Ayako raised an eyebrow. She could somehow sense that her sister had suddenly become nervous. She didn't understand it, being even nervous around her parents? "Are you okay?"

"Yeah..." Her eyes glanced nervously around the room, as if their parents would suddenly appear. "I just.....get nervous when they're in teacher mode." That would put her in the spotlight, where all her mistakes would be seen and judged. x__x

Ayako blinked. "Why would you be?" She didn't understand, of course, because when she had never asked her parent about studies. She had preferred to study alone, and told herself that only if she had trouble, she would ask them. So far, she hadn't.

Nahanni slouched at the question. "I...don't like being judged...." Sure it was only her parents, but even family made assumptions. Her maw actually frowned, not pleased at where her thoughts were leading her.

Ayako blew her dark fringe away from her eyes and peered up at her sister. "Well, but if you're asking them to teach you, you should be ready." This was emphasized with a level gaze. "Besides, they won't be that firm."

Nahanni smirked lightly. "And that's why I haven't asked." She wasn't ready. Besides, she didn't care if they were firm or not. Just how well she'd please them. She gave a yawn and closed the book.

Ayako smiled at her, "Well, I hope you'll be ready soon enough." And oh yes, she understood her feelings. Ayako always wanted to please her mother, to see a smile on her face. Frowns weren't allowed.
"Looks like you're sleepy too." Another yawn escaped her mouth.

Nahanni nodded. "Yep, I guess I am..." Her parents and training would have to wait. She peered at Ayako. "Guess it's time for a nap." ^_^
