Jordan wheeled his way into the cafeteria. He hadn’t known of the party and there was one primary reason that he’d come out so far. He’d been left alone in his beachside duplex and it scared him. The scars o his attack were still fresh in mind. The frightened dogman had wheeled his way to the village to find Victor, in fear something had happened to him. He was panting from the fear-induced excursion of his weakened body that had franticallypropelled him out so far. He’d followed Victor’s scent, a rare benefit of becoming a dog was the excellent sense of smell. He looked around quickly through the menagerie of guests assembled and spotted Victor, slowly wheeling himself over. He was scared out of his mind with an expression of hurt on his face. He was trying to catch his breath or else he would have called out to the lizardman.

"G-G-GAIUS!" Marshall cried in a panic as Gaius dropped to the floor for no apparent reason.
Oh god...Oh god no...Is he changing again!?
"Please...Gaius, wake up! Come on! Please!" Marshall said, having no idea about Gaius' punishment or that Nita had any thing to do with it. In fact, he didn't even notice her or the furry white man.
"Don't die...Please don't die!"

Nita whirled around, nearly dropping the container. Gaius was sprawled on the floor only a few feet away.
"Dammit!" she yelled. Why now? She had been so careful, for weeks, avoiding places he was likely to be, and then... Bam. Well, at least they knew it wasn't a trick. Nita put Marshall's gift aside and rushed over to Gaius. He was already down, her presence couldn't hurt him more.
The girl crouched on the floor next him, checking for visible wounds. He could have really hurt himself, falling like that. "s**t, s**t, s**t," she muttered under her breath. "Gaius, I'm so sorry..."

The horse-man had landed face-down, probably leaving a bruise on his pseudo-snout later, but aside from some food mess, there wasn't any real harm. The guy was heavy, though, considering his size, and he'd managed to land in the midst of the group. Moving him would prove to be interesting if they chose to tackle that challenge.

"G-Gaius! Whats wrong?! Nita, damnit, whats going on!?" Marshall yelled, still kneeling next to Gaius' unconscious body. He wasn't really mad at Nita, hell, he wasn't mad at any one. He was just scared. This wouldn't be the first time some thing popped up to ruin a birthday party.
"Please...Please wake up..."

WHUMPF is what caught Victor's attention once again, as he turned around from Tommy and saw Gaius on the floor, and a red furred woman that Victor hadn't seen and met before. The Lizardman started to crawl forward to see what was happening with Gaius, when Jordan wheeled himself in. That was the last thing Victor had expected today, he thougrht Jordan was scared witless of leaving his duplex....
"Jorrdan! you alrrrigghht?" Victor asked as he crawled closer to the dogman, looking over to keep an eye on what was happening with Gaius

He wasn’t sure what was going on. First, he’d been left all alone far away from civilization, i.e the village, then the penguin had yelled ‘don’t die on me’ and his eyes went wide with the prospect of another attack taking place before his arrival. Lunatics were on the loose and his blackened nose flared to detect their scents, which he would find none. His back stiffened and he whined in pain as he craned his neck and looked over to Marshall for a moment, catching a glance of Nita nearby. He still thought she hated him just for knowing Lauren. Of course, he was brought back to Victor when he’d heard the raspy reptilian voice announce his name. Jordan hadn’t believed it himself that he’d come out so far till he was physically in the village.
“You were gone when I came to.” he was experiencing difficulty controlling the volume of his wavering fearful voice. “He could’ve come back to kill me!” He said a tad loudly, his panting breathing escalated again. His brown eyes were dilated as he maintained focus on Victor. “Imagine my horror when I realized how far I’d come by myself and I was alone and defenseless. I panicked when you weren't there.” He looked to be on the verge of tears.

Nita looked up at Marshall, anguish written across her furry face. "Marshall, I'm so sorry. It's my fault, I should have known he'd be here..." She shook her head, forcing herself to put her thoughts in order. Calm. Explain. Freaking out won't help.
She sat back with a sigh, inching one paw between Gaius' face and the floor. "Sorry, I'm not making any sense. Gaius and I... We're not allowed withing twenty-five feet of each other, or he gets buzzed. It hadn't happened before, but apparently they were serious about it."
Glancing around, Nita finally took note of the small crowd around them. Friends of Marshall's, she supposed, although Jordan was the only one she recognized. And did that lizard-like guy have two mouths? She nodded at each of them, then bit her lip in thought. Could they get Gaius moved, at least enough so he wasn't flat on his face in a pile of Mexican food?

"Jorrdan, I'm sssorrrrry, you werrre ssssstill kknocckked out ccold frrom thhossssse medssss you hhad takken, I hhad to ggo out and gget ssssomethhingg to eat, I didn't kknow whhen you'd wakke up, and wassss ggoingg to brringg sssssomethhingg bacckk" Victor said to Jordan, trying to calm the worried man in the wheelchair, looking back towards Nita a moment and Gaius still facedown on the floor.
"Need sssssome hhelp movingg hhim?" Victor offered, glad she hadn't screamed or run out yet, still looking at Jordan.

