Well, in advertising theirs a lot of pitching. It's up to you guys to catch the ball.
And in all honesty, I just throw this out occasionally. The fic gives people something to do anyways.

As much as I would like to see a happy ending, I think that maybe Eureka and Renton will never return to Bellforest, or see anyone from the series again. The ending for Eureka Seven reminds me of the ending for Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS team. The hero and heroinne both disappear from the world, to live alone together quietly and happily, undisturbed by war and such. But then you have what the Nirvash said, which then defeats the possible insinuation I made with my previous statement.
It could very well be that Eureka and Renton are getting "busy" and creating a new race that is both human and coralian. The would bring the two races closer together, but it could also have the opposite affect.
Now if a movie is made, it could take place either shortly after the series, or long after when Maurice Maeter and Linck are older. Perhaps Eureka and Renton never came back to them, and they decided to go out and search for them, after some tragic event, say the passing of Axel, the only guardian they had after the main characters.
But I'm just throwing things out there. It's late and I'm sleepy.

Eureka Seven not having a second series and/or movie would be like...like...How MSG:F91 turned out! It was supposed to be 52 eps. long, but they turned it into a movie! A horrible, horrible movie! DX And the F91 was the coolest looking...*rambles on pointlessly about past Gundam mistakes*

ive heard that there's a movei or special for E7 coming out...is this true??? ive also heard its continuing the series...or at least giving it a much more conclusive ending, when is it coming out?
