All around her there were voices and noises that her confused and befuddled brain could not process. Her eyes would not open and they felt as if the nerves had been pinched together. Belatedly she realized that this was due to the fact that they had been burned shut. Thats when she gained a small bit of feeling and reasoning back, she was out of the sunlight. Someone had moved her from the evil rays, someone had saved her. But who, and where was she?

Her breathing grew raged as she began to panic. She had been lost before but how far from the spot that she had fallen did they take her. She assumed she was in a villlage but of what kind? Was it peaceful? Or was it a shinobi village? Her breathing continued to become more eratic and she was sure that if anyone was in the room they would be alerted that she was awake. She thought she heard a door opening but her mind was in such a fury that she couldn't be sure.

She was starting to panic. She was breathing heavily but she had no breath. She couldn't open her eyes and there was someone else in the room. She could hardly move and there was someone else there. She was defenseless. She was in pain, she was scared, she was lost, hurt, and worst of all, they still probably didn't know how she had gotten this way. What if they put her in the sunlight thinking it was good for her recovery?

She opened her mouth and for a moment she couldn't speak. Her body started to shake in real fear. Then finally she got it out. "Sunlight, don't take me into the sunlight!"

The voice and its words calmed her slightly. They wouldn't take her into the sun. She was alright as long as he wasn't lieing. Belatedly she heard the doctors ask about her eyes and skin. She had gotten a burn once though it was not nearly as bad as this was. Her mother had mixed aloe with her blood to heel the skin, it was wrapped for an hour and when it was removed it was almost like the burn had never been there. Her eyes would need to be surgically opened but her skin should mostly heal if the salve was made correctly. She knew that along with many other things her blood had, like her mothers been infused with Plantain and Sheperd's Purse.

"Yes I would like to have my eyes again but I don't think a skin graph will be neccecary nor would it work as the majority of my own skin has the burn and thus cannot be used. You would have to use anothers skin and it could prove to be unhealthy and only cause further injury." The doctors seemed taken aback at her apperent knowledge from what she could tell from her remaining sences. "As for my skin if you can listen carefully and my voice lasts I know of a medicinal salve that should work." Though her voice was raspy she had gotten her point across and maybe, just maybe she couldbe on her way to healing.

It seemed that the girl knew a lot about medicine. Which actually wasn't surprising if she was sensitive to sunlight, and if it did that to her. Batou couldn't imagine what it was like to be her.

"What's the salve?" he asked, eyeing the doctor, who nodded. He probably already knew of it, but just in case there was some magical ingredient he stayed to listen as well. However several nurses went out to prepare the herbs.

Then, probably because of the emptiness of the hospital another boy came in, rather inappropriately Batou thought but never mind.

"Um hello.." he said pushing his hair back from his eyes and readjusting his glasses. "Well I was here to tend to this girl among other things." This was quite awkward.. "Why are you here?"

"This my room, in my time in my home village since I was born I have racked up over four full years in this hospital. Everytime I came here it this was my room, some of my best memoreis and last were in this room. I was actually in this room when the masters began their onslaught. I lost my sister here in this hospital and the other died. This room has been reserved for me since my first visit three months long." Hiro's nails were growing and his cat like eyes were growing white. His memories were causing him to anger, but Karite's voice came in his head. "Stay calm!" but that didnt help. Then his Sister Mizu came in his head. She calmed him back to normal. "You little spitfire, always getting into trouble."

"I do apologize if I am disturbing something."

"Aloe huh... and your blood," Batou said in wonderment. His aunt was actually quite good at alchemy and this would certainly intrigue her. He wondered what was with the girl's blood, but decided that to ask now would be quite inappropriate.

Behind him, the doctor cursed. But only very softly.

"We just ran out of aloe..." he said shortly, seeming rather angry at himself. Then he saw Hiro and his expression smoothened itself out again.

"Ah, you are Tategami Hiro are you not?" he said. Apparently he had heard of him, what with the frequent visits and all. "Would you mind if I asked you to go and gather some Aloe for the hospital?" The doctor was quite unpertubed by the change in Hiro's body which suggested a wide range of experience with all types of ninjas.

Meanwhile, Batou was at a loss for words.

"..I'm sorry for your loss," he said eventually, to both of them. "And oh! Forgive me. Even after so long I have not asked your name. What should I address you with?"

[Go to the Grove, gather 5 Aloes.

Search DC 10 then Survival DC 5 (to confirm that it's the right one). One after the other for 5 successes.]

"I'm sorry." She said simply. She took a deep breath and calmed her head, she wasn't sure what she was apologizing for. The fact that he had to find her, that they were taking care of her, or that she had just spoken of her own loss when it may have made him uncomforable. At length she answered his question. "Fuyu, Vesimine. And you, to what should I call my would-be savior?"
