and always make fun of me for liking a 43 year old mand, but i always remind them that orlando was never named sexiest man alive now was he? whee

Well, I did see parts of him as Edward Siccorhands but I didn't know it was him then... After I watched POTC for like a thousand I really like him and I'm trying to see all of his movies...

Benny and Joon was a wonderful film that got me hooked!
I thought Depp was "so kool" (I was only a lil lol)
I enjoyed it when he did his impression of Charlie Chaplin with the forks and i think they were twinkies???? the walking dancing bit hehehe!
but Edward Scissor hands was brilliant too and that's when i thought that Depp was a brilliant actor but i'm hooked purely because he is brilliant and looking at a character and developing a personality for that character! each character is sooooo different and that's what hooked me!
