Ki shook her head at caroline with a sad smile on her face. "That's bound to be true. I'll never understand the appeal of those damnable banyas and all those other fourtune screeching creatures." She adjusted Van who gave mild protest at being shifted then turned to look over Zak. "I think I'd have a headache all the time if I had to worry about some feathery creature preeching my praises or heaven forbid, my doom, all around the wagon." She sighed. "Yeah, I've got room. It's jsut me and the stinker here." Again she shifted Van. "And heaven knows he doesn't do anything to take up more room." She nodded at her wagon, middle of the run, two large grey horses standing nearby. "How is he round horses?"

"I'd imagine ye could ask 'im, but he was goin' on about some cow, so if he was raised on a farm I'd 'magine 'e'd know a thing'r two 'bout horses."

"I be suspecting those are horse prints on his face, which speaks none to high about his handling of the creatures if the horse be his. but he looks a strong lad able to deal with much, should he be in better condition. mayhaps once he is fixed up we can figure out his usefulness."

[Ahhh...okay....we'll see how this goes...]
Kale sneezed. The oak was alive in all it's full, pollen-bearing grandeur, and his allergies were tickling his nose. Even so, it was a beautiful day for a walk and he couldn't resist using his new child dexterity in any way he could fine. He proceeded at a trot, enjoying the warm, balmy air. He loved hot weather.
He hadn't gone far before he spotted several people he knew, as long with several he didn't. Curiosity piqued when he spotted Rojiza's mother. He made his way to her.

]Good Lord, everyone loves Caroline. xD] Caroline smiles at Kale. A face she knows, at least. "Out for a walk, are ye Kale? Aye, 'tis a fine day for't. Ro's in the wagon, I think, if ye want to talk t'her."

Ki looked over the man a moment before making a decision. "Yeah. Looks like he's been kicked. No mind though. Sigurd and Sigmund are the most docile beasts you'll see this side of the woodlands." She shrugged nonchalantly. "Better get him cleaned up a little though... If he's got the smell of blood on him I doubt any docile beast will want him near."

By the time Samir got Sal to settle his weary bones, the girl who had addressed him was enveloped in a whirlwind of activity. In fact, the craze of motion only seemed to pause briefly whenever someone else new came in. He couldn't help but grin. Ah, how Reem would love to bring order to this chaos if she were awake!
He didn't wish to intrude on the situation, since he had little clue what was going on, as it were. Someone was hurt, rather badly, it seemed, and over there was a boy with... fire for hair? And a tail? Samir blinked, his face going through a quick succession of emotions before setting back to his trademark good natured grin. "Ah, will wonders never cease?" he muttered to himself.
For lack of anything better to do, his hands wormed three balls out of his vest pocket, and mechanically started working them into a circle in the air. His mind may be polite, but his hands had their own objectives.
((Ah, every time I post I have to get off! D: ))

Zak was not sure what to make of these women. they're making those cluck noises. mom used to do that. maternal instinct, maybe they won't eat me. but nobody eats useful beasts, better be too useful to eat. for the time being his brain was not letting him see the children, there was a nagging suspicion that something was deeply wrong but the front of his brain was not going to notice what was more than likely to be a hallucination right now.
Zak managed to stop his newly self-reinflicted nosebleed long enough to protest "Not my Horses. he said pointing to his non-functional eye with his free hand "I Used to do th-the shoeing, back home."

This is exactly what he wants. He grins. "Thank you, Miss," he says brightly, and runs off before he even has time to be greeted by the others he doesn't know. His mother would have been perturbed by his bad manners.
He reached Ro's wagon and took the steps by leaps, just for fun. The boy almost charged right in, but he remembered enough of his mother's teaching to pause and knock.

Caroline nods at the boy. "Well the, Ki, there ye have it. Mm, now to get ye cleaned up." She chews gently on her bottom lip. "Anna-one know annathing about healin'? I'm only good with th'arms and th'legs."
Rojiza opens the door, expecting the man who'd just come to pick up Vanna again and is surprised to see Kale. She stands there, blinking for a few seconds, then nods quickly and opens the door wider to permit him. Her heartbeat pounds. They hadn't interacted at all since he'd grown. Why is he here now?

Kale grins. He was eager to see her, to show off his new form, and knew also that she had recently had a change herself. "Ro! Hey," he says. "Whatcha up to?" He enters the wagon and takes a look around. Everything seems so much more...real, now that's he's grown. He understands everything so much better, and he can't keep himself from fiddling with various items on shelves or pillows on the bed. He turns back to Ro, and, with dismay, realizes that his ears reach her chin.
"...you're still taller than me," he says, disgruntled. His hair flickers, its lively but harmless flames licking the sides of his face.

Rojiza's face splits into a grin. She'd been bigger than him for a long time, now. Mostly because of his stint as a candle, she reminds herself, sobering. She nods a bit, turning half away from him and toward Taog and strokes the crest atop his head. Taog squawks indignantly at this intrusion but leans his feathered head into her touch like a cat. This cheers Rojiza so that she can properly look at Kale again. She untucks her notebook from her skirt and picks a pencil up off of the cluttered table. What brings you here? She offers the notepad to him, curious as to the response. He'd made no effort to speak with her since the awful trip in the bubble.

"Well" Tamlin said as she rose to her feet to address the veritable gaggle that had shown up "its all well and good we have a wagon for the lad, but how's he to get there? with all o' us here we could carry him but i be suspecting thas not the best thing for injuries of his sort. anyone got something strong-like that we can put th' lad on and carry that, t'would jostle him less i think."
She nibbled on the end of a curl of hair as she thought more. "Water and wet cloth would clean 'im up nicely then we can tend what other hurts the lad has."

Kale takes a look at the notepad and frowns. He can't read well, and he's only been in his child form for a little while, not enough to perfect the skill. He bites his lip and tries.
W-hat...what bring-ss...what brings you hee-ree. Here. What brings you here? Upon deciphering the message, he grins with pride. "I dunno," he says casually. "I haven't seen ya in...well just about forever." He remembers her vaguely as a baby, and not at all as a candle. All of his candle memories are achingly faint, and without her voice to etch an impression, he doesn't recall her at all.
"Ye'r pretty Ro," he adds, but within moments is distracted by the Banya and goes to pet it. He notices that it's more tempermental than Aryel, but friendlier than Lucia. Lucia, he remembers, he hadsn't seen in days. She's among the flock that flew off.

"I can walk really," said Zak marshaling his strength and attempting to sit up, no good, something riblike did not want to be moved, or breathed around for that matter. the cuts on his back that had clotted while Zak sat propped against the wagon opened back up again with the motion. Ouch! chirst, work through the pain man! "my legs are fine," Zak winced, as he pulled himself up using the wagon wheel and the decorations on the side as a crutch/handhold. this somehow smeared more blood everywhere. Great. I should clean this off for whoever lives here, a blood stain all over your house is not a good way to meet people.
