Valar chuckled deep within his chest as he stopped pacing back and forth now that he was within a range where he could just jump forward and take her. "Oh. I know how special you are. You're very special and you're going to be my next meal. It seems like it's been forever since I've taseted Soquili flesh."
His eyes burned with a flame of pure predatory flavor. Snapping his teeth at her again, he whipped his tail around behind him as he crouched low. Ready to spring forward, his eyes locked on the sight of her soft throat. That with one grab and tear could be ripped open which would cause her to suffocate immediatly.
Giving a large growl, the large Kalona lept forward. Aiming for that tender spot underneath her head.
A large rock that had been sitting ontop of the boulder Tiffany had pressed herself against came tumbling down. Small bits of rock were flung everywhere as it made it's decent. Though it was pushed out far enough to avoid hitting the mare. The rock came down upon the Kalona stallion's head in which he let out a loud screech. His wings flairing as he was brought to the ground, stunned from the sudden blow to the head.
Quickly as he could, Yiska appeared from the thick of trees. Skidding to a stop at Tiffany's side. "Come on!" He practically yelled as he pranced in place, his mind still a bit fearful that the rock wouldn't keep the Kalona down for very long, which showed equally in his eyes. "We need to go now or he'll get back up before we can get away!"
His backlegs sprang into action as they launched him past the screeching beat. Tail held high like a banner. Hopeing that she'd follow him right then and there, he kept from taking off too fast, just so that he wouldn't loose her again as he headed back into the trees away from the scene.

Tiffany's heart pounded so hard that she felt like her entire chest was moving back and forth from it. She knew it was coming, the stupid Kalona didn't care about how wonderful she was, or about how beautiful she was, nope. He only cared about eating, and he was just as ignorant as any other, only he had huge, shart teeth and was entirly bloodthirsty.
Then, the rock flew down, and for a secound she just stood there, trying to process what had just happened. But before she could even figure out that Valar was at least temporarily pinned down, Yiska was there.
"Finnally" she managed to say, before taking off right after him. This time she didn't need a secound warning to run, and if she followed Yiska, hopefully they could put enough distance between themselves and the hellish creature.
"What.... took you...... so........ long?" she managed to growl between huffs of air. Even in a near-death experience, Tiffany could never forget to be herself. Although he did show up in the end. But also, if the rock hadn't fallen, she probubly would have died anyway, and he probubly would have died for comming back to help her.

Yiska's hooves pounded hard and deep into the ground beneath him. Every now and again he would look back to make sure she was still there and keeping up. That rock wouldn't stay very long and they would probably need a place to hide out for a while. Luckily he knew a place that was close and good for cover.
"I'm sorry..." He said between baited breath. "I tried to get back...as soon as I could. But...then I was confronted with what...I should do once I got there." The stallion lead them down a clear cut path but then weaved into the trees and darted into a thick grove of trees that was dimly lit. Finally they were there and he could rest a bit from the run. He panted as he came to a stop before running into the trees that surrounded the grove.
Valar was not happy. Not happy at all. A loud screech and summoning up all the strength he could, he shoved the rock aside. Blood dripped down into his firey eyes as he tried to look around. His meal was gone!
A roar now errupted from his throat as he flapped his webbed wings and took flight. Going higher and higher. Wings beating in a flurry. The Kalona circled a wide circumphrance of the forested area. Searching the ground for his lost prey. Tail snapping wildly through the air as he tossed his head, flinging droplets of blood this way and that.
Once he found them, he'd rip apart that stallion while the mare watched.

Tiffany glared at him as soon as they began to rest. "This is ALL your fault!" she said in a hushed tone, but somehow managed to scream while doing so. "You took me to that freaking field where that crazy thing came and then ABANDONED me! I have met soquili that had insulted me, even attacked me. But I have NEVER had one do such a horrible thing to me!" Tiffany snapped at him, feeling wholy hurt.
"I thought we were FRIENDS" she said again, almost angry, and a bit surpised at what she said herself. "I don't have FRIENDS. I'm not the person that makes FRIENDS. But you were nice to me so I thought maybe. But I guess not" she said, her voice rising. "I hope that STUPID Kalona with the UGLY flash tears you up and I am sorry I wasted my time making you look presentable" she said again, on the verge of crying.
She hesitated for a moment, because she thought it would make her look horrible. But she was already dirty, grass stained, and had leaves and stickes lodged all over. So she did. She cried because she had for the first time been hurt on an emotional level. She cried because she had just almost been eated by a giant Kalona. But mostly she cried because her hair would take FOREVER to look good again, how embaressing!