Tommy stayed back away from most of the other guests...his ears told him that they were being much...much too loud for his tastes. So, he was content to just sip on a blood pouch, try not to fall asleep, and watch the goings on. That is...until Nita walked in...and Gaius fell out. He frowned. Guy must'a been locking his knees, he thought worriedly.
"Hey um...is ah...is he going to be alright?" he asked softly to anyone around Gaius, not really wanting to intrude. He did know some basic first aid...but he seemed alright...at least the big galloot was breathing.

“I… I…” he stammered, not knowing what to say. Of course Victor had the right to come and go when he needed to tend to his personal matters, but he could have left a note! His stammering became incoherent when his eyes welled with salty water. He was becoming so useless. The attack had rattled some screws loose. Jordan could hardly be blamed for re-acting so frightened of being left alone in the middle of ‘No Man’s Land’, where monster tigers could easily pick off an injured dogman.
He wiped his eyes with the back of his arms. They weren’t so fluffy anymore, but in time that fur would grow back and clothing would become uncomfortable and intolerantly hot once more. “I come in and someone yells ‘don’t die’! I thought someone had been attacked!” his heart raced a million miles a minute at that thought, biting his bottom lip as he tried to convince himself this motley crew could protect him from Jamal dare that insane tiger show his face again. He tried to calm down enough to catch his breath or at least not break down in public. “I’m sorry, Victor. I didn’t mean to ruin your fun time. I just..” he rubbed his left arm with his other paw, glancing down in shame. “I’m such a coward and so afraid of dying..”
He looked over at the unconscious Gaius after hearing the explanation, giving Nita another glance. “I’m not sure if I’m much help..” he reached down with a groaning pain, feeling the soreness radiate and inflame throughout his broken body as he reached out for one of Gaius’ hands. “Maybe if we pull him up? Nita.. maybe get his other hand..?” He was surging with adrenaline, adrenaline that had made him strong enough to wheel his way to the village and hopefully had given him enough leftover to help out here. Wherever this change in mindset had come from it was likely due to the bond each islander eventually shared in their mutual turmoil and agony caused by the island and the changes it brought. There wasn’t time to think of himself when someone was clearly face-down and unconscious. He grunted, in obvious pain, as he tried lifting Gaius’ arm, letting out huffing breaths to focus beyond the pain.

"W-Why?!" Marshall asked Nita with eyes wide, "Why...Why would he be shocked if you came near him?!" Marshall yelled, not really listening to any one else. Hell, he barely heard Nita.
Why...Why today did this had to happen? God? Any one?...Please? Tell me...Why did Gaius have to get hurt on my birthday?
"Y-Yeah..." he said with little emotion, looking around the room for some one to help out Gaius. Damnit, where was Oz when he needed him!? He slowly, and shakily, got to his feet, grabbing Gaius' limp hand and trying to pry him up, even though he wasn't doing that good of a job.

Nita winced at Marshall's yelling. "I'll explain once we get him over, okay? It's kind of complicated."
She looked around again at those who'd come over to help. A bat, a lizard with far too many limbs (and mouths...), a dog in a wheelchair, Marshall, and herself. Not a fantastic bunch, she admitted privately. For a moment Nita considered just leaving, but she had no idea how long Gaius would stay unconscious. And the poor guy just looked so undignified.
"Okay," Nita said slowly. "The hard part will be to get him on his side. Then he should just tip over. And we'll have to be really careful of his wings." She bit her lip. "If you guys could all lift on his right side?" Nita pointed. "I'll guide his head, and then someone else should help me fold his wings up a bit before he tips onto his back."

Victor crawled back over close to Jordan and reached up to pat his arm. "Jorrdan, let ggo a moment, don't need you to gget hhurrt any morre thhan you alrready hhave been" Victor said as he carefully pushes Jordan's wheelshair a bit back. "No, No, don't be ssssorrrrry Jorrdan, you hhaven't rrrruined anyone's time...I didn't kknow thherre wassss a parrty until I ggot herre...it's Marrssssshhall's birrthhday" the lizardman shifted his body to look back at Gaius and Marshall a moment. "Don't worrrry Jorrdan, you'rrre not a cccowarrrd, and itssss okk to be afrraid" Victor said and looked back at Nita.
"Thhat ssssoundsss likke a plann...." Victor said as he crawled over to Gaius' right side, getting ready to help pull him over

Tommy looked at the scene before him, wondering just what he was going to do without opposable thumbs...and a vertical standing position. With a sigh and an annoyed chitter, he made his way over toward Gaius and the rest...checking briefly to see if the pegasus was drowning on guacamole or not.
He then glanced over to the rest of them. "Alright...well...I think if you can lift him up enough for me to get my head under him, I can push him the rest of the way over," he said while planting himself firmly beside Gaius, ready for the innevitable strain. Tommy would look quite comical, except for what the sitaution already was...with all four limbs planted and ready to spring foreward, he looked like a large, fuzzy linebacker ready for the snap.
