"Well? What the heck are you waiting for. Let's get to the Defiant"
:: With that she continues down the steps and waits for Gem in the middle of the field ::

:: Gem stares at Sienne and goes to say something and thinks better of it as he shakes his head from side to side and shrugs his shoulders and follows Sienne to the middle of the field ::
"Ready?"
:: He lifts a hand as bluish energy pours from his fingertips forming a sphere in the middle of his palm. Letting the sphere go as it floats in midair before floating to the middle of the field. It condenses down and then explodes open instantly forming a swirling mass of energy ::

:: Sienne watches as Gem unleashes the portal and smiles as a wind caused by the vortex blows her hair around ::

:: As the light of morning cascades over the horizon, a swirl of wind forms as it blows leaves around lightly. The wind intensifies as a pinpoint of light forms and hangs in midair. Suddenly, the light explodes open and is replaces with a swirling mass of bluish energy, a portal opening. From the portal, a figure steps through and stands in the middle of the field near his home ::
:: He turns and closes the portal as a few of the villagers have already started their day and were milling about and waving their 'good mornings' towards Gem ::
:: He smiles at every one of them as he looks around and sees Lyse coming out of a tent and stretching as he smirks a bit ::
"Well ... looks like she's been getting acquainted to army life"
:: He walks towards her ::

:: Lyse comes out of the tent she used last night. Having spent the entire day getting to know the villagers to assess their strengths and weaknesses, she lost track of time. Edwin has suggested using the tent. However as she made her way out, the grimmace on her face told the true story ::
"That will be the last time I do that," as she tilts her neck to the left and right to 'crack' the tightened muscles.
:: Hearing a pop, she relaxes a bit and turns to see Gem approaching her as she smirks a bit ::
"Well .. good morning. Heard you were under house arrest yesterday? Did the warden let you out on good behavior?"

:: Upon arriving, he opens the door and holds it open for Lyse to enter. He follows her inside as he makes his way past the living area as he calls back to Lyse ::
"Want something to eat? I can whip up something really quick. Oh .. there's a package on the table for you. Wanted to give it to you yesterday, but of course Sienne had other ideas"

"No I'm okay. I'll get something to eat later. Really, I just want to give you my assessment."
:: She then walks over to the table Gem had indicated and sees the package neatly tied. She tentatively picks it up and rattles it a bit ::
"What is this? It's not going to "blow up" in my face when I open it, is it?"

:: He leans against the doorframe and waits with a smile ::

:: She raises an eyebrow and looks at Gem. Taking a deep breath and closing one eye as she opens the box up and cautiously peeks in ::
:: She blinks a few times before a smile crosses her face as she takes out the uniform Gem had promised and hold it up ::
"Wow!!! This looks great!"
:: She turns it over and over in her hands. She sees the slits specifically made for her wings to fit through and then notices the patch on the upper left sleeve and looks at it ::
"Gem? This ... this patch ... it looks like your marking on your left arm"
:: She turns and looks at him quizzically ::

"Go ahead and get changed. You can use one of the rooms upstairs. Just don't go into my room"

Ritanya appeared within the shadows, but remained there, watching over the people who were assembled. She worried for these people, despite not really knowing them. She worried about the new friends. However, she mostly worried for Lyse. She had come to care deeply for her. Apakoh held her heart, but Lyse was very important to her as well.
