He turned his head to her as they walked off, "you don't? i thought you'd be more embarrassed than me." His face grimaced as he heard again from behind him, "And Lucas, at least show up for class something." He turned, giving a very cheesy grin, and walked out the door, still softly holding Kari's hand.

She blushed. "Well, I was a little embarassed, but that's okay. Anyways, what were you trying to say before we got rudely interrupted?" she asked curiously, looking down at their intertwining hands.

He too was looking down at their hands, and at first didn't hear what it was that she said, "Hu?? ohh that? it was ah...It was nothing...just a spur of the moment sorta thing.." He didn't look up from their hands, kinda indicating that he was lieing.

"Please tell me, even if it was a 'spur of the moment sorta thing'," Kari said, smiling at him. She wanted to know what he was thinking. "I sware, I won't laugh," she said, just trying to make him feel better.

"Ah...." He hesitated, "I think....i think i....No, it was stupid of me to even think about." his hand let go of hers and he turned away slightly.

She put her hand on his shoulder and leaned over it, her lips almost touching his ear. "You can tell me anything," she whispered lightly in his ear.

He let out a very slow sigh and turned his head back towards her, not taking a step back so they were face to face, their noses almost touching. "...I....I think i love you..."

Kari blushed. "No one has ever told me that before....," she said quietly. "Not even my family......," she added. Then, she wrapped her arms around him and held him close. She shed a few tears of joy and sadness.

He held her close and kissed the side of her head softly, but couldn't say anything, for the fact that he wasn't sure if she was happy or not.

His eyes lit up with joy as he heard her speak, and held her closer. He was absolutely speakless.

"No, I was wrong," she said, throwing her head over her shoulder away from him. She hid her smile under her hair, pausing in the moment. She turned back to face him, their eyes locking. "I know I love you," she whispered.

As he listened to her, his heart seemed to skip a beat as she started, been then she turned back to him and spoke again. All he could do was take her in his arms and kiss her.

She kissed him back and wrapped her arms around his neck. She had to stand on her tiptoes to reach, but that was okay. All Kari could focus on was the smoothness of his lips caressing against hers.

He was lightly pushed against the wall by her as he pulled her closer and kissed her passionatly. All of his attention was focused one her so much, that he didn't even notice the class that was just dismissed and walked passed, whispering and snickering at them.