(( XD Typing this responce made me almost want to cry.))
Her words hurt him just about as much as she was hurt. His ears flicked back against his head as the pain appeared on his face. "I didn't....mean to. I just thought that you'd enjoy...." Yiska's eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the ground. Perhaps he shouldn't of even taken her there. She was right. It was a horrible thing to do, risking her life like that. But he was only trying to please her and keep up with her demands.
"I'm sorry. And I'm sorry you feel that way. It wasn't my intention to put you in danger." Letting his head hang lower, his hair covered his face in an almost shameful way. "I just wanted you to be happy and perhaps not yell at me as much as you were." His tail gave a few meek flicks side to side as he watched her. She was crying. He had made someone cry and it made him feel like a monster. Perhaps trying to hard to make someone happy wasn't worth the trouble anymore.
Yiska almost felt like crying himself because he had tried so hard and it had ended terribly. And now he had lost a 'friendship', if you could even call it that. Her words of hoping the Kalona would tear him up only added salt to the wound. But he ignored it for now. Taking a few steps towards her, it almost made his heart wrench to hear someone cry. Comforting that someone would be the first thing he'd do, but she probably didn't even want him near her.
"I doubt anything I say is going to change your mind about being my friend again. All I can say is I'm sorry again and leave you to your own devices. Though it wasn't that bad being bossed around and gussied up like I was, I can only hope that maybe one day you'll find it in your heart to forive me." By now, his head had lifted upward, strands of small curls flopped over his nose as his light green eyes nearly shimmered from the tears he held back. "I wish there was something I could do to make it up to you, but I doubt it." Turning around, he gazed out the entrance of the grove and listened. It seemed the Kalona had given up by now and soon he would return home.

((Awww! XD))
Tiffany sniffed, looking at the hurt she brough onto Yiska. He seemed genuinly regretful. But why in the world would she ever forgive him? Didn't he understand who he was dealing with? Her sadness turned to anger almost immediatly. She straightened herself up, towering over the cowering stallion.
"Well you are stupid. I never want to see you again, and I will never forgive you. You should be grateful that I wasted my time with you. I was so NICE to you, and all you did was hurt me. You are the meanest stallion EVER!" she said in a childish manner, stomping her hooves on the ground in frustration. "I can't belive I trusted you!" she added.
And the water works came again. Because she wasn't just angry, who was she kidding? Anger could only get you so far. Sadness got you what you wanted. "Now I am going to spend hours and hours fixing myself up again. All I wanted was a nice day..." she whined through the tears. "And I can't belive you did that to me. I don't belive you! You didn't want to make me happy! You were trying to be mean, just like everyone else! And you don't understand how great I am, just like everyone else! Leave me alone, you ugly beast!" she said, her voice slowly elevating into a scream.
The mare felt desperate and emotional, and she couldn't figure out weather she just wanted attention, or wanted to be left alone. It felt good to yell at him and take her anger out on him. It made her feel stronger, and as if she was repaying him for his deeds, weather they were intended or not. She knew screaming and insulting was useless, but wow, it sure did feel good.

"I see. Well then, if that's the case. Good bye Tiffany." With that, he turned tail and head back out the entrace of the grove. His tail giving small, idle flicks as he made his way through the trees.
This experiance would leave a lasting impression in his mind. And perhaps he would do better if this situation ever occured again.

Tiffany sat, stunned. He had accually left? No fair, she didn't MEAN it when she asked him to leave! Was he stupid? Didn't he know that when she said 'leave' she meant 'stay'? How could he misinterpret it so?
"You stupid beast. Fine, go. See if I care. I hope the stupid Kalona gets you!" she yelled, only vaugly aware that she had already once set upon his back that wish. But did he really care? It didn't seem like it. Stupid jerk, he would pay. Oh, he would pay. Nobody messed with Tiffany. Nobody.
She had too much pride to ask him to come back so she could continue to verbally attack, so Tiffany turned the opposite direction, not caring very much if she ran into the Kalona. At this point she was so angry and upset that she would probubly just outright kick the thing.
"Stupid Yiska with his stupid flowers and stupid ugly Kalona. See if I care, because I don't. Stupid Yiska. I hate him" she mumbled to herself as the distance between the two grew and grew.
