Aha! I finally figured out the one thing about Shotaro that makes me hate him when everyone else is coming to like him a bit more as the manga progresses.
Sho is exactly the type of person I can't stand. He is completely egotistical. He doesn't have an ounce of modesty. I hate people, especially celebrities, like that. Sure, he's good at what he does, but the fact is he knows it way too well! I can see Sho being at an award show for some music award and if he didn't win, he wouldn't be like "Oh, well I was only half-expecting to" he'd probably throw a tantrum.
Yup...Sho is way too full of himself. I think that's why he didn't take any notice of Kyoko for so long. To him she wasn't a glamorous girl who deserved him. What she deserved was to be his servant. Yes! That is why I hate Sho! Even if he's growing up, he's still full of himself. He's only nicer to Kyoko, not anyone else. (It's all the same reason why I don't want the real Shizumasa to be with Haine in Shinshi Doumei Cross. He's nice to Haine, but mean to everyone else. It's stupid.) And worst of all, he challenges Ren! Agh! That pisses me off so much since Ren is so much better!
Anyways, that turned into a bit of a rant, but that's totally why I absolutely will always hate Sho even if he makes amends for what he did to Kyoko. He's just the type of person I hate.

Okay joking aside, he's exactly like one of the guys who, if I ever actually WANTED to get arrested one day, I'd kill.
He's so egotistic that he thinks that everybody loves him, and he could get any girl he wants. He thinks that because he acts like that, the girls are attracted to him, and he never thinks of what anyone else thinks and/or feels.

 All I want... Oh, "hate" is such a strong word!! LOATHE IS THE WORD FOR HIM. twisted Juuuus kiddin'. x3 [Or was I? ninja ] I honestly don't understand guys like Sho. ._. After doing something unforgivably cruel to Kyouko, why on Earth would he dare to -- even fall for her /NOW/?! If it's because of a big change of how she looked in the PV or whatever, then I must say that that b*****d is EXTREMELY shallow! >.> HE DOESN'T DESERVE HER!! D< It's too late for him! IT'S TOO LATE TO APOLOGIZE! It's too laaaate! But you know, if he really does Kyouko, even in the very beginning, why would he do something to evil to him? T__T;-- ...for Christmas is you.

Check out my profile. I put sumthing to that effect on it. Plus...he hurt Kyoko! She devoted her entire being to him and he just ditched her!! Treated her like CRAP!!!! Ya know....~SPOILER ALERT~ I'm glad he's finally fallen in luv with Kyoko and realized how just AWESOME she is!!! Well guess what freak, TOO LATE!! But I'm used to guys like that. I know a dozen guys who have acted that way towards me AND my friends!! It's soooo irritating!!!! I hope Kyoko's demons eat him to PIECES!!!! lol!

Hmm you know when it comes to male manga characters I can stand arrogance, cocky, loudmouths. I actually sometimes find them amusing as well as annoying. There are even some manga characters that are egotistical, but usually it's funny and forgivable because it never works for them and they are for the most part romantically ignored.
However, Sho takes it too far. Not only is he all these things, but he's extremely self-centered, rude, and he usually always gets what he wants. Kyoko and Ren are the only people on the planet that do not instantly submit to Sho's will. It's aggravating, his "high-and-mighty" attitude. Even though he did show a slightly better side of himself during the Reino incident, that doesn't excuse everything else. If nothing else, he most likely is attracted to Kyoko because he realizes the extent of her scars due to him and also realizes she is the one girl he can never have. I believe that this fact irks him to no end because he hates not getting his way. At the very least, Kyoko has caused him to realize that the world doesn't center around himself, but this slight change is still not enough to make me like him.
Sho sucks. KyokoxRen all the way!!

Personally, I believe hate is an overused word. I personally prefer to say that I 'loath him with a firey passion burning deep within my soul'. ^w^ Narcissist.
However, I do want to bring up a few points. if Sho wasn't a jerk, Kyoko would have never:
~stopped being his loyal pet
~sworn revenge
~unlocked her darling grudge demons
~joined show biz
~unlocked her true passions and talent
~had lots of interesting experiances
~made female friends
and most importantly:
~met Ren.
In short, without Sho, there would be no Skip Beat!
So I must say "THANK YOU SHO, YOU LYING, MANIPULATIVE CREEP!"
Kinda like what Kyoko says to Ruri after getting the make up put on her in the 'Princess' arc:
"And it's all because Ruri is selfish and arogant and insolent. Thank you"
And I'm glad he fell in love with her, too. 'Cause what hurts more than anything else is a broken heart, right? Is there any sweeter (or more fitting) revenge?
